@@tomturek9682 def lack of respect for FB's(especially 80's-present) but Bettis does not belong in this discussion. He was a RB who, @ time of retirement, was 5th all-time w/13,662 rush yards & tied for 8th w/91 rush TD
Coaches/players/press/etc stress the importance of special teams year in & year out. Guys like Steve Tasker/Matt Slater/Devin Hester are heaped w/praise, pro bowl/all pro nods & million$. Only to be completely shunned & forgotten almost instantly upon retirement. Especially when it comes to the HOF. There are "contributors" such as "Team Administrators" & "Technical Advisors" in the Hall but not the ON FIELD greats who make up a 3rd of the game!?!🤦🏼♂️ Now, does that make any GD sense?
Mike Alstott aka the A-Train is one of my favorite players of all time. Had the luxury of being at that game in 1998 when the Bucs beat the undefeated Vikings for their only loss that year in regular season. Had season tix that year.
Growing up in the 90's and 2000's being a hardcore football fan this has to be one of my favorite interviews of all time. These guys are legends and underappreciated.
Hey, @Pardon My Take, I just discovered your channel and I love the content you produce. Thank you so much for featuring Bucs, especially stellar role-players like Alstott and Neal (granted, I know Neal was a one-season player for us, but still). It's refreshing to see my team actually get some love and coverage (although I know there's not been much to cover or love about the Bucs the past two decades, haha).
My family is fortunate enough to be friends with Lorenzo's wife, Denisha. She's a kind and charitable woman. Lorenzo has a great clean family with awesome kids.
I met Mike twice and both were definitely not as great as I wished it would be. Mike was hurt when I got his signature at one of the Bucs games and soon after he retired. We then played his team and won here near Tampa and everyone was so happy to shake this man's hand and he was disappointed with his teams play and it was so upsetting to shake a pissed off Mike Alstott after he loses. Maybe third time is the charm.
the Rhino package. When I was on my last deployment to Iraq killing ISIS that was my section's morale patch for a reason. It's still on my rucksack haha
Larry Czonka was a FB and so was Bronko Nagurski, but those were different days. FBs were featured backs before the 80s. Nowadays they're primarily blockers. Kyle Juszczyk is the prototype of a modern day FB. THAT'S the kind of FB that needs recognition for the Hall of Fame. Tom Rathman type. John L. Williams. Great blockers and yet still a threat to catch and run. Definitely need a fullback wing in the Hall.
Bro… Imagine these 2 staying on The Bucs together with Warrick behind them for a decade But even better is Mike on Lo’s Hip for a decade and Warrick is the change of pace EEWWW WEEEE
Unfortunately there's no status to quantify a great fb. Whi h is why theyre not in the HOF. Same for guards and centers. I believe there's got to be some kind of stat measure to do it. I mean they got analytics for just about everything now. I'd like to see alstott, Neal, and Rathman get in before a questionable Wideout or borderline qb.
Alstott, Neal, Moose Johnston, Rathman, Gash....guys who were among the best to ever do it but unfortunately won't get in the Hall because everyone wants to just look at stats.
Sad to see how quickly Mike has deteriorated between this and his most recent interview. I hoped my favourite player would escape CTE but it’s hitting him very hard.
PUT THESE LOWMAN LEGENDS IN THE HALL OF FAME!!!
Pardon My Take the fullback is coming back. Brady ross got this boys
Exactly. Bettis in hall of fame based on a knickname.Alstott way better than Bettis
"ALSTOTT UP THE GUT!"
Miss that brand of football

The thought of Mike Alstott screaming at high school me during practice gives me chills
Daniel Nail lower your estrogen levels
Kanye Zest oh shut up you fucking hardo, how much football did you play? Either never or washed out D3
Vince McMahon don’t cry big guy
Lorenzo Neal needs to be an analyst on TV! He’s such a smart and personable dude. I’d love him in a booth on Sunday (Or Monday 🤔)
He's on bay area sports radio!
He’s on 95.7 the game in the bay
This is facts
Lorenzo Neal seems like a really cool dude. Mike seems like he’s all business
Naptown Nole Mike is my dad if my dad didn’t have diabetes and a gut lol
my dads an ex marine and reminds me a ton of Mike
Mikes got more CTE than Neal
You see that boy run? Yeah, all business.
Lo Neal is a morning radio guy on 95.7 The Game here in the Bay Area, so he's also more naturally gregarious.
Mike's Ego is 1200% football. Don't question it or you'll get your head ripped off.
Lorenzo is a mature, well rounded human.

Oh my god man I love the fact that Lorenzo Neal still wears chargers gear man the man is a legend and a big reason LaDainian was so good
We need someone like that now or natrone means ....we need smash mouth football 🏈..

I absolutely love how serious Lorenzo gets when talking about pigs
Pigs are the ultimate low man. 2 foot tall, 250+ pounds.
Gotta love the fullback
Gotta respect fullbacks
Best one yet guys great interview. Mike was one of my faves growing up.
Lo Neal is by far the most down to earth football pro I ever met.
Definitely an AWL, he was playing ball from the start
Love listening to him daily. He's in sports radio for the bay area
@@hellomralex 95.7 the game 6-10am

Lorenzo Neal was one of my favorites when he was on the Chargers. Him and LT were so fun when i was a kid
I am a simple man. I see Mike Alstott in the title, I CLICK
FULL BACK ASSITS. LOVE IT. THE WAY LORENZO LIT UP, AWESOME.
Awesome interview guys, thanks.
I was looking for this interview the other day, glad u guys reposted it! LO is the man
DBs don't know how good they have it without these 2 out for blood every Sunday.

