Hi Sina, Weekly appointment with your drum cover is warming like 5 o'clock hot tea. Few minutes before I watched a video in which Faso ( Elio e le storie tese' s funny bass player) teaches how to clap hands correctly on a rock song, on 2nd and 4th fourth, in sync with the snare drum. He told that doing it on 1st and 3rd one often kills the groove. I tried doing it on your Kiss cover and I must admit that it works. Thank you and have a nice weekend.
Sina, your drumming is great as always, but the highlight for me today is your drumming with Mikalyn in her new song Circles, which she released today. The song is great and together with your drumming it is fantastic.
This was the first big concert i saw at age 13 in 1982. "I Love it Loud" was best tune on this long awaited album. Ace and Peter had just left the band. It was Vinnie Vincent on guitar and Eric Carr on drums. Eric's drums were a tank turret with a huge cannon in front that rotated and fired loud explosions. Gene and Paul stood on giant tank treads to each side of the drums. It was louder than hell and I lost some hearing at that show. I never went to another one without earplugs. The band The Plasmatics were the opener with Wendy O'Williams smashing a tv with a sledge hammer and chain sawed a Les Paul in half.
One wonders - Did KISS follow the KISS Principle (Keep It Simple Stupid)? :D THE SONG - "I Love It Loud", by the American rock band Kiss, was written by bassist and lead vocalist (at the time) Gene Simmons and lead guitarist Vinnie Vincent. It is track #6 on the band's 10th studio album 'Creatures of the Night'. All tracks were recorded between July and Sept 1982 at The Record Plant in LA. The album was released on Oct 10, 1982 and "I Love It Loud", the first single from the album, was released three days later. The early 80s were not a particularly good time for the band. Although, with a career spanning some 45 years, Kiss is one of the best-selling bands of all time, they went through quite a few rough patches. "I Love It Loud" failed to chart on Billboard's Hot 100. It peaked below chart level at #102 on Feb 5, 1983 and stayed in that area through most of Feb. By the end of March, it had dropped from sight. 'Creatures of the Night' did modestly well peaking at #45 on Jan 29, 1983 on the Billboard 200. Kiss was formed by Paul Stanley (rhythm guitar, vocals), Gene Simmons (bass, vocals), Ace Frehley (lead guitar, vocals) and Peter Criss (drums, vocals) in Jan 1973. Adopting a kitschy approach, they used greasepaint make-up and costumes to assume the personae of cartoon-like characters - the Starchild, the Demon, the Spaceman, and the Catman. They were not the only band to do this. Guitarist Zal Cleminson appeared in clown / mime costume, at around the same time, with The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Eventually Kiss dropped the make-up starting with an MTV appearance on Sept 18, 1983. Stanley contributed the name and Frehley the logo. He made the "SS" like lightning bolts. This became controversial because of the similarity to the Nazi SS symbol which is illegal in Germany. Both Simmons and Stanley are Jewish and denied any intentional likeness. To avoid problems, an alternate logo was used in Israel, Germany and several other European countries. Initially Kiss became popular through their live shows. Their first two albums tanked and both the group and their label, Casablanca Records, were on the verge of bankruptcy. Their third album didn't do much better but did provide "Rock and Roll All Nite" which became their signature song. What saved them was the double live album "Alive!" in Sept 1975. Although their fortunes increased, there were hard times for the band. Drummer Peter Criss was injured in a car crash in 1978 and eventually left the band in 1980. He was replaced by Eric Carr. Ace Frehley left the band in late 1982. Although he appeared on the cover of 'Creatures of the Night', and was seen in the music video for "I Love It Loud", he played no part in the recording. He had been replaced by Vinnie Vincent. Although they are often called a metal band, through the years they have gone through a number of genres including a disco tinged period that produced one of their top selling songs, "I Was Made for Loving You", which reached #11 in 1979. Sina made a drum cover of "I Was Made for Loving You" on Jan 20, 2017. You can check that out at ua-cam.com/video/P1Beb5nyRrg/v-deo.html THE ICON - Felina is back in the box until next Halloween (hopefully). Niki is back in charge and is getting her gloves on.
Where do you find all this background info for each track Miss Sina Covers? You two are the Kasey Kasem of Sina-Drums. Facts that give us the story behind a song!!
