When I was a much younger woman, I ran around in a tizzy, always frantic to get things done. I lived the majority of my life on a small farm & you were always DOING something. I had my sheep, my dogs, my gardens, a big vegetable patch, along with my daughter & husband. There wasn't much time for BEING. Now, I am older, wiser & I look back & think what a fool I was, as, the work always managed to get done. I live in a small city now & still have a dog, flowers & some vegetables, along with herbs. I have learned the grace of just BEING- sitting on my porch with a nice cup of herbal tea & a good book & surveying my little "kingdom". If I can pass on any wisdom, it is this- take the time EVERY day to do at least ONE thing you absolutely love. We only get each day once & once it's gone, it's gone. Thank you for this! Love & light
Yes you are right. The work gets done but you never get that time back again to simply enjoy and thank the Lord for the birds and birdsong, the blossoms and the fragrance. God bless🙏
Sometimes I feel like I'm not doing enough. But then I realize that I don't have to do it all at one time. I do what needs to be done when it needs to be done and don't beat myself up if other things don't get done. Sending you all many blessings.
5:43 my mother always told me that she new the barometric pressure was up because she felt run down. So she would have a day where she would do nothing but what she felt like dong. Then a rain would come and she felt better afterwards. Your video reminded me of her saying that. My mum has passed to a better place. I love it when I wake up and hear her talking to me through a channel of life.
Its funny, I thought the same thing the other day!! I was making my way outside, pruners in hand, with all my to-do stuff rolling around in my head as usual, and I thought: all this tending to it but when do I get to just take it all in?, be in it? A garden to-do list is never ending so I grabbed lawn chair and just parked it right in the middle of it all. I was there for hours and it was amazing how much was going on, things I didnt realize were there, the beauty of everything in harmony with itself. I was overwhelmed with gratitude! The look on Brocks face says it all! Thank you Terry!! Much love 🥰❤
You were right!. I recently said to my daughter, I hope you will look after my garden when I die and she said, No Mam, this is your thing and I am not a gardener. It made me realise if I don't just BE and enjoy it now, what is the point, so I am more relaxed now about the overwhelming amount of work to do.😂😂
Being - Not Doing - PERFECT wisdom to remember! I planted my garden not only for herbs and produce, but also for flowers for the pollinators and for me to enjoy their beauty. I need to remind myself to take more time to relax, enjoy and just BE, instead of constantly checking my to-DO list. Wonderful video - Thank You!
That sounds like me, always checking the to-do list! Once in a while it is a good idea to just be and appreciate and enjoy all the activity that caused it to be so beautiful 😀 xx
Today I harvested chamomile too! I recently had heart surgery, and am unable to do my usual huge vegetable garden so I am living your words. I can only do a little, and then exhaustion takes over, but those are blessed moments for me ~ to finally just sit in the Roses and Verbascum, herbs and spires of Hesperus and let the beauty and energy flow over me. I am so grateful to God I'm alive, every moment is precious. Thank You, Danu!
This was so beautiful… Thankyou for sharing… you are so right … we need to get off that treadmill… and I love your paisley pants … just lovely.. have a wonderful day.💚
It’s nice to just putter around in the garden at a leisurely pace, taking time to look at everything, as opposed to being on a mission so to speak. On days you have time to go this way, it’s the best!
It's hard to find a friend to come sit and be with on my schedule. But I get to sit with my friend Terri for a short moment to ponder healthy vibes as we sit in my ancient protected forest in the Sacramento Mountains in the southern tip of the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico. Allowing my inner child to play. Thanks friends 😊
Your message today was one I needed to hear but something I find very difficult to implement. As soon as I sit down in the garden I notice everything that needs doing and have to get up again!
I know the feeling 😂 but you have to be strict with yourself. Try remaining sitting and put that job on the list for tomorrow. Then you will feel you have achieved something and bring a book out with you!!
My spirit guides told me the same thing years ago. I didn't know what to do and they told me just be. And behold life unfolded😊 I am tired today and that is good advice❤
Yes just to be , my yoga teacher always has ended class by saying now is the time just to be after all the physical work is finished. Thanks Terri 🏴
Thank you for this timely vlog. I really appreciated your message today Terri but also Lol’s beautifully filmed footage and his music. It gave me a moment where my brain stopped processing thought and made me appreciate how essential it is for me to be in harmony with nature, in its rhythm and flow. I hope that you both have a lovely week and can also find rest.
