I watched the reenactment film "90 mins in Entebbe" as a very young child. I remembered a loved soldier that was shot and great efforts were made to resuscitate him as far as in the military aircraft while flying back to Israel, but sadly he didn't make it. This part made the movie more emotional😢 Never knew he was Benjamin Netanyahu's blood brother. Probably, this was why the Israelis chose him to be their prime minister later on. I have just learned "SOMETHING NEW" today With this detailed UA-cam documentary you have just made me understand and appreciate MORE - the film actors & directors. Keep giving us these historical contents. Well narrated and top-notch voice-over. You are a genius at what you are doing 👍🏼 Keep the contents coming
I remember finding out that yoni was Netanyahu’s brother thinking I knew yoni’s story long before I learned about Benjamin 2 real hero’s I pray 🙏 for Benjamin as he tries to keep Israel 🇮🇱 safe
Yes, Israel 🇮🇱 did the remarkable thing when it pardoned Uganda of the the events of Entebbe. It was indeed emotional when the them Israeli Prime Minister spoke about his elder brother who was killed in the raid.
It was a callous and pointless killing of the elderly, frail Mrs Dora Block by Idi Amin. She was ill in a hospital bed and unable to be with those rescued.
Ohoo!!! It was very serious mission to accomplish ,thanks for giving us that history . Am looking forward to hear the history of Jonas Savimbi in Angola
There's a great TV movie called Victory at Entebbe starring Kirk Douglas, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Dreyfuss & Burt Lancaster. It. came out in 1976 not long after the incident.
The determination of Israel to survive as a Nation started many years ago. What is playing out today in Gaza, should not be surprising to anyone who realizes this fact. Israel is made up of very Intelligent & Brave people.
Good narration but it is erroneous for you to say that Entebbe Airport was built between 1971 and 1972. Entebbe Airport was built during the colonial days, before 1962.
You're correct, sir. It was commenced by the British Colonial administrators way back in the 50s and when they left, construction work continued. It can be rightly said that Entebbe has been constructed and expanded in phases by respective governments since Colonial times to date. We appreciate your great contribution.
A very nice film, with interesting facts, but a point to note: wasn't approval granted for this secret operation by the Israeli government when the commando team was already airborne, on its way to Entebbe?
@@jonathankaranja5857 Well, if you are referring to approval by the Government of Israel, there was approval even before the operation. It was a dangerous operation whose result could have also turned disastrous. So, every necessary approval needed to be obtained from the then Prime Minister of Israel and from the Israeli Parliament. At Entebbe, it was a covet operation and they obviously landed without approval.
@@backinhistory9 Alright, but I remember reading somewhere that the then Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was made aware that there was an elite commando force travelling to Entebbe when the team was already in the air enroute to Entebbe, Uganda. Therefore Israeli cabinet approval was sought while the rescue team was already on its way to Israel. (I however, could be wrong).
Well, you may not be too sure. This was a Well planned Invasion which took place at night and gave little or no room for any serious retaliation from the Ugandan forces. Everything was in place for the mission. Don't also forget that the Ugandan Army dis not fold their arms completely; they made some resistance and the process lost about 40 soldiers. Entebbe was just an exceptional raid in a class of its own.
Get your facts right. The Entebbe attack was scheduled to be in and out in 60 minutes and the last C-130 to leave was actually wheels-up at 59 minutes after waiting for the soldiers to destroy Idi Amin's Migs on the ground to prevent any chance of pursuit.
Uganda tried to kill about 200 Israelis, WITHOUT any reason.!! Where were you when this happened. They the Israelis have EVERY right to kill Ugandans who were in their way to RESCUE them. It is that SIMPLE.
🔵 Uganda mistake was to release any one on hostage during negotiation secondly killing Kenyans in revenge is really a bad thing and really not an good history May souls rest in peace ♥️
It's true that Israelites are God's people. Who can do that in 90min? Bravo ❤😂🎉👏👍🙏💯 right
The narration was excellently done with good oration, voice pitch and background sound.Kudos to the presenter, very professional. Thanks a ton
Am glad that my blessed country Kenya was involved in the success of the Israelis commandos mission

It wasn't an "invasion", but a raid. There was no intention of staying one minute longer than needed to evacuate the hostages.
It's very unfortunate that my beautiful country Uganda carried that curse for many years, thank God for the pardon we received as a country by Isreal

Excellently presented. The presenter is more than a historian
Invisible Isreal. Let Iran take note, that no country humilates Isreal. If God be with you who can be against you? Nobody.
The Invasion was a once in a lifetime Invasion.
List Israel can't do something wrong and you think God can't also punish Israel, secondly you can't compare Israel and Iran.

Is it a different movie from 'Raid on Entebbe'?
'Raid on Entebbe'? Was a better movie, with Charles Bronson & James Woods.
Wonderfully and accurately presented
Waoooo this is so well detailed thanks for the info
I swear I like the way narrated history .....I wish you can make a video for my country senegal 🇸🇳
I surely will. A trailer load of history from Senegal.
Great presentation

I love hearing you telling histories

The story of Amin was always sad
A brilliant rescue of innocent hostages
Brilliant and breathtaking. Every step of the operation was audacious.
May God forgive uganda🇺🇬🇮🇱
I read the book thrilling and scary ✈️
Please improve the sound quality.
My dad was among the airport guard s back then, the real story of Entebbe invasion is different from what am down playing
Well narrated

Benghazi is a city in Libya not the capital, Tripoli is the Capital

Woow
Wow...what a story
Once see a movie related to the story
Too much stupidity. Nobody in the world will leave a family behind.
Which one in particular, please. Are you referring to the lady that was left behind in the hospital and was later killed on the orders of Idi Amin?
They survived because Amin wasn't around he could have commanded
