Dude. MooMoo prohibits referrers from sharing selling or otherwise promoting the referral link on public domain including social media platforms that are open for public viewing as this is likely a violation of relevant Australian financial services laws and regulations which may attract legal consequences.
This isn't a comparison, this is a trading platform review. For a comparison, you should divide them into criteria such as "best for ETF user", "best Australia market", "best for US market", etc. or at least show a table comparison. Anyway, thanks for this video information, I have to make my own comparison to pick one suits my taste.
4:12 CMC, not the first trade of the day - the first trade of the day for each securities. You can technically buy multiple shares below $1,000 on the same day and all of these trades will be free.
Thanks Raymond. Great vid! CHESS sponsorship is ESSENTIAL!!! Whether people care or not, is an indictment on their (limited) understanding. YOUR job is to raise that understanding!
Gold. Huge thanks for putting in the time and effort to make this super information-dense video. Just wondering if there’s a document or a table that compares all of these brokerage apps. So we can directly see the fees and cost.
Hi Raymond , great comparison, however, may be for the future you may want to consider for instance support? How good is their customer service? Some of the ones that you've mentioned they have horrible customer service reviews. Also, how easy is to get your money out, transfer to another broker or just even withraw your money. Sometimes it is not about the fees, it is how safe , reliable and supportive the broker /platform is. My 2 cents
Hey Raymond, can you do a double check on that inactivity fee for CMC. Looking at it, the $15 fee is for a CFD account and not their share broker account. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Would've liked to see joint account options, e.g. Pearler has joint accounts but you can't do micro, with Saxo there is a Kafkaesque onboarding process that didn't get us anywhere so for Vanguard ETFs we're sticking with Vanguard (managed funds) and we occasionally buy individual stocks on Pearler.
I’m new to Australia and currently using Pearler and dollar cost averaging IVV index fund, but Pearler doesn’t give me the option to select which batch to sell! Apparently you just tell ATO whatever & they accept manual tracking in excel! This is complete cowboy here. I’m told that’s the case for all Australian brokers. Is that true? In the US with Etrade you can select exactly which stock batch to sell giving you clear cost basis and date of purchase critical for CGT calculations
Just the video I was after. As always, I am tremendously grateful for your direct, simple and effective forms of communication. Keep up the great work. GOLD
If you're okay dealing with Interactive Brokers interface then it will be them since they have the lowest FX fees at just 0.03%, this more than negates the $1 USD minimum transaction fee if you're investing a large enough sum.
Gold. Great content and well presented with graphics and information on the screen. Could you suggest me the best options trading platforms in Australia now? TIA.
If you’re looking for options trading I’d suggest Moomoo for a simpler UI and interface or Interactive Brokers if you don’t mind the more complicated UI
@@raymondla ok thnks mate , i have some experience trading options in india so i am looking for a broker with a low fee and a good and user friendly interface like robinhood but for Australia tho
I haven't looked deep futures trading so can't say with confidence. But Moomoo, WeBull and Interactive Brokers would all have the ability to do futures trading.
GOLD Thank you for the video! Liked and sub. I want to investing Index fund in both AU and US, with chess sponsor, using dollar cost average method, around 100K$ portfolio size. which platform would you recommend? would be great if you'd make a comparison chart! Thanks again!
Thanks for the sub and glad you're enjoying the content! I personally am investing with Moomoo currently which I talked about in a recent video here - ua-cam.com/video/rXliZSRek_M/v-deo.html
Haven't looked into them much as I know they started out as a NZ broker only, but they use a custodian model and I'd personally opt for a CHESS sponsored broker over them.
@@singlemommy7011 Spaceship Super is awesome been with them since they opened and portfolio has been killing it with the US tech exposure; Nvidia, Amazon, Apple, Google etc etc
Hey guys don't forget to sign up to Moomoo and get 10 free stocks valued at up to $3,300 and earn 6.8% p.a. interest - bit.ly/49u0XHY
Can you seek those stocks after you receive it?

I enjoyed watching the video and listening to the content. However, I found the background music a little bit too loud and distracting
Thanks mate I’ll take that feedback onboard regarding the bg music!

After 1st trade of 1000 will you be charged blockage fee if you buy the same stock or ETF the next month under 1000?? Or not ?
Thanks Raymond. Great vid! CHESS sponsorship is ESSENTIAL!!! Whether people care or not, is an indictment on their (limited) understanding. YOUR job is to raise that understanding!
Yes definitely always recommend going with a CHESS sponsored broker!

Hey mate, good idea I'll look to create a spreadsheet and link it in the description/comments. I'll let you know when I've completed it!

Good pick up, double checked it and it is indeed only for CFD accounts!

I haven't looked into joint accounts myself, so definitely an area I need to do a bit of research myself!
Thanks. I wasn't aware of CMC. Wanted something like this to fortnightly average into S&P.
Gold overview, I’m glad I chose wisely 20 years ago with my broker choice 😊

Always enjoy watching your videos. Very informative 🙏🏻
Very informative video with lots of useful info
Thanks Raymond!
Thank you Raymond, love your informative video! Does Moomoo charges any FX fee when buying US stock like Stake does ?
Yes, Moomoo charges FX spread of 55 bps when converting to / from USD whilst Stake charges 70 bps.
Just the video I was after. As always, I am tremendously grateful for your direct, simple and effective forms of communication. Keep up the great work. GOLD
You are so welcome!
what do you recommend for US brokerage in australia in terms of fees. seems like cmc offers the lowest 0$ plus 0.6% FX versus others? cheers buddy

So in that regard interactive brokers is the best to invest in single US stocks and keep stake/moomoo for the ASX listed stocks?
Hi Raymond, does CMC charge a currency conversion fee if we buy US stocks? If so what is it and how does it compare with Stake? Thankyou
The spread for CMC is 0.60% whilst Stake charges 0.7%