So very appreciated & necessary Terri. If I do stop & sit, the animals always respond, appearing out of thin air. Birds, kangaroos, all manner of wild life & my dogs breath a sigh of relief😅🧚🏼♀️🌸 I am so grateful for your generosity & sharing your beautiful environment 🐕🐶🐈🐔🐓💞
Completely agree about when we are doing jobs they never end or so it feels but it's as you've said it's about living in the moment before it's gone..it sounds like you're coming down after such a busy and important weekend .,.we build up to such expenses and we have to come back and that's difficult to get back into it all again.. you're doing a brilliant job so just be in the moment Your piece reminded me of DH Lawrence's poem...we have no time to stand and stare ...so it's good to stop and stand and stare
Good day Dear Terri and Lol. What a timely message. It's becoming a bit difficult for the desert gardens right now. We're suffering from lack of rain ( 80 days without a drop and temperatures are over 105 F ) so it's not easy to watch my plants withering or to sit outside right now, but I can still take your advice and take this as a time to' just be'. Your area is always so lush and green and that brings me a smile and the dogs, I love watching them follow along with you. Thank you so much for the message and the general beauty. ( speaking of beauty, your hair looks absolutely gorgeous) Love and Green blessings always 💜🎑🐾🐾💜
Happy Father's Day to Lol. For the first time I have not one but two Mullein plants in my garden. I am in awe just watching it grow. So majestic, so symmetrical. ... Your video is inspirational. It's nice to just take a moment here and there, and become one with the garden. We have a variety of birds that come to our feeding station, and a neighbourhood cotton tail visiting regularly. Squirrels, too many and too often to say, entertain us with their antics and wit. My favourite summertime place is my own backyard. Enjoy the week.
Magical all those wild flowers...we do not have in the Netherlands anymore! Here a poem about 'Being'...: 'Be Still and Know l am God. Be Still and Know that I am. Be Still and Know that. Be Still and Know. Be Still. Be. Love and light from The Netherlands❤
Just lying in bed, with Nartz my companion cat. it's very early morning here in Oz...I'm listening to you as my body rests...love down time....being to me is full of observations, helps with clarity...clears the mind.centers me.
Thanks for the reminder to just be and relax. Im also recuperating today from a whirlwind weekend of volunteer work, gardening and harvesting and I’m feeling tired! I’ll be communing with my plants each evening this week while harvesting pounds of black and red currants. I love being out among my native meadow and food plants every evening. It calms and also motivates me. Thanks for the lovely video. Your dogs make me smile.
Hello to you both, lovely views once again the intro music suits the land and photography, perfect . I often tell people " just be" find the stillness within and look outside at your wonderful gardens watch how the birds communicate with each other, telepathic signals. butterflies follow from one to the other as bees do, they aren't fussing around they are just being. We work hard to maintain our gardens but some people never seem to spend time listening to the Goddess. I know people who say oh no I can't just sit I have to be doing something, busy bustling around going from one project to the next, in the winter months too it has a special light that changes everything to sit and watch the night come in is really magical. I have Wood Pigeons nesting in my garden Sycamore, as I sit in the evening light or having breakfast outside, I hear a pigeon in the tree, making a sort of contentment sigh a soft murmur, I listen it's the best sound for deep relaxing breathing and contentment flows through me. You have a lot of beautiful plants The pink David Austin Rose looks similar to one I have called " Generous Gardener, smell beautiful, later in the year it has beautiful orange Rose hips a beacon of light on a winters day in the garden.hugs and Blessings to you all. 💚🌹
Thank you Terri and Lol for this beautiful and calm video I’m so guilty of not just ‘being’ living alone, running my garden and house is such hard work alongside my ‘paid’ job If only I could step off the treadmill and follow your path… That is my dream ….. Thank you for your inspiration and sharing your gorgeous pups with us Hope you wake tomorrow fully refreshed and you feel much better Greetings from Shropshire 🙏🏼🥰
Thank you Terri. Such a nice and soothing video. Especially for Virgo people or people woth strong Virgo placements there's always tbis constant jeed to be productive and get stuff done. Sometimes it's necessary to justnstop, take a moment and smell the roses.