The season with Neal on the Bucs made artwork of running the ball.
Probably the best interview I’ve seen you guys do. These guys were great
31:42 😂😂😂😂 Lo is the man, but that was too funny. Glad he took it well
My family is fortunate enough to be friends with Lorenzo's wife, Denisha. She's a kind and charitable woman. Lorenzo has a great clean family with awesome kids.
I've never heard a family called clean or dirty before. What does that mean?
every position deserves a player in the HOF
CJ Ham does a lot of the old school dirty work. Hammering LB’s.
As a Packer fan I have nothing but respect for CJ’s game. Guy’s a throwback ass kicker.
There comes a time, when you need a certain call, when the down is 3rd and one... Fullbacks for the Hall
Got to watch A-train love when he ran the ball it was impressive.

Mike looks like he is wearing his neck roll during the interview lol
🤣 I'm late but I was just thinkin that. Mike could line up in the backfield dressed just how he is in this interview and still do some damage.
This is their best interview. I love it!
That Superbowl broke my heart. It was 48-21....still it's RN4L
Not mine! Love them Bucs!!
the Rhino package. When I was on my last deployment to Iraq killing ISIS that was my section's morale patch for a reason. It's still on my rucksack haha
Alstott!!!!
Fun fact: Lorenzo Neal was an amazing high school wrestler.
What a surprise
Least surprising fact ever
State champion and still holds the record for fastest pin in California state history
The A-train my hero as a kid
Mike and Neal need a podcast lol
Fullbacks are awesome.

Mike was that beast
I fucking love fullbacks still to this day
I wanna meet them both. I forgot Lo played with the Bucs.
You know who would be complimentary for this interview? KEYSHAWN
I actually like the fullback assist stat. That's a pretty good idea 💡
MAKE FULLBACKS GREAT AGAIN
PFT (nutting himself) : wait?! AFTER leg day youd push your jeep?!
A-train: ....uh yeah?
FB Dive + Mike Alsott + less than 2 yards = Automatic touchdown/firstdown in Madden 02 and 03 🚜
Lorenzo Neal is so down to earth he makes Alstott look like a douche lmaoo
Sort of ironic…. the best running full back and the best blocking full back of their time join together. 2 Legends
Imagine changing your playbook because of the personal you have, crazy thought! My coach could take some pointers
Loneal is a Bay Area sports talk legend at this point lol
That Rhino package was no joke.
Cam Banks for Heisman
Bro… Imagine these 2 staying on The Bucs together with Warrick behind them for a decade
But even better is Mike on Lo’s Hip for a decade and Warrick is the change of pace
EEWWW WEEEE
did Lorenzo Neal ask if he was doing the "five-finger knuckle shuffle" at 16:04?
Fuck yeah dope interview
I love the TUX
Grittiest position of em all

Mike Alstott ran me over watching this
31:44
Mike is CEO of "ya know what I mean"
The core was Alstott Sapp brooks lynch period I can’t believe mike said that
I love seein these dudes just talk shit 🤣
Alstott, Neal, Moose Johnston, Rathman, Gash....guys who were among the best to ever do it but unfortunately won't get in the Hall because everyone wants to just look at stats.

This interview reminds me of Flight of the navigator .
@33:09 wtf was that noise lmfao
Damn I was a perfect full back in high school
Have they ever had a very, very, VERY special guest?
Should have been in the HoF before the 2nd LT and Terrell Davis
Bring back the cowboy collar baby
if Tom Adamo doesn’t make the hall i’ll be pissed
Hands like Roberto duran 😂😂
Lorenzo: Hey guys lets have some fun
Mike: Hey guys lets fuck these guys up
Seahawks and Chris Carson come down hill at times. Great interview.
Mike needs to make a fitness workout
We go light, 225... Nothing too heavy.. Hahahah!
mike looks like he could be Blake Koepka’s older brother
Mack Strong please.
Bro, Mikes arms are fucking massive
Alec Ingold bruh mad underrated
On Wisconsin, we need to make it Fullback U, got Ingold and Derek Watt already
You guys forgot Mack Strong.
Why is PFT whispering
They look like they could lead block still
Don't forget Ryan Kerrigan for Purdue
Mike should of played more of the main running back roll.
this lopsided setup makes PFT look smaller than ever
Mike looks like he should sound like Ron White
Missing T rich! Tony Richardson
"Do you know what I mean?"
“He’d come in wearing a super hero outfit and a speedo ....... That’s Why I Love Dick, Just to get guys goin” 😂😂😂😂😂 Wow
Imagine being a linebacker and looking in the backfield on the goal line. And you see Lorenzo Neal BLOCKING FOR MIKE FUCKING ALSTOTT
Watching it was a thing of beauty.
Rhino package
31:44 😂😂😂😂
Alstott madden 03 broke all the tackles
god damn these dudes built like cubes lol
52 50
great show, BUT Mike has CTE NO DOUBT............... so sad, he slurs every word.

Man these guys are both still built like a fridge.
