You are doing GREAT. I was so pleased to see you got the Deburring and Reamer. That step makes a much better connection and spreads the glue in without scraping it off. I also liked the use of a white pen to pre-align the fittings, that helps when your new to gluing waste. As far as your ABS to PVC make sure to NOT glue. Use a stainless steel banded coupling. This video shows why Not to glue with the green glue. Channel name "Structure Tech Home Inspections" Video name (How to connect ABS to PVC) really clear short video. Nice knee pads too, got to protect yourself when crawling. Keep pushing forward your doing it.
That tool is EXPENSIVE, but it is totally worth it. I only wish i would have bought it earlier as it would have helped us with having more accurate dry fittings.
Sarah and Ryan the fact that you both get up each morning, have good attitudes and still do plumbing shows how awesome you both are!! It’s a real challenge to have face a job where you are in a restricted place on your knees for hours at a time! I admire your resilience. And you should be super proud of yourselves! And furthermore you video as well come on not all superheroes wear capes some wear beanies and knee pads!!! lol well done!! Again you knocked it out of the park! Bring on the next round! And happy birthdays to all those special peoples!! Big hugs!
Ya know, with all you've accomplished and challenges overcome, there's really no reason to be afraid of a little water (haha). Just figure out what your worst case scenario is if there's a leak or a blow out, be prepared to quickly turn off the main, and then you'll fix any problem like you always do :) And if you use all the fixtures daily and inspect before closing up with drywall, you'll detect even small leaks right away. I really would have been more nervous about electric than plumbing
I am a do it yourself person. I have always been like this. When you are all done and look back ,you can say we did all of this. Be proud of what you two can do.
When you guys are done with the inspection and move out of the crawl space, don't forget to insulate your crawl space with a 2-inch form board it will help in the long run
Thank you for the tip! You mean putting the foam board on the inside of the concrete wall, correct? We have extra foam board insulation left so now we can put it to use.
Reflectix is another amazing option. Attach it underneath the floor joists with staples. Stops drafts so your floors in the house stay completely warm.
It seems like you two have been working in that crawl space for the last YEAR lol. I can only imagine who much you both want to work in some daylight in your cabin. Both of you should know that so many of us out here are very proud of ALL the new things you have taken on and had no experience doing before, i.e. plumbing, electrical, etc. Well happy Birthday to you both. Great video and God IS Blessing you ALL.
Yes!! Spring really has arrived. It's so nice! And yes! It's so fun to see our kids working on their duck house build. They are actually boy/girl twins, but I know with my daughters short hair cut sometimes it is hard to tell. Last year, our son had super long hair and everyone thought they were two girls. Lol!
Hi you two Looks like you've made some huge progress on this part of the build. You're like several other people I know that go into a project doubting their ability to do it. Then they do it👍 Wishing you the best of success as you continue. Stay safe Love you guys
Awwww! Thank you so much Jim. I think sometimes we can doubt ourselves more than anyone else. We will be excited to say that we did the plumbing all by ourselves (when it's finished).
LOl. I don't think we will be starting a construction business anytime soon. If you're looking to buy land or house in the Hood Canal though, then I'm your guy!
It’s hard to say. We know will have an outbuilding later on for storage so we won’t need a basement for that. And every foot that you add to your foundation, makes the price go higher and higher. We built the foundation that we have the money to pay cash for.
@@OneFootOfftheGrid That darn money to comfort thing is a pain. Higher is always better but you did alright with your height. When I was younger, ages ago. The higher end housed we build always had 4-5 foot footer walls making working under them so nice. As I got older (and heavier) crawling under remodels running pipe got to be a pain. I only did plumbing for about 4-5 years but my best friend from school did it from out of school and I always followed and watched how he did things the right way. I did about 5 years of framing and rough work too. Really enjoying your work.
Your work is to be appauded. Keep it up. Reason #123 Kevin does not have a UA-cam channel: I know Sign Language and cuss like a sailor when working on a tough project. There are not enough quacks and pixelations to hide that ugliness.
Awww. The hug. At the end of the boys project..😊
Happy birthday to Ryan and the kids 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
WE LOVE YOUR CROSS ON THE FRONT OF HOUSE
We love the design of the front of the house too.
All right guys pressures on!!!! Hope you have good connections on outside and a Plummer watchin in. Keep us posted. GOD BLESS!!
I know when gluing that up they push it in and true if it wont turn don't worry about and just push it in all the way your doing a great job
With you guys involve your kids, this is something they will never forget
We always hope so. I hope they look back on this time and think how cool it was that they were able to build the house they are living in.

enjoy birthdays and Spring.
Thank you! And thank you for watching.
Still loving your posts. Great progress you guys! Really enjoying music choices as well!
Thank you for commenting on the music. I pick out new music each week for the episode. So it's glad to hear someone likes the choices.
@@OneFootOfftheGrid where/how do you find it?

Your both doing great and tackling jobs. Every day is a learning day 😊

That's good advice. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. We are feeling pretty confident.
Insulation around holes around pipes and then rodent proof. Maybe pack steel wool for now incase anything has to be moved.
I am a do it yourself person. I have always been like this. When you are all done and look back ,you can say we did all of this. Be proud of what you two can do.
Thank you so much Gary. Yes, we are definitely a "do it yourself" couple, but we are feeling a little overwhelmed with this one. Lol!
Really cool.
Thank you.

Thank you so much Sandra! Yes, we are definitely tired of being in our crawl space, but it's all part of the build. Lol!
Now always remember the sew pipe nee slope towards the sewer what can water run best down hill
Had me dying 😂😂😂 Got a freebie. Respirator☣️
Looking great .Just think you're nearly there now keep going
Thank you so much Alan! A little bit of gluing each day will get us there!
Hello Darlings
You were missed on sunday❤
We missed all of you too. Our power didn’t come back on till late in the afternoon yesterday. It was so random. Thank you so much for watching.
how wonderful..spring have really arrived ...and getting closer to the very desired moment...and so cool seeing the boys working on their projects😉😊

Super Arbeit wie immer und bleibt gesund 🤗🙂😊😁🙋♂️
Thank you!!!
How did you ever find that tiny crack in the water pipes? Like the orcas at the end of the road!
Would you guys consider building a house for me.😅😅 I'm sorry just kidding. You both are truly amazing.
LOl. I don't think we will be starting a construction business anytime soon. If you're looking to buy land or house in the Hood Canal though, then I'm your guy!
Did the pipe length creep from the dry fit? Or did dry fit stay accurate. You were concerned about that.
We did have some creep and had to recut a number of pieces. Wasn’t too bad though.
If you had to do this over, would you dig the crawl space deeper?
It’s hard to say. We know will have an outbuilding later on for storage so we won’t need a basement for that. And every foot that you add to your foundation, makes the price go higher and higher. We built the foundation that we have the money to pay cash for.

What could go wrong?
Right? We’ve got this! And if we mess up, we’ll figure out how to fix it!!
You made the loss of pressure seem like it was just a blip in your day. I assume it was stressful at first. How long did it take the find the leak?
Actually not too long. I was able to hear the air coming out of the fitting and it was the second fitting I checked.
❤😊❤😊❤
🌼👌🏻
In the "won't turn " view, you may be taking too long applying the glue, and using too much. That stuff has a
fast cure time.
It could be. From gluing all the other pipes now, I think I started turning too late.

ok relax that abs you bend a little is like a stiff garden hose you bend it a little and it will fine
