Heather this is a beautiful example of doing a LOT with a little - it’s all about freeing the imagination and learning to play with color and texture. I KNEW that was crackle paste! This is a gorgeous piece and the application of the Joggles O’Keefe stencil was a beautiful touch with the spray. Then that gold. Wowzers 🤩🤩🤩 You should be proud of that one - you’d never know that was a a Dollar Tree substrate! ❤❤❤
Oh yes, Heather. I did indeed enjoy watching you create this art piece. I do some Mixed Media Art myself so anything in that area is always interesting to see what other artists do. I loved how your Kroma crackle turned out. I think it's one of the few crackles that can develop those different shapes at the edges. And like you, Nickel Azo Gold is one of my top favourite colours - along with trans Red Iron Oxide. But the turquoises are also go to colours for me. The Georgia O'Keef stencil design is intriguing, and I love what Elizabeth St Hillaire does. Well... what's not to like? You've created a lovely thing there.
What a beautiful project. Always love seeing where your imagination takes your art. Love those stencils. They could be used in so many different projects. Thanks so much for all your hints and tips.
Thank you! I LOVE mixed media videos. I also have a LOT of stencils and appreciate learning how to use them creatively in mixed media projects, making it into my own art! Very cool! More, please!
I’m sorry I missed the live was on the phone. Mixed media is my first love even before I knew it was a thing. Janese and I are fans of mixed media lol this is gorgeous and you’re killing my budget.
I find your process so interesting. Love that you began with a DT piece, my favorite 😊 The colors are beautiful and the added shimmering really brought the picture to life! Thank you for sharing ❤
You did a beautiful transformation! I loved watching you! When you went to highlight the flower with the gold interference, it surprised me and it turned out gorgeous ! Yes, I really like this “mixed media” and would love to see more 😊
I looove mixed media… Using just about anything to create is my way of creating. I love the crackle paste medium you have, the stencil & indoor spray paint. I’ve stopped using spray paints due to atmospheric harm. Always looking for options…
Really beautifully done! I love how you used different products together; I don't do much mixed media. I checked out the stencils too and wowzers really had to restrain myself not to order a bunch (I did order a few).😉
Hello Heather…..That’s a very nice idea of using the stencil which turned out so good! I absolutely love what you do. Coming out with so many new products and applications made me get deep into some mixed media painting. Thank you so much for that ! However, some of the products are hard to find in my country. If I do, then it is so so expensive. The introduction of Tanya Mundt is the highlight of all other style of paintings. My humble request to you is to make more of her style (glue gun)from scratch especially filling in the birds, animals, leaves etc. Was wondering if fluid paints are used to colour them or acrylic inks are what gives those gorgeous effects .
Happy to say, I just found your UA-cam website. Yes I love the mixed media and your good, clear Explanations of the mediums you use. Can’t wait to try that crackle gel. I am a new subscriber now and I’m thankful for your effort.❤
Yes I have, and they are totally different. This Krackle medium makes a different “shape” of crackle.. you have to see the two side by side to know what I mean.
@@HeatherMaderArt Thank you! I've also done some investigating on my own and have found a couple more differences. One is that you can use heat with Kroma crackle (to dry it) and that is not recommended for Golden's crackle. Also that it works on flexible surfaces (which is cool!) and Golden's crackle is recommended for hard surfaces only. I am happy to learn about this new medium!! 🙂
I'm sorry " couldn't hear what u call that tube u were useing ?? Your volume is pretty low on your video !!, so what did u call that tube u were useing & where can I buy that ??🤔😂😎😃😙😐

You've created a lovely thing there.
I haven't found another crackle that makes those shapes on the edges either.... !! :) I'mhappy you noticed that too.
@@HeatherMaderArt it's why I originally bought Kroma Crackle. I saw Michael De Meng showing it.
It's my favourite crackle for that very reason.
I just got the set of Elisabeth stencils. I use them for gel prints but now I have another option. Thank you!
My mixed media heart is very happy to learn and grow watching you !! More Sweet Heather!!…please….❤
This is soooo cool Heather!!

Yes I love all your demos
thank you Miss Linda!
Thank you for making this- I enjoyed the wet on wet work and the courage it takes to spray paint over the main areas of the piece.
Hi Heather! Q for you - how would you finish the back? Paint it white and wire it for hanging?
yes - paint it and then wire for hanging. :)
Love it.Your mixed art it's so interesting & beautiful. I enjoy it very much👏🏻👏🏻

Hi Heather, also wondering if you've tried Golden's crackle paste? I was curious how you would compare the two.
Yes I have, and they are totally different. This Krackle medium makes a different “shape” of crackle.. you have to see the two side by side to know what I mean.
@@HeatherMaderArt Thank you! I've also done some investigating on my own and have found a couple more differences. @@vonaldautterback8831 this makes sense because the Kroma crackle dries more like a "rubber" and GOLDENS is hard and crusty. lol
I could not find that stencil on the website
Did you click the actual link I sent? It’s not only at the end of the video but also in the description box.
Yes😮

A lovely art piece. The repetitive " music " wore an annoying groove in my brain.
Thats funny - because I used 4 different songs in a 15 minute video... lol
11 millimeters - not 11 centimeters, lol!
Eleven centimeters is 110 millimeters. Crucial. Just trying to help!
What a great idea Heather! Really beautiful 😍❤️
Thank you!
