And yes , as a Clipper fan (albeit casual...I follow but don't emotionally invest in sports anymore), this is a tough issue to face and you could see it a mile away several years ago. Buying superstars instead of developing them is really risky. I would much rather try to scout and draft/acquire young talent and develop it than try to buy aging stars. At least if you fail on the first style, you can keep trying with reasonable success. The latter style is swinging for the fences and in turn you get immense pressure internally and externally. I'm hoping they let PG go and just wallow in mediocrity until they can find young talent. Kawhi is pretty awesome when he's not hurt. Passive P is pretty fake and inconsistent. Kawhi should have picked a better star or just let SGA develop...but hindsight is 20/20...PG talked a great game but we see the fraud now.

He's asking way to much money. We already have our stars. We have our vets. We want hungry young players that fit within salary restraints, while developing the talent we've drafted. Filling roster spots with these older big names on decline is the reason why a lot of these teams not performing to what their payroll suggests.
I know you did not say Dallas was an old team but when mentioning the West being good it was not mentioned that the Mavericks start 3 guys that are 25 and 1 that is 26. Off the bench they bring in a 20 and 23 year old in their playoff rotation. I know this is about the Clippers but I feel like the Mavericks are talked about like Luka is the only youngish player when this team is younger than teams like Philly and NY as well as Minnesota.
I remembered when Clippers got Kawhi and PG13, they were so cocky and said LA is their city now. After all those years, the Lakers actually accomplished better than the Clippers.
The Clippers are an astounding team. I don't think I've ever seen any organisation get more chances at "championship or bust" seasons. It's been half a decade of them, maybe we can just call a spade a spade.
Raptors were competitive for 2 years after kawhi left. I truly believe the raptors would’ve been the next warriors and won 2-3 chips if kawhi stayed. I’m from Toronto and no city will ever show an athlete the type of love they showed kawhi he could’ve been the king of Canada. He’s such an idiot for going to the clippers
Who did they have before Kawhi? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Who did they let go to have Kawhi? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having a superstar career with the Thunder.
If they stick with the preseason roster who knows how far they go. They should move Kawhi back to SF and find a 4. PG if he wants to stay move to the bench.
I would do it all over again if I was Balmer. Can’t blame him for spending so much money, trading so many players to get that championship. Hindsight is 20/20, but we did not know the injuries would be this bad.
As someone who’s picked the clips to win both this year 21 and 2020 it’s a shame tbh. 2020 was a choke even tho I think the roster was flawed. 2021 truly was the best chance till kawhi got hurt. Those two year were the peak of this team. This year looked like a resurgence then kawhi got hurt AGAIN. So yeah it’s sad. If it wasn’t for the new arena I’d say blow this shit up.
Trade everyone get a new young coach new GM and start over. Best clippers team I’ve ever seen was the year with SGA Gallo and company. If they resign all these guys it’s completely a waste of time

Trade PG anywhere. Dude was literally scared to try to finish at the rim vs. Dallas after his dunk attempt got viciously blocked midway through series. Made some smh-level turnovers in game 5.
I don’t understand why people act like losing PG is a big deal he’s a playoff choker he’s not a number 2 harden is the same thing. Kawhi is the only real star but just can’t stay healthy. Get him someone who actually wants to win because Paul George and harden aren’t it.
Never forget clippers Gave up sga & bunch of picks to do as much as they did when it was rookie Shai & bunch of good role players 😂😂😂 clippers will be remembered as either being injured or playoff folds .
Trade pg to Philly for picks and young players try to trade harden for picks and assets. We have to get younger wolves, nuggets, spurs, okc, and Jazz who have a lot of picks will be teams who are going to compete in the west for the next 5 yrs. Keep Kawhi or don’t but blow it up and start rebuilding
Well I can say that a planned attack might give them a chance next year. First a player that can play off the bounce can fix a lot. Move some of the weight. Harden can play off ball like he did in okc. Pg is just too inconsistent so dump him and get a roll player. Russell will play better with more playing time. Sit Leonard every other night and ready at playoff time. But getting a player that can dribble drive pass is the key.
Really? If they dump PG, they should dump Kawhi, Harden, and Russ, too. Why just him? They're all around the same age, and they're all nearing the end of their careers. The other three are really more to blame than him anyway.
I think they should just blow up the team, but they cant because they have invested too much, especially the new arena that the clippers will play in next season they are trapped.
Steve Ballmer is the richest owner in All of sports $120B.. the investment he has with the Clippers is just his Tax write offs.. He could blow this up and it wouldn’t hurt him at all!
Why clippers front office offer SGA instead of Jerome Robinson? If they would waited a day or two later Sam presti would accepted Robinson with all those draft picks. Everyone in the clippers front office need to be fire !