Yeahh, and Peter Criss played drums on "Unmasked" (1980) and then he had left the band. He didn't like the diso sound. 😂 1980 was the time that KISS played without make-up first but not always. The next LP was "The Elder" (1981) with new Drummer Eric Carr (The Fox). I saw Eric live in Germany on KISS concert. 😉 1978 everybody from the band (Gene, Paul, Peter and Ace) bring out a solo Album. All four Album I like. 😉 EDIT: Oha, Yeah thanks Chris Stargazer. Criss played not more on "Unmasked". Anton Fig played. But in April to Juni or so Chris left the Band. Because he could not play on this LP and he had problems with drugs and so on. But Chris told later he had hate the Disco Sound. It was the age where Disco got a new music way. KISS must mixed Hard-Rock-sound with Disco Sound. Producer and Manager wanted it. "I Was Made For Lovin' You" (Dinasty 1979) was a great hit in Charts. ( I own the red vinyl version 😊 ) And it was the age where more and more Metal break Hard-Rock. But the mix of Disco and Hard-Rock was not the right way and so any LPs later KISS played mix from Hard-Rock and Metal. Sorry my english, I'm from Germany.
Good comments, J & R. I didn't know about the issue with the logo, but looking at it now it's pretty obvious. ... It was hard for me to take Kiss seriously back in the day. I was always more interested in music rather than the show, and Kiss always seemed to be all show and gimmicks. I haven't changed my mind, but I can enjoy Sina's covers anyway.
@Sina - our pleasure, as always! @Greg Yancoskie - Rosanna does most of the research. She scours the depths of the internet to collect info. The most difficult thing for me is deciding what to leave out. @Volker Fitzner - actually the drums on "Unmasked" were played by session drummer Anton Fig. He was not credited on the album though. Stanley and Simmons didn't want it to be assumed that Fig was a member. Regarding the make-up, the band first officially performed without make-up on September 18, 1983. They started to appear in make-up again at the 38th Grammy Awards. None of the solo albums, released Sept 18, 1978, sold very well despite heavy publicity and were mostly sold as "cut-outs" in bargain bins.
Outstanding as always Sina I like the 80’s sound the reverb on the drums as In The Air Tonight it give the drums such a nice full sound. I have checked out Mikalyn an excellent original song and it’s so nice you worked with her again I’m sure your help with the drums was greatly appreciated.
I've seen kids a long time ago and that was the best concert I ever been to . I don't know if it was the lights, all the people there but he was sweating big time. Also he moved around alot more, but you yust sat there and it sounded very close. What has changed to music since 1980 to make it the same but Easter to play.
I absolutely love this!!!!!! I love what you guys are doing, branching out with the music as well. The universal attraction of music is such a powerful fuse. It really can connect individuals who would usually believe they have nothing in common. It can form a life long bond, friendships, buisness etc. Music has connected people who would go on to spend their lives together. Again I just love what you're doing!!!!!!! My 7 yeah old daughter loves kiss 🤘 proud dad 😁 we both love this! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ahhhhh....now, THAT's a drummer's song! Beautiful Sina. Thank you!! And yes - time for that to come back. Completely agree!!
Ah, I love you Sina, I adore you. You are quite worthy, if I can express myself with my heart to represent this great group that rocked my youth and my oldest age. I am very touched, because Kiss will say goodbye to France, in Paris in June. I will not be able to see them because it is very far from home and it is a Tuesday day of the week. I know almost all the songs of this band or almost. I discovered them in a magazine, I had to be 14, I'm 57 now.
Thank you very much Sina for your huge tallent and your very good drums on this title as I know very well. I'm really a fan of Paul Stanley who is an outstanding guitarist and singer, an incredible talent. It goes for the whole group too.
Thank you beautiful Sina and another huge Bravo.
Rico :))
A forgotten favorite song by Kiss. Thanks for bringing back the memories. *LOVE the Ending!*
"Beauty and the Beat" This girl rocks! Enjoy the day. Ray L
It’s wonderful how you can also imitate the big and heavy drumming style of Eric Carr’s. Big gestures :) How did you get the drum sound right, too? Nice job, Sina!💪
Wow Sina Kiss is my favorite band! I love this cover and your version of I Was Made For Loving You too. You rock!
keep coming back to this cover. she does a fantastic job. wish i had as much talent in my entire body that she does in her middle finger. lol. she really drives those drums.
Sina! Großartig! Der Klang der Trommeln ist großartig! VIELEN DANK!!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏
I waited for your video all morning like every Friday thanks sina for giving good music to my ears
Nailed it as usual Sina. Heavy sounding. You are spot on every cover!
Saw Eric live in Stockholm, Sweden 1985. He made his mark for sure. One of the best!
my favorite Kiss's song, I love Eric Carr and I love this performance, you're so great Sina
Awesome Sina.....Love watching all your videos....
I love how Sina strips her drum kit to exactly what she needs for the gig. No posing here, just talent 🧡🎉
Ooooch, da hörst du einfach auf zu drummen....war sooo schön....hätte das noch ´ne halbe Stunde weiterhören können...also nur du und die Drums....war cool, danke dir.
