He was so obsessed with being historically famous, yet what he was remembered for was being a horrible human being who had many wives in his pursuit for a male heir, executing two of his wives. One of them no older than a child. If he only knew that his DAUGHTER from this woman(Anne Boelyn) he executed would far surpass him in everything and be known as one of the best monarchs in history lol

Historians agree that it was Henry’s fault he could never have any healthy heirs. He had syphilis. 2 out of the 3 legitimate children he had lived into adulthood and only 1 lived until she was into her senior years. His long awaited son died young after only a few years on the throne, his first child was chronically ill and had an array of mental issues thanks to the “treatments” she had to be subjected to. His second child lived into old age but was also unable to have a child. His last wife was able to have healthy children with her next husband so we know she wasn’t the problem, but of course this was the era where people always blamed the woman 🤷‍♀️

That's kind of oversimplified. Henry was more than capable of having children, Catherine of Aragon had as many as 7 stillbirths/miscarriages, and did bear a living son but he died after just a few months; they were just chronically unlucky, their child mortality rate was unusually high for the time.
Henry and Anne were only married for 3 years and she had 4 pregnancies in that time, Elizabeth, then 2 miscarriages and a stillbirth. Its speculated that she had Kells syndrome, the first child is healthy but she wouldn't ever be able to bear another to term successfully.
Jane died tragically, and he never actually consummated his marriage with Anne of Cleves. He was married to Catherine Howard for just a year and he was very overweight and unhealthy then so conceiving at that point was probably pretty unlikely anyways. And when it comes to Catherine Parr, she had been married twice before and hadn't had children, she thought herself barren, neither of them really expected to have a child anyways at that point.
I think you're confusing Mary with Juana of Castille, Catherine of Aragon's older sister. She was tortured by her mother Isabella for her apparent lack of faith and was widely believed to be mad, Mary never appeared to have had any health problems until her 40s. And Elizabeth wasn't infertile, she just never married, she was probably entirely capable of having children.

None of his wives had children before marrying him. Only one wife had a child after him and that’s his final wife who bore a child after he died, with Jane Seymour’s brother. Only two of his wives outlived him, Anne of Cleves and Catherine Parr. Anne never remarried, she had no children. Catherine Parr thought herself barren after producing no children with her first two husbands. She died after giving birth to a daughter who likely died around the age of 2.

@@matthewhart9610exactly. And many historians think Catherine Parr was more of a nurse maid than a sexual partner at that stage in his life given he was overweight, bed bound a lot of time and had chronic pustules all over his legs that apparently smelled so they bad they stunk up the room and made it hard for him to be very active. He put a lot of trust in Catherine Parr to make decisions in his absence but it’s unlikely according to historians that they were very sexually active to conceive a child.

The outcome would likely be the same for her though even if he did walk away from Jane for a time. I wonder though if Anne could have been spared death and sent to a Nunnery or live her life in the tower instead; Henry could have had footing to have her declared unfit/traumatized or even physically unable to bare future children (be it a lie or not).

She being quite older than both brothers, some historians speculate the Spanish crown setting Author's rein to fail and it did when he died. Henry was much younger than Katherine who was old for that time period and barren. Henry really had no choice but to remarry to keep his country as there were no fertility clinics at the time. He was a womanizer but he loved Katherine and Ann Boleyn wasn't to blame for playing the hand that she was delt.

Yeah that was not how things worked then. Women couldn’t just say no and they especially couldn’t say no to a king.
Henry was going to have Anne either way and the two choices were- become a mistress and be unable to marry or move on as she’d lost her virtue, or hold out on sex until he agreed to marry her and she had the promise of stability and place at court.
She had to have known he had others though. Kings had many mistresses and concubines, queens weren’t allowed affairs as if a pregnancy occurred it would put doubt into the legitimacy of the heir. She would have known this all along so I doubt she was in anyway surprised or hurt that he slept with other women, more so she feared rightfully so, for what it meant for her place at court.
