I feel strongly that Micah needs more of an identify as a player. When he’s decisive he is electric, but when he’s not he gets timid and it effects all his shots. So much game and so fun to watch, I just would like to see a confident Micah. I really think it’s mental, and that he has a lot of game. Good luck and keep grinding, we are all here supporting you!
he also needs a short game 😬. you look at guys on the korn ferry tour, they’re all exceptional wedge players and have great control over their short game. if micah can learn to get up and down from everywhere he’s gonna be great
Yeah Michael I agree with you. You hit it on the head. As he gets better he will clean up small things here and there. His composure will improve as well. Rooting for you Micah! Keep your head up and pushing. Hard work pays off.
I agree with the comments about the mental game. You can hear it in his voice when it's is not going well, he wants it so bad, and you really feel for him in those moments.
I love Micah to death but it is so frustrating to watch how scared he plays a round of golf. Hitting 2 iron off 17 of 18 tees and missing 95% of his putts short is just unacceptable at that level of competition. He has to get more confident with driver and he NEEDS to figure out the FOGL mental block he has
Man that is so devastating to see that finish Micah. My favorite part about you is that you find the good side of the round which inspires me to do the same.
Found micah from good good, when he left i wasnt sure what was gonna happen. Just cool to see dude keep uploading and smashing in pro tourneys now. Good content

I've never seen you trying to draw almost every shot like that. Just relax, have fun and play your game. You just seemed really tense. I'm rooting for ya Tig 100%. Go get em man!!
I think you are spot on with the nutrition on the course. Getting tired makes a tough game harder both mentally and physically. Thanks to everyone involved getting the coverage.
It’s great that you come back and look at these rounds and discuss what happened. A plus 5 would be a terrific round for most golfers and it was so interesting to see you lose 7 shots or so in 5 holes. But you learn and you move on.
Always gotta bring those scooby snacks Micah! You started getting a little pissy down the stretch. With the exception of the 4 putt, you did a great job not to let it spiral downhill too much. Good mental toughness. I always have some kind of protein and start sipping on a cold coffee drink around hole 12 myself or else my game starts to degrade down the stretch.
I would humbly recommend talking with a sports psychologist. They give you some tools to deal with stress in pressure situations and to keep you mentally level. Good job Micah and looking forward to 2023.
Micah love to see your steps to pro golf. Nutrition is very important and I had the same problems when I played competition this year. I talked with a sport nutritionist for how I can keep up my energy level during a round of golf and this helped me during my round’s.
Super format, these insiders are so cool. Keep playing in competition, it is all about dealing with the stress, nothing more, nothing less. Strong player.
Excellent introspective into the mental toughness needed in a tournament. Lacking nutritional stability is definitely difficult when under pressure. Overall, the promise that was shown indicates that you have a real shot to compete at high levels with some small adjustments.
I love watching you play you think every shot through your very strategic with your club and shot choice you don't just get up and rip driver every time. Keep up the good work
Hey Tig just came from the match against Wesley where you played phenomenal and I noticed all of the first hole and the tee shot on the second your internal clock was ticking a little faster. Your steps were a little faster, your swing, your routine, everything was moving a little quicker than usual. It is probably all just adrenaline but seeing how you made par on the first after the weekend you had, it could be worth thinking about leaning into that quicker mindset. It could all just be in my head but it could help you out.
As soon as you hit that 2 iron and talked about you not eating I knew where this was going you have to fuel the body to compete mental is everything in this game keep working!
Great content Micah! Really enjoying watching your channel and you journey. Nutrition is probably my biggest lesson from 2022. Made a huge difference to my game especially when playing a 36-hole tournament in 1 day. Keep it up!

I think it is the pressure to a degree. Micah is an unbelievable golfer, but it seems like he always looks good at the turn and fades down the home stretch in these tourney settings. Has a bad hole and it snowballs on him. Love the content, and an rooting for you. The more you play in these, the more comfortable you will get hopefully…

Ngl, I’ve been rooting for Micah even though I disliked him the most when he was in GG. I just found him hard to watch since he was always mad and a sore loser. But since he’s left, I can see a big difference. It’s refreshing. Get it Tig!
As the video started, i thought - man he looks exhausted. Your form and mentality was great, easy to fade fast when your not feeling well in addition to lack of fuel. Shake it off, keep your mental game and lock into your "process." Your gonna have a looooow round soon in comp 😉
I get you have a strategy but if I could drive 300+ yards I’d smash that thing where you were hitting 2 irons off the tees. But as always love the video!
Good video, hopefully you learned from this and can build. One thing I did notice (and this is something I do as well in competitive rounds) is you acquiesce to mediocre shots. Not putting a straightforward chip/pitch or approach shot close to the pin and then just saying “I’m just glad I have a putt” is a subtle way of making you complacent in your game. It’s tough to break out of that in competition where you feel like you are scrambling all the time but you have to work on your mindset to keep your edge.

Ngl, I’ve been rooting for Micah even though I disliked him the most when he was in GG. I just found him hard to watch since he was always mad and a sore loser. But since he’s left, I can see a big difference. It’s refreshing. Get it Tig!
Golf just sucks sometimes. But we ALWAYS come back for more baby! Great job Micah, and well done keeping your composure.
