When I think about it, it seems like the four all had complete turnarounds. Mahiru goes from hiding her art to wanting to show everyone. Kiui goes from pretending she’s not a shut-in to embracing her shut+in lifestyle. Mei goes from idolizing Tachibana to being Tachibana. Kano goes from singing to get back at her haters to singing to inspire everyone including her haters.
This show gave me major A Place Further than the Universe vibes in the best way. For the young adult/college grad version, I very highly recommend Sakura Quest and the Laid Back Camp (future time skip) movie
Well done finale, although the way the relationship between Mahiru and Kano was portrayed across the series felt something more than a good friendship. I think acknowledging romantic interest between the two by the end would have elevated the final result, both emotionally and plot wise.
Nice episode. It ended on a high note. Kano and Mahiru finally made up and said sorry to one another. Yukine finally acknowledging what her daughter has achieved was really emotional. I liked Kiui's advice to her followers. Some people will call them weird but they don't have to worry about it. JELEE is here and they will support you. Kimi giving advice to a fan about not giving up on your dreams. Mero & Kano finally being friends. Really good series. Each girl managed to find meaning in their lives.
The mother is nasty and manipulative and she knew about the lookanidiot site for sure. At least they didn't hug or something like that. I don't understand the scene in high school, because she doesn't care at all about her daughter, but I suppose that it's ok for giving Kano closure . The episode was good, but for me the redeeming factor of this series is the Watase Kyuu//Nox Ryugasaki character, it was really well done. Mahiru was a good character too, because they show us the bad side of her character too. Great show, I hope we get something more about the characters in the future.
Still a bit dissatisfied with how rushed the whole breaking up drama felt, but they didn’t have that much time to develop the story in only 12 chapters. I loved the themes of the story about inspiration, passions and dreams. This could’ve been one series that sticks for a while but I haven’t seen that much hype surrounding it, I’ll miss watching it weekly for sure. Still a great series imo
I really enjoyed this anime from star to finish, I will definitely miss it. I am really happy that things worked out for everyone in the end. There was something in their past that haunted them, but they were able to overcome them, and I enjoyed seeing them all being happy at the end.
I got lucky that I started watching this series this morning, ended up binging the whole season in 1 day. Really really liked the show. It was entertaining and sweet with a great ending
A really good show it's been a pleasure to follow it every week, and in turn to hear your thoughts on each episode have also been fun. Thanks for putting up videos despite the numbers!
I felt like the ending was rush because how Kano have make up with her former idol band I wish the scene they actually talk to each other instead those two hanging out at coffee shop like there friends already.
Sea Jellies definitely succeeded where the Kizuna Ai anime failed. I know JELLEE is a utaite group / solo and I do follow several indie utaite on YT. I thought JELLEE's live performance would be like Ado's or Nanami Urara's live concert. Both of them have have online avatar and at times have live concert in the flesh. Both use lighting techniques that hide their faces well.
I'm still feeling a little bitter about Mero, considering that if what she did went public, then Kano punching her might of been justified in the publics eyes. Idk I just feel like there was a whole story arc there that could of been explored but instead her and Kano become friends off screen.
Sorry but despite the good parts in the first half in the end this series was bad. So many problems, forced drama with characters not talking and apart without a convincing reason (also felt like JELEE arrived there without any previous rehearsals and no contact with the production), "annoying lesbian" (Mei-type characters should be a criminal offense), incoherent character progression (how many times did Kano forgot for what she was singing for?), no one talked and addressed pending questions in the end (why did Kano just went past her mother without talking with her in the end?). Even the director admited that he wants to make better anime than this on Twitter!

They showed the father looking at the new mural. He is following her in the background
This was a real gem definitely one of the best anime’s this season!

I think another factor in Mero cheering Kano on is that she didn't wan't to see Yukine's big project fail

I just want to say one thing
Where is the french kiss???
I was also waiting for that scene, they should have allocated like half their budget for a 1-2 minute french kiss.
This is the last episode, wonder will it get a season 2.
Did I miss them saying decisively that JELEE would regroup and resume productions going forward, or stay retired after wrapping up the final song?

season 2: the father arc?

I am happy that Kimi found someone

This show is very good, I also enjoyed it.
Beautiful anime it just sucks it won't get much attention and love because mostly all people want is there action shonen
Loved the OST on this ep, really good stuff. Pretty good finale.

Great finale. Jellyfish, Girls Band Cry and Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master great new spring shows.

I think Baba is 32 not 42 (sub error) I heard her say "Sanjuu ni-sai" (32)
If you enjoy this series i highly reccomend girls band cry.
I wish he would've made a weekly review like with Jellyfish