I feel like I'm BEING DONE IN but these are great gentle videos to help calm the nerves so top of the morning to you Terry and thanks as always for your positive energy. It really helps in this negative neighbour energy swamp I find myself having to cope with. Police around twice this week. Seagull feeding nutters filming me again in my garden but not the agreed filming that you are doing and a neighbour thug friend of the seagull nutters who likes to try and intimidate me so having to try and watch him with a security camera. I probably should move but I guess that's what they want and are trying to make me do so I hope you enjoy and appreciate the serenity you have there. It helps me even to watch it and know that it does not have to be like here with some bad neighbours. BTW got to loving my lemon balm tea. I just rinse the balm and throw it into a mug with hot water and some demerara sugar and leave it in the mug as I drink it. I love the simplicity of that. The leaves even look kind of pretty in the mug as you drink!🥰
The Lemon Balm will be helping you to cope. I am sorry to hear you are having trouble still and hope it can be sorted. Is there a neighbourhood community group that you can call on for help?
Beautiful phrase to remember each day, even for moments! Thank you for the reminders! The gardens, pups & you look so well in nature! Even though the weather has been cool here in Alberta, Canada, I’m getting out in my wild gardens nearly every day. The inside work will wait for fall & winter! Big hugs 🤗🇨🇦
I love that just being still and appreciative of the beauty all around us and especially in our gardens Thank you for sharing 😊 💕 🌿 Your herb gardens are so tranquil n beautiful 😍
Your words today inspired me to comment. I've been retired for years now, and always tried to find a part-time job with benefits so I had time for my little farm, my garden, animals (especially my horses. Horses are part of my soul), writing fiction. Work was always an interruption in my day. I always had better things to do, but needed money, health benefits - someone has to pay the farrier, buy feed, pay the taxes! Anyway, I've done some past-life regressions, and had a few readings from psychics, and done a bit of family history - all Irish and English (97.4%). I've always been drawn to being outside, even as a little girl on our dairy farm, I was nibbling on the mint in the creek, wondering what the names of the flowers and rocks were. One past life regression took me to a very ancient Ireland, and I was the healer woman of the people - no wonder I've always been drawn to herbs, gardens. I also get a bit of psychic ability from Irish grandmothers, one grandmother showed herself sitting by the sea in her cottage reading cards and tea leaves. So when I look at places in England and Ireland, I imagine my ancestors might have lived there, worked there. I know Patrick and Bridget left Ireland during the potato famine years. Anyway, there are many reasons I love your channel. And, yes, I have some mint, lemon balm, and calendula drying as we speak. :)
Thank you for this perfect video! I was just talking about how hard it is to rest, with a friend today - one can get out of practice of simply being able to relax! Thank you again for your wisdom !
I call this being in the REcovery tank....RE setting RE vitalizing RE juvenating. When the "tank" is a bench in the garden with herbal tea, two dogs a grandchild and some sweet music...in IRELAND....ahhhh 'tis very good!
Your videos give me a very calm vibe and relaxes me plus I get lots of knowledge from you 😊 I adore you, I feel your soul, it is very beautiful and pure. May the Lord bless you and give you abundance in your life ❤️
Resonates completely with me, I have already decided to slow down, and I am going to meditate more, and sit and listen to what my garden is telling and stop listening to my monkey mind, really need to be more mindful seem to have wandered away from my practices, I know from how tired I feel I need me time and am taking notice and doing things for me for a change. 💖
Thanks for this. A friend told me long ago. It is ok to just be a human being, not always a human doing working oneself to exhaustion . But many time iI fail at that. I did last week Hartville too much Lemonbalm took hours to clean and hang 😮
Has I was watching this, I was thinking of the scripture in the bible, Ecclesiastes chapter 3 'To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven' I love your garden anyway, so glad you had a lovely time on holiday, Have a great week 😊
Love this, we spend so long doing that we struggle to understand the beauty in being. Sit down a couple of times with a cuppa and watch the bees, listen to the garden then do what needs doing.
