Legendary. Grew up watching alstott, had his jersey and wore #40 because of him. But on another hand this broke my heart. He’s only 48 man he sounds 78. Hope his quality of life isn’t impacted too much from being a fucking warrior

Alstott is the reason I played full back for 7 years I loved watching him play he is the man the myth the fucking legend thank you boys for doining this interview
It’s sad 😢 seeing him like this having hard time formulating a sentence … cognitive abilities diminished like he punch 🥊 drunk . It’s sad cause at one time he was one of best I ever saw .

Mike Alstott is one of my favorite players ever, ever, but it's kind of sad how he sounds like a punch drunk boxer. I guess being a fullback in the 90's was more brutal than we all thought

Ran into him in a local bar a couple months ago. I was thinking the same thing, although he was about 10 white claws deep so I just figured he was hammered. Super nice guy tho, had plenty of time to chat with a lifelong Bucs fan.
Great video boys! Alstott was my favourite player growing up as a young buccaneers fan and made me want to play fullback and go to Purdue just like he did. Never fulfilled the Purdue part but he's always been a legend in my books.. ive been looking forward to this video since the mcafee show, Keep up the great content
great podcast but definitely sad to see one of my all time favorite players "punch drunk" and slurring his words like that after all the punishment he took in his career. Alstott is the fckn man though
It's weird though, he definitely wasn't like this in the PMT interview which he did less than two years ago. I'm not sure if he didn't like the boys, the setting or was actually hungover or what was up here. He was completely different on PMT with lorenzo neal and was joking around.
Mike you're the reason I'm a bucs fan. The freaking GOAT 🐐 Thank you for everything ATrain. There never was another fullback like you! I appreciate all the sacrifices you made! It surely doesn't go unnoticed!
Nah , I’m good on a game making someone kill themselves like Junior Seau. Having to hear #40 sound like this for my entertainment as a kid I’ll pass on it forever now.
Loved Mikes game bk in the day. I'm glad that West Coast offense coaches like Andy Reid, John Gruden & Kyle Shanahan still use fullbacks in their game plan. #ChiefsKingdom
I literally reached for my phone to comment when he said mike and Kyle were the most iconic FBs ever before I opened UA-cam mike says Lorenzo Neal the exact reason why I had to comment haha
Damn boys I can’t stop my watching my guy lewan being a dude that can make anybody comfortable, just continue to know that #40 was messed up either it be some illegal substances or drunk, or CTE coming on it’s scary and I wish the best for him… you boys are great guys to just continue on and adapt to the situation most respect for real because you gentlemen still made it awesome! Thank u for your sacrifice mike A-train! Best of luck brothers
My best friends son asked to meet Mike for make a wish. Mike met them in the parking lot and gave him the best day of his life. My friend told me that he noticed he would start a sentence and forgot what he was saying. That man took more shots to the head than anyone in those days
Found this really difficult to watch. Love Alstott, but he was struggling putting sentences together, and I don't think it had to do with him packing a lip
It’s always wild to me how players can talk about how fucked up TBI and playing through injuries is, and then immediately talk about how soft everything has gotten, without connecting the dots between. Like it’s taboo to say they’re related..
Love the show so much went on all platforms and followed.. yw and Ty cuz pod is fire one of my favs .. mike was such a beast when he played and Tony won that super bowl
LFG the bruiser Mike Alstott! This dude is a Effin legend! He made it fun to watch fullbacks in the early 2000’s.
The boys were flustered for this one 🤣.. can tell there’s a hell of a lotta respect for alstott on the bus

My all time favorite NFL player. This man used to push a station wagon for his workout in high school. Can’t wait for this one!
Praying for him. Hyperbaric chamber. Can help with the symptoms I heard. I wish there was treatment for these guys. God bless.
