    Visit Gayathri Tiffin Room or popularly called GTR in Mysore for a variety of dosas or tiffin time snacks like idli ! Breakfast or Tiffin Spots In Mysuru.
    Gayathri Tiffin Room, widely known as GTR in the city of Mysuru, is a destination loved for its tiffin items, especially a variety of dosas! This over half a century old establishment serves up tongue-tickling dosa, the favourite being the Gayatri Masala Dosa here, not the typical Mysore Masala with red chutney, but a thick roast with a soft underbelly.
    Customers who patronise this restaurant have grown in number over the years and often frequent the place for breakfast or tea-time tiffin.
    In this episode of Gourmet On The Road, Food Lovers’ Editor, Kripal Amanna visits the eatery for tiffin in the evening and savours three dosas, the GTR Masala Dose of course, along with an unusual Green Dosa and an Open Butter Masala Dose. He also tastes one of the best Kesari Baths he has ever eaten!

    a delightful crunchy dosa with a soft interior. has a nice buttery flavour. the potatoes are soft, creamy and have a generous amount of onion and fresh coriander for that sprightly freshness. the dosa itself is quite thick. served with a fresh spicy chutney.

    the idli has a grainy texture and a mildly vegetal flavour that suggests it may have been steamed in a leaf. the spicy chutney has the fresh flavour of coconut and body from the ground lentils. the sambar has a gentle sweetness typical of a south canara sambar.

    the heavy texture and thickness is reminiscent of an uthappam. nicely roasted at the bottom. served with a tasty vegetable saagu and a spicy chutney to lift all the flavours. there’s a mild lingering flavour of dill.

      No way, They may serve best masala dosa but when it comes to Idli, they can never compete with Madurai style idli. Tamil Nadu makes the best idli in the whole universe.

    GTR chutney is as famous as it's dishes.But the spread of palya is steadily decreasing in both B'lore and Mysore. Once opon a time the palya was as large as the dose itself. Pl note Mr Kripal

    Me and my daughter we usually go there to have tuppa dosa and masala dosa. Its kind of retained old taste but i usually ask them to put less oil while preparing masala dosa, and they do the same.

    There's a food point called Bangalore cafe in 9th Main Rd, 2nd Block, Jaya Nagar East, Jayanagar, near Malabar gold.
    They have really good dishes. Especially the vada and dosa are very crispy.

    Never been to GTR and would try in next visit to Mysooru. Trademark FLT review, spot on. Idly Dose ge swalpa break kodabahudu and 2nd innings nalli matte start madi anything left out now.
    The only reason why I am suggesting the below is that you try something unique as expected by most of your subscribers.
    Had been to Nepal recently and found their fare really interesting and delicious. Many of your subscribers are seeking you do a Andhra, TN etc tour.... when you are done with that...Trust me Nepal wont disappoint you. The Thakali style is a must try.
    Note: As a start, try the Bamey's Restro Cafe in Koramangala before heading to Nepal.

    Hi sir..u see once gayatri bhavan pure butter dosa in davanagere I'm taking every Friday 4 year to I'm taking .. near kaipeatai davanagere.. Open dosa. And butter dosa good taste... Know in bangalore 3 years missing that dosa... Actually I'm bangalore persons.. ther work purpose I went there.. I love it that dosa.. Pure butter