I love that house with the living rooftop it’s so whimsical. It’s perfect for this video. If that is yours could you please show more of the rooftop and go into detail about it. I have tried to just spen time in my garden other than just watering it lately but, the grasshopper have taken over and I am sad to report the hawthorn you sent me didn’t make it. Every thought I covered it and everything nothing ever came up. 💚🌱
Hi Terri and Lol 🌞🌿 thank you so much for this lovely video, I love every video you make, they are a marvellous window to your fantastic, peaceful garden. Yes, you must enjoy your beautiful garden ( as Jazz and Broc do) just being there. Animals are so intelligent , we must learn from them 🐾💖I missed the last week video 😢 😅Thank you and have a wonderful time in the garden and a wonderful week 💚🌼🌸🙂
Thank you so much! I am going to enjoy it all this week and plant and not worry about getting things done. Everything seems happy which is main thing. Hope you have a lovely week too xx
Hello Terri🎼☀️🌿 Love love love this message! Couldn’t agree with you more. When I slow down and just be I feel the nature around me is more able to embrace me with its amazing healing power. What a gift! 🌼☕️ Thank you!
🦋🇺🇸👋Good Morning Everyone. Yes just being and enjoying. It’s my peaceful place. I love to just sit and look at my beautiful small Garden and flowers. God Bless you and thank you 🙏 ❤
Those days when we just don't feel 100%, and we're not even sure why... how wonderful to have the natural world to turn to for comfort and communing, as well as the health benefits we can derive from enjoying their bounty. Thanks for this reminder to slow down and smell the roses!
Thankyou Terri. Your musings reminded me of a piece of wisdom from the Tao Te Ching, "Do without doing and everyting gets done"...Being but also doing from a space of being...it's a mind-bender but actually makes some kind of sense to me. Love your videos..x
I think so too. When I was a kid we had weekends - designated days for recuperation. Nowadays, weekends just get swallowed up into the week😓 gotta take our BEing time back xx
When I was a much younger woman, I ran around in a tizzy, always frantic to get things done. I lived the majority of my life on a small farm & you were always DOING something. Blessings to you too and even if you had got more done, turn around and it has to be done again 😂😂
Thanks for saying it's ok just to have a day for being. I had a day like that today and it made me so happy ❤
So glad to hear that. See how simple it us to be happy 😊 xx
Happy Summer Solstice. ☀️

Yes, it's important to put the work in and then relax and enjoy 😊
So true. Often times I feel like so-called friends just take the friendship for granted.
That little Brock is the cutest "being" ever. The segment of home, sea, horses and perfect music made my heart sing

My inside jobs are already mounting up 😂😂
I love that just being still and appreciative of the beauty all around us and especially in our gardens Thank you for sharing 😊 💕 🌿 Your herb gardens are so tranquil n beautiful 😍

So many of us are remembering, we live in interesting times xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Yes, we are. That's a good thing! :)
Absolutely lovely…Be in this moment, this breath NOW. And your music at the ending is the whip cream on the cake 🌹🐝🧚🏼♀️♥️
🤗
Glad you enjoyed the music xx
Thank you for this perfect video! I was just talking about how hard it is to rest, with a friend today - one can get out of practice of simply being able to relax! Thank you again for your wisdom !

I call this being in the REcovery tank....RE setting RE vitalizing RE juvenating. When the "tank" is a bench in the garden with herbal tea, two dogs a grandchild and some sweet music...in IRELAND....ahhhh 'tis very good!

You are so welcome and thank you too xx
Resonates completely with me, I have already decided to slow down, and I am going to meditate more, and sit and listen to what my garden is telling and stop listening to my monkey mind, really need to be more mindful seem to have wandered away from my practices, I know from how tired I feel I need me time and am taking notice and doing things for me for a change. 💖
I am in the same place - planning to do all those good things, just have to stick to the plan😂
Thank you so much for this lovely video. It's very true. Just to bex
You are so welcome Joan. Peace to you xx
Thankyou...BE in the garden...I take that with me today❤
Great! Have a wonderful day xx
Thanks for this. A friend told me long ago. It is ok to just be a human being, not always a human doing working oneself to exhaustion .
