Thanks! Me too! My wife is getting really good at distracting me from going sailing. I wanted to get out and test it for that video but too much fun stuff going on on land 😂
@@sailingsole you are living the dream in my humble opinion, I love the times you take us to the auctions. Wish I could attend and live the s.v. life as a live a board. Keep them coming, appreciate all the videos. Enjoy the good weather.
as soon as you started drilling by those wires i cringed and waited for you to cut 1, it's just too easy to make that little mistake. also, i have seen people tear up their fingers drilling into something small like that box for the switch, glad you still have all your fingers lol
Haha yeah it got a little dicey. I work with power tools everyday and I never take for granted that I can ef myself real fast if I’m not careful. It was close, that’s why I put it in reverse. 🤙🏼
Hey man, great install. I have a 30 TR, and would love to do this mod. No issues with stability or structu8re around the deck where the winch attaches? That would be my only concern
It pulls laterally so it’s not an issue on my 1978 foredeck. I didn’t put in any backing plates due to the way the underside attaches to the topside. If I notice any issues I’ll figure that out but as of now it feels very strong. That said, I haven’t used it in a real situation yet. I’ll report back on that soon. Stay tuned to future videos. 🤙🏼
if your in cali would love to help you work on the boat free of charge in exchange for some sailing lessons ....highly skilled engineer and navy lcac mechanic...camera man lol
Love how many UA-cam sailors you do little cross over episodes with!
Thanks man. I have no problem telling g everyone who I’m hanging with. We’re all sailors right?! Cheers! 🤙🏼
Glad to hear I'm not the only one that uses the same standard procedure for boat projects! 🤣 Well done on the install. Let's go put it to use!
Haha ain’t that the truth! Yeah that’s the plan. Aug 17 is close!
Thanks for the shout out! You ROCK!
Right on guys. I meant to do it in the last video about the windlass but my dumb ass forgot. 😂🤓
@sailingsole no worries man thanks
Of course, typical beer sitting on the bow during wiring of the switch. Love it!
Of course! Is there any other way? 😂🤙🏼
Good job Andy🎉
Thanks bro! I been a C30 tank top! How much? HMU on IG 👍🏼
Coming along nicely. Can’t wait to see you drop and raise. 🎉🎉🎉

Looks great - how much power draw while it’s in use?
Thanks. It draws 700 watts. It has a 60 amp breaker.