This is really great Sina! I really appreciate you playing this music for us and I tell you on every video because I really appreciate it.
WOW, SPEED DRUMSTICKS ARE FLASHING AND YOU DIDN"T MESS IT UP! PERFECT A+
@Jim Haney I agree, blazing lights quick!
So I didn't mean that and never messes it up!
Thank you Miss Sina for another trip into the 80's reverb scene. You make everything you play better than the original song! Big thumbs up!!
One of my favourite songs of al time. Tremendous job and I absolutely loved the fact that you didn't lower the volume of your drums when the song did the initial fade-out. LOVE this.
With the rhythm of the music, every drum knocks right to the beat 🥁👍
Another big smile on my face.Thank you Sina!
KISS has some good songs and you nailed it Sina, great job.
I've always loved this drum line. Simple but effective and fun to play
I've watched a lot of drummers online and really very few can touch your talent skill and creativity I love watching what you do I never thought Peter Criss was much of a drummer I hope that doesn't offend you you bring new life to old songs you are awesome I just love you Sina
I've been wanting to tell you this to there's a girl online plays drums in her bra underwear and high heels if that doesn't show how little talent she has I don't know what does that's really sad. you have a lot of class and Talent skill and a real gift you're really great
Eric Carr was the drummer at this time
@@brentwhitten7012 well I don't have anything bad to say about him but I still don't think much of Peter Criss as a drummer but thanks for the info I was wrong
Have you watched _No Sir (I Won't Play In My Underwear)_ ua-cam.com/video/z4G1CWam2go/v-deo.html

Yet another great song choice executed flawlessly. Great job, Sina!
Hi Sina,
Weekly appointment with your drum cover is warming like 5 o'clock hot tea.
A great job there Sina covering my favorite band and one of their biggest hit songs.
THE SONG - "I Love It Loud", by the American rock band Kiss, was written by bassist and lead vocalist (at the time) Gene Simmons and lead guitarist Vinnie Vincent.
You can check that out at ua-cam.com/video/P1Beb5nyRrg/v-deo.html
THE ICON - Felina is back in the box until next Halloween (hopefully). Niki is back in charge and is getting her gloves on.
Thanks again for all your research, Rosanna and Juliet!!
1978 everybody from the band (Gene, Paul, Peter and Ace) bring out a solo Album. All four Album I like. 😉
EDIT: Oha, Yeah thanks Chris Stargazer.
Seen KISS back in the day!! Great Job Sina!!! Perfect!!!
Outstanding as always Sina I like the 80’s sound the reverb on the drums as In The Air Tonight it give the drums such a nice full sound. I have checked out Mikalyn an excellent original song and it’s so nice you worked with her again I’m sure your help with the drums was greatly appreciated.
Awesome Drumming as Always!!! Monster Drum Sound!!!
Yes! Perfectly played and Another perfect choice! Remember the live part in Brazil? 🙏🏼👌🏽👍🏼🤘🏽
Absolutely awesome, you got the groove just right and the toms sounded amazing.
Sina play it loud!!! Love it,👍😁😎
I love KISS & this song. I don't know how I missed this until now. Awesome!
I've seen kids a long time ago and that was the best concert I ever been to . I don't know if it was the lights, all the people there but he was sweating big time. Also he moved around alot more, but you yust sat there and it sounded very close. What has changed to music since 1980 to make it the same but Easter to play.
A performance above and beyond, a world renowned talent , definitely top shelf
I absolutely love this!!!!!! I love what you guys are doing, branching out with the music as well. The universal attraction of music is such a powerful fuse. It really can connect individuals who would usually believe they have nothing in common. It can form a life long bond, friendships, buisness etc. Music has connected people who would go on to spend their lives together. Again I just love what you're doing!!!!!!! All the best from The U.S. BROOKLYN!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
Excellent work as always Sina! Music to my ears. We all love you girlfriend, keep on rocking! ♥️
Nice!
Greetings from Brazil🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷, Sina!
You always rock the week end with amazing surprises. Love KISS, you nailed it👍😊👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Kiss is by far my all time favorite band. Seeing this was a real treat for me. I wouldn't mind seeing you perform Hard Luck Woman or Black Diamond. I have performed Hard Luck Woman myself a long time ago. Vocals and drums. Thank you so much for this.
Can't remember seeing a drummer on Y.T. who seems to enjoy what they're doing as much as Sina.
Wow!!!! And it just happens to be my birthday!!! Thanks for the gift ( of music, of course )
One day, if REAL music survives, Sina is going to be famous...
She is famous already!