But many time iI fail at that. I did last week Hartville too much Lemonbalm took hours to clean and hang 😮
I know and that can take the joy out of it. Listen to your friend xx
This has been wonderful, thank you so much Terri ❤
You are so welcome! Xx
Perfect❤
Just waking up here and listening to the birds
In North Van BC
A lovely start to the day xx
❤
Perfect day beautiful garden and seeing the pups enjoying being out
Thank you for the reminder. I find myself always doing and thinking of what needs to be done. I need to just slow down and enjoy more.
Yes you do so give yourself permission xx
Love your content. It is so soothing and yes, we need to feel good about just being. Doing is the product of wellbeing;)
Thank you and hope you are feeling good xx
Has I was watching this, I was thinking of the scripture
in the bible,
Ecclesiastes chapter 3
'To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven'
I love your garden anyway, so glad you had a lovely time on holiday,
Have a great week 😊
Than you Rachel, we had a lovely time at a wedding celebration. Hope you have a great week too xx
My what a beautiful video today. I enjoyed it so!!!!! Terri your hair looked a little different. Very pretty. ❤️🦉🐿
Oh thank you! I'm not too sure about it. Have a lovely week xx
Love this, we spend so long doing that we struggle to understand the beauty in being. Sit down a couple of times with a cuppa and watch the bees, listen to the garden then do what needs doing.
Yes, get your breath and your bearings! xx
Lovely, thank you.I enjoyed a cup of coffee while walking around your garden with you.
So glad you liked it, Mary xx
I love that house with the living rooftop it’s so whimsical. It’s perfect for this video. If that is yours could you please show more of the rooftop and go into detail about it. I have tried to just spen time in my garden other than just watering it lately but, the grasshopper have taken over and I am sad to report the hawthorn you sent me didn’t make it. Every thought I covered it and everything nothing ever came up. 💚🌱
Oh, sorry to hear that about the Hawthorn. Will do in the future xx
Hello Terri🎼☀️🌿
Love love love this message! Couldn’t agree with you more. When I slow down and just be I feel the nature around me is more able to embrace me with its amazing healing power. What a gift! 🌼☕️ Thank you!
I think you are right. So many beings in Nature are moving more slowly that they need us to slow down so that they can work their magic😄 xx
Such a nice video. So beautiful. Just what I needed. Thank you so much for this--truly! 🧡
So glad it was timely for you xx
🦋🇺🇸👋Good Morning Everyone. Yes just being and enjoying. It’s my peaceful place. I love to just sit and look at my beautiful small Garden and flowers. God Bless you and thank you 🙏 ❤

Hi Danu, Yes indeed thank you for reminding us all to take time in the garden and have a quiet day. much appreciation thank you.🌼🥰
You are so welcome xx
Those days when we just don't feel 100%, and we're not even sure why... how wonderful to have the natural world to turn to for comfort and communing, as well as the health benefits we can derive from enjoying their bounty. Thanks for this reminder to slow down and smell the roses!
The natural world will always put us to rights again xx
Love BEING in my garden, dug the first potatoes up just enough for my dinner, nature is wonderful. Happy Solstace
Happy Solstice to you too xx

A relaxing visit with Terri Conroy! Beauty everywhere as always. Thank you🍀
You're welcome - glad it was relaxing for you. Beauty is everywhere if we look xx
Thankyou Terri. Your musings reminded me of a piece of wisdom from the Tao Te Ching, "Do without doing and everyting gets done"...Being but also doing from a space of being...it's a mind-bender but actually makes some kind of sense to me. Love your videos..x
Ha ha, yes it is a mind bender. I get it if I don't think too much about it. xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden exactly ;) x
Absolutely loved this 🙏💚🐕🦺🐕
Good morning my coffee friend!! Much needed wisdom from a very wise woman. Very much needed at any time but much more so in today's high tension.
I think so too. When I was a kid we had weekends - designated days for recuperation. Nowadays, weekends just get swallowed up into the week😓 gotta take our BEing time back xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Your timing on the message was perfect and exactly what I needed. Much appreciated!!
Beautiful reminder. So lovely to 'be' with you ALL today ❤
You are! xx