The Mavs have injuries, and OKC has gotten the break to heal from theirs. I don't think this will be a quick series, but it leans in OKC's favor with the key injury to Maxi.
So, they willingly blew a 3-1 lead in a playoff series because they allowed public opinion to sway their actions even though they had no control over the circumstances? Sorry. Not a valid defense. We as fans always criticize players for not showing effort on the court, so why should we give them that pass? That just makes them look worse.
Clippers are the definition of insanity at this point. The pieces are old and not getting any healthier. Harden and PG are chokers in the playoffs. They are thoroughly stuck though, but they should blow it up and go young and pull that bandaid off in one swift go. I admire them for giving it a go though, it was a great opportunity for them, but it is time to face the music and admit that it didn't work out... It happens. I don’t understand why people act like losing PG is a big deal he’s a playoff choker he’s not a number 2 harden is the same thing. Kawhi is the only real star but just can’t stay healthy. Get him someone who actually wants to win because Paul George and harden aren’t it.
I don’t know if this is the end for the Clippers after that Kawhi extension. It basically means 3 more years of the same old shit.
Classic Clips😂
James Hardennnnnnnnnn….you asked for this…..the Trade Merchant…..
Never forget clippers Gave up sga & bunch of picks to do as much as they did when it was rookie Shai & bunch of good role players 😂😂😂 clippers will be remembered as either being injured or playoff folds .
Donovan Mitchell is the next Paul George
Damn the West is stacked
Kawhi may want to go home to Toronto at this point. Probably still mad at his uncle for the bad advice!🤣🤡
I’m done with Paul George I give up on him fr I’m rockin with ant man
If I was pg I would go to the magic
Unfortunately they extended kahwi so they will likely try to run it back. It's over
Hot take clippers should let pg walk they need change it's clear the duo of kawhi & pg aren't a championship duo they just can't stay healthy
Time to move on from PG, Kawhi, Russell, and Harden… Too old
@@torrey2708 what happens if no one wants them. Just take the 200 million loss?
@@awethinic8379 oh someone will take them, it’s just a matter of what you can get back for them is the catch
Nobody on the clippers is worth max money.
Steve Balmer not going to allow Leonard and Harden into his new stadium next season 🤣
lmaoo harden is currently their best player. PG is terrible and Kawhi cant even stay on a court to save his life
Why clippers front office offer SGA instead of Jerome Robinson? If they would waited a day or two later Sam presti would accepted Robinson with all those draft picks. Everyone in the clippers front office need to be fire !
You cannot be serious presti wasn’t doing that without shai plus kawhi pressure the clips to do it because he wasn’t going to sign with them unless they got pg also okc had other offers outside of clips
@@Wrestle_Kingdompressure my ass. It would of been impossible. It takes two to tango. The only way it was possible because Paul George force his way out. If Paul George stay then they left with nothing. Kawhi either force with Shai or stay Toronto. Paul George still have two years contract left in OKC at the time.
In the end it is Paul George to prove he worth that much picks and trade.
@@stump4522 the situation at the time was when pg requested a trade and okc looking for teams the clippers wanted him but didn’t want to give up shai but okc wanted shai and kawhi wasn’t going to go with the clippers without pg so as a clippers owner who wants to compete you make that trade because nobody thought shai would be as good as he is now also you’re forgetting that kawhi also had the lakers as a option as well
Plus okc had other teams interested in them as well one of them being the raptors which included pg so kawhi could have stayed in Toronto the trade was for pg and kawhi not just pg, without pg their no kawhi and th clippers was not about to wait years until shai blossom because it took about 4 years until he became the player he is now
The clippers are full of known chokers harden,pg and Russ
I made my own prediction for this series, if you have a minute to watch I would really appreciate it
They need kawhi badly and a better center, someone more agile and quicker ino
Chargers , angels clippers should move to San Diego.
No one is more lazy than James Hardin.
Mavs are hot right now. Okc has sat for too long. Mavs in 5.
The Mavs have injuries, and OKC has gotten the break to heal from theirs. I don't think this will be a quick series, but it leans in OKC's favor with the key injury to Maxi.
The clippers will pay the luxury tax he will stay
They are just too old. Time to move on
I been telling y’all for years..whatever team has no defense harden and turnover machine westbrick ain’t going nowhere hahahaa
The clippers blew a 3-1 lead in the bubble because they heard the rumblings nobody would respect the chip so they gave up
So, they willingly blew a 3-1 lead in a playoff series because they allowed public opinion to sway their actions even though they had no control over the circumstances? Sorry. Not a valid defense. We as fans always criticize players for not showing effort on the court, so why should we give them that pass? That just makes them look worse.
@@urbaindelva7869 shhh it’s a joke, just imagine seeing Lou Will saying that
Clippers suck
Clippers are the definition of insanity at this point. The pieces are old and not getting any healthier. Harden and PG are chokers in the playoffs. They are thoroughly stuck though, but they should blow it up and go young and pull that bandaid off in one swift go. I admire them for giving it a go though, it was a great opportunity for them, but it is time to face the music and admit that it didn't work out... It happens. Even without their own picks they need young legs they can rely on.
Clips are cooked. They were always fraud. I called Mavs in 6. Hold that L.
Jesus Christ loves you
bros acting like kawhi was playing healthy the whole series like imagine jokic got injured this postseason would yall call the nuggets a failure? i dont get the clipper hate rn
Our year go Knicks brunson will be MVP of the finals
Luka adoption center is open.

Clippers suck. … Got it. 👍🏼
We smokin on that Clippers pack 💨💨💨

must feel good to celebrate the downfall of a team playing without their best player healthy for the entire series huh
@@Yandhilistener_66 it feels absolutely wonderful. F the Clippers to the world and back. And you can’t use injuries to guys like Kawhi as an excuse, he’s always injured when it counts. You knew what to expect when you decided to build teams around someone as fragile as him
@@Yandhilistener_66 maybe that’s why you don’t build your team around 3 35+ injury prone old men
@@user-ou4yi7vw9u kawhi is 32 and was the only player injured though so your point is sort of invalid
