😲自己紹介
会社を辞め、ギターを持って旅に出たGhibli Ojisan（ジブリおじさん）です。11ヶ月で27カ国訪れ、世界各地でジブリのインストや叩き系ギターを弾いてきました。
2018年8月にUA-cam公式「急上昇クリエイター」として選出されたことをキッカケに、海外旅行やシンガポールについての動画もアップし始めました。
世界旅行後は台湾1ヶ月プチ移住、ノルウェー3ヶ月生活（農業ボランティア）など経験し、2019年1月にシンガポールに拠点を移しました。

僕はシンガポール人です。逆に、シンガポールに取材受けたことはないけど、日本には受けたことあります。笑
シンガポールの観光写真は高層ビルとかマーライオンの所ばかりなので、面積がそこだけしかないようなイメージですが、淡路島くらい面積があるんでしたよね。
最近も淡路島をドライブしていて、シンガポールも他に街があるはずなのに、なぜ他の場所の写真とか動画が出てこないのかなと思っていました。
で、Ghib Ojisanさんがタイミングよくアップされた動画をみて、こう言う街もあるのを知って生の生活圏を見られて良かったです。
これからもシンガポールの反対側の端とか秘境などあれば紹介して下さい。

You do not reschedule teen minutes before the meeting.
You talked about food review... how about "rojak" from Toa Payoh? And Warong Nasi Pariaman (indonesian padang food) at North Bridge Rd. These two quite good.
I would personally recommend you not to buy these keychains or items from people walking into cafes at 1:29
Most of them are fake, they'd say they're mute and simply not talk
The profit margin they make is enormous too.
These kind of sellers are not really allowed in SIngapore, and stores will generally not allow it to happen, but they won't enforce it too strictly. Most locals try not to entertain them to discourage them from continuing. But yes, like you've mentioned, some just choose to buy it out of compassion.
The real ones who need help can get help from the government or charity organizations. Some beg (with a license too) at MRT stations.
Also, if you visit places like Tampines MRT interchange or some others, there could be youths walking up to you with a paper/pad and pen, and ask you to donate to a charity and sell you a pen or something. Not all locals are aware, but that is a scam too. Don't entertain them.
I once bought a pen with my friends because the lady was very respectful & courteous, it turned out afterwards, we searched the website and it did not exist.
In general, we don't patronize them not because we aren't compassionate, but in Singapore its not allowed & also there are many other avenues for them to seek help. We also prefer to donate to non-profit organizations approved by the government, so we know our money is really going to help others.
Also, the people who beg on the streets are not homeless. The government will provide those who really need help w a one room flat and a monthly allowance of roughly 500 (my friend's dad works as a social worker so he has the opportunity to be hands on in helping these people)
Most of them are begging to seek additional income outside from the allowance, to let them buy more items and have a better quality of life I guess. But the allowance can allow them to live a sufficient (though perhaps not the best) life.
There are also tissue paper sellers at hawkers. Those, we locals buy once in awhile. But similar to begging, its for additional allowance
イーシュンの再生数が突出してるのにたまたま気付いてなんでかなーと思ってたんですが、そういうことだったんですね。
たくさん動画が溢れている今、日頃から注目度高い内容よりも、むしろ誰も手を出してないところに着目することが大事なのかなと感じました。
The reporter bought up a really good point! Not much singaporean youtuber are actually doing vlogs about the true beauty of singapore.

Thats my initial thought... the reporter is not very professional changing the schedule at the last minute, no need to help her give excuses.

@@voxnocturne and she is a reporter too lol.. I learnt Communications in my University, and what I learned that is most important as a PR when communicating with journalists or reporter is to be always on time, but as a reporter herself she is late. And she is the one who initiated the interview too
I'm not impressed by the reporter professionalism. Sigh.

私もフナンセンター10月に行きましたよ。電気関係の店多くて楽しい。その近く外のほうにあった奈雪の茶のフルーツチーズティーが美味しかった🧀是非試してみて。。。私も、凄く良くシティーホールには行きますね。ビジネスマンが多いデスね。ジブオジ取材すごいなぁ。かっケェーーー(๑>◡
It feels like you know us - how we think and feel. And that’s impressive. Your research was well done indeed 😁 Fyi for your food blog, check out this area for “White Restaurant” selling famous gravilicious seafood white beehoon at 22 Jln Tampang, Singapore 758966 - opposite the old Sembawang Shopping Centre, but closed on Wed or Thu (I’ve forgotten). It’s a quaint little area of eateries nested among shophouses and low-rise buildings. Food is also affordable there. Nice place to chill with friends.
Some other neighbourhoods known for good food includes, Toa Payoh, Tiong Bahru hawker centre (surrounded by hipster cafes too), and of course Yishun (again haha).
Been loving your videos that show the real Singapore, which is more than the “flashy” side of Singapore. Love your answer to the first question of the interview. As some comments say, your video is deserves more subscribers! I honestly believe that this is just the beginning and the best is yet to come for you - keep it up!
should visit the religious places where temples and mosques are side by side in harmony. The kranji memorial war cemetry should make a try. The camera should focus more to front angle rather to your face as it facing the back view

Contrary to what you mentioned, most singaporeans don't donate to these questionable people. They may even be foreigners trying to prey on your compassion. Some of them even scold when you don't buy from them. hate their sense of entitlement. What they sell are not only more expensive (syndicate i guess) but has no practical use. Tissue? we all carry it, wet ones even.

If you live in Sengkang, you can visit the Sengkang library to edit your video during this period when your neighbour is renovating his house. I go there to edit my videos or do works on my laptop sometimes. Who knows, we might bump into each other! Keep up the great works!
You can see the difference between Japanese and Singaporean, Japanese care about the environment, whereas Singaporean care about showing off, fancy brand. That's why he chose a mug and she chose the non-recyclable Starbucks cup even there was an option for mugs.
