I have had 7 different multitools in my Ali Express shopping cart for over a month, just waiting for the Black Friday sale. But I just dumped two of them so that I could get that Leatherman P4. Thanks.
I bought the Bibury Wave and Surge clones months ago and have been using and abusing them on a daily basis and am pleased with the way they both have held up. Can anyone tell me where to buy the ball detent bits as I recently lost my Phillips/flat one and the Klein bits ate too big?
The Powerpint's unfortunate lack of a flat driver is a deal killer - for me anyway. But I did put the $43.99 Rocktol in my Amazon cart. These semi-budget Leatherman clones have a lot of utility/dollar, and make a fun little collection.
I've been really happy with the PowerPint when working on small electronics, like relays and stuff. Having the precision screwdriver on a multitool is fantastic. The Saw and File also have been nice to have...I just wish I had a use for everything else on the tool. Even the knife blade is annoying to deploy/put away and is too small honestly
Ali Express sells the sheath for the PowerPint. And they sell bit kits for them too. I wouldn't purchase the SOG bit kit because it doesn't fit in the sheath. (it's way too long) But if you get the sheath (about $10) you can also purchase a generic 10 bit set in rubber holder for about $3 more. Then you can have everything that you need in one sheath.
@@Hector-vx5yc Almost. The Arc has better inside tools like a bit driver. A much better knife. The frame functions similarly but is designed differently. So the Arc has a better toolset and different cosmetics but the plier head and frame I believe are basically the same.
@ I just watched your video where you got banned from leatherman…?! Can they actually do that? I’m not a collector, however, did order the ratchet driver and other items, I really like the tools..! And surely I don’t want to be banned.
@Hector-vx5yc Yes, it happens unfortunately. The main problem is people buying limited edition Leatherman's and selling them. However like me one can be banned for an unknown reason.
Yup still think someone at leatherman is smoking something good if they think adding magnetic detent to their tools qualifies as "Technology" all hype and marketing nonsense maybe leatherman will learn that discontinuing the crunch and squirt and their keychain pliers was a dumb decision and that their old customers don't give to shit about this gimmicky nonsense.
They aren't the same Surge as before... Over atleast the last decade the steel quality/QC/heat treatment seems to get worse every year as the price goes up... You have much higher chances of getting a bad one, only to have to spend $40 and be without it for warranty with replacement of still questionable quality parts! I'm done buying Leatherman until something changes drastically... When my chinesium clones can take more abuse than a brand new or recently repaired (again!) Surge then it's a pretty bad sign... I wish they would just do a Gerber business model of decent import tools, then high cost high quality USA made tools... At this point they are charging premium USA made prices for below import product consistency/quality... The sad downfall of Leatherman has been noticeable over the last 20 years, now it's just glaringly terrible! 😒 I still hope they recover to something near their formal glory, but the seem to have no connection to actual users or the internet in general 🤦♂️ They just make expensive box openers for office workers that take weekend day hikes that want that "Leatherman" branding now... But I guess that's a market willing to pay the price without ever really requiring actual durability. So maybe I'm the dumb one, not Leatherman corporate leadership? 🤔 Spend $50 or less on a Bibury/Roktol/Multper Surge clone and see for yourself... It'll also give you a durable reliable backup for when you have to send your $130-160 Surge away for another "free" warranty repair after paying for shipping/insurance if you choose, then waiting weeks for it to return... Basically you can buy a Wave or even Surge clone for the cost of every warranty repair shipment 😂 plus you can choose a Surge clone that has a 1/4" reversible bit driver if you are also tired of the declining quality of stupid Leatherman proprietary flat bits that have NO place on a full-size heavy duty multitool! (Clones with the standard 1/4" bit driver and the still useful Leatherman style reversible eyeglass bit holder are available if you want a mixture of the best of both worlds) Because some engineers are actively innovating and perfecting designs... Just apparently none at Leatherman 😔
Roxon KS2e also comes with bit driver attachment, bits, bit holder, and carry pouch that fits all of that plus the KS2e itself.
Is there any possibility that you could disassemble the roxon flex companion? So we can see exactly how its made
@@danielorozco1728 Good idea!

The Bibury tool is only available to Prime Members.

@SustenanceNCovering Great idea!
Do you like the arc-shaped thumb stud on the P2 main blade? Does it work better than a stud? Who is the vendor?
I wish Leatherman would get rid of half serrated blades. I like the P2 but won’t pull the trigger cause of the half serrated blade.
Hey im interested in the watch, old heirloom or new purchase heirloom? Can i get one?
@@basselsabubgarcia9195 it's an Aliexpress pocket watch about $3.
Hi HVAC, isn’t the p4 and the ARC the same tool?

Those P4 deals are insane. Really hoping the tool sticks around a while.
@@zachlyndeYT That is a great price!!
I'm waiting for the Surge to drop prices. it's their most versatile tool, not to mention that it's very strong. All these free series are bull crap.
