Thin Lizzy gave us the twin guitar attack, Judas Priest brought it to the heavier scenes and now Lovebites stand as proud heiresses 🙂 I truly hope you will continue with this band. They have ballads, heavy rock, old-time metal as well as speed and thrash. You can find it all as long as you like guitars. Many reactors have issues with her vocals at first but tend to get used to it after a few songs, because it's 'wrong' but it still fits incredibly well. It's their sound.

LOVEBITES. They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans. They play ECLECTIC METAL. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM, heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, A&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal.

Two of the best guitarists in the world right there, and the best metal band in the world right now as well. Their style is power metal mainly, as with this song here, but they do thrash metal, speed, some things that might be deemed more progressive, power ballads. Maybe try another or two and maybe they and/or the style will grow on you more.. As it does, you'll come to appreciate it more. Might not be an every moment of the day listen kind of thing, but one you appreciate to the fullest when you're in the mood, and they sure are amazing to watch live. Thunder Vengeance the opener for this show from 2020, or Break the Wall, also from this show, would be two I'd recommend as great examples of thrash metal, and two of my favorites of theirs. Vocals are subjective. I am an old metal head and there are certain vocal styles that I can’t stand. Namely, screamo/growl ing/barking. I just can’t listen to it. I grew up in a time where all rock/metal singers sang clean. The best singers in these genres all sing clean. Power metal singers like Asami with Lovebites is more traditional power metal, along the lines of Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson. They are like wailing sirens. The music style really requires it. My favorite is the semi-operatic vocals like Geoff Tate or a killer mixed voice like the singer from SteelHeart.
I totally agree. I enjoy melodies and the beauty of the voice - not the cookie monster noises that sound like someone is dying. Geoff Tate is an awesome vocalist and I saw him perform in my tiny home town of 6000 population a few years ago. I love the power and strength and range of good vocals and Asami hits all those buttons for me.

On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".
LOVEBITES participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.

On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

On 17 August 2021, LOVEBITES took an extended break after the departure of their leader, bassist Miho.
The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 691,000 UA-cam subscribers.

Vocals are subjective. I am an old metal head and there are certain vocal styles that I can’t stand. Namely, screamo/growl ing/barking. I just can’t listen to it. I grew up in a time where all rock/metal singers sang clean. The best singers in these genres all sing clean.
Power metal singers like Asami with Lovebites is more traditional power metal, along the lines of Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson. They are like wailing sirens. The music style really requires it.
My favorite is the semi-operatic vocals like Geoff Tate or a killer mixed voice like the singer from SteelHeart.
I totally agree. I enjoy melodies and the beauty of the voice - not the cookie monster noises that sound like someone is dying. Geoff Tate is an awesome vocalist and I saw him perform in my tiny home town of 6000 population a few years ago. I love the power and strength and range of good vocals and Asami hits all those buttons for me.
