What a coincidence that the first non-sponsored Turbo R video the car breaks. Get ready for more videos like this. I have touched every bolt on my 2017 xrs which is why I trust it. Yes, everybody builds crap nowadays. The people who design cars are a little brighter than the ones who assemble them.
I had a 19 xrs then a 21 xrs. The 19 was solid. The 21 (covid car I called it) litteraly had fasteners all through the front end that were finger lose the day I brought it home from the dealer. Upper and lower control arm bolts never tightened. Thing sounded like it was falling apart on the first ride. You'd think these are ready to rip in new condition but they aren't.
Not uncommon anymore for there to be loose fasteners on brand new ohv's . Ive found a few over the years on friends new sxs's . I recommend everyone bolts check your new rig .
I picked up my new x3 a couple months ago, highly disappointed in the build quality and lack of care, loose bolts nuts and rivits sitting in damn near every crevasse, found multiple loose bolts and t30’s. No crush washers on either drain plug. Nut and bolt everything!
Oh man my 2022 Polaris Pro XP Ultimate was anything but Ultimate. Bought it in August 2022, 2 weeks later Polaris sends out a Stop Ride/Stop Sale recall on the fuel flange and it lasts for 7 months! Tells everyone to pound sand and suck it up. Things a rattletrap, squeaking and banging every time I put in drive. I was hoping Can Am was better but now I’m not sure….

I really want one of these but the lack of quality control continues to be a major issue. Panel gaps I can “deal with” but this is a huge safety issue.
Definitely a warranty issue, don’t beat yourself up about that! The dealer needs to pull the wheels and tires and go over every nut and bolt on these things. Not the first broken one either with a few people snapping the front lower an arm. Hope you get one soon, still thinking it will be a good machine with the bugs worked out
I am not a Cam-am guy but after watching the Mavrick R on the short track it look like it handled great. It was Great meeting you there. keep up the good work
Nice video I own a pro r 2 seater do you think the drag race would be different comparing apples to apples I mean 2 seat versus 2 seat ? Is the knew can am tapped out on that the 3 cylinder turbo just curious your guys thoughts
Just picked up my 2023 Renegade 650 a few weeks ago. I was very disappointed with the overall build quality. loose fasteners every where. found a cross threaded bolt on battery hold down, display was crooked in the mount. All other Can am I've owned were perfect, but its been a few years since I owned a new one and this pissed me off. BTW, every Ski Doo I've owned (I buy a new Xrs every year or 2) has been flawless. Ski Doo are still built in Canada, Can am are built in Mexico, I guess that's the difference.
It’s no secret that can am uses as little material as possible in their machines and build them as cheaply as possible. You basically had to reinforce the entire x3 chassis just to make it usable and reliable. No surprises here. Same “can” just more ham.
Agreed!! Can am uses very thin metal damn near everywhere on their machines!! Funny to me how everyone screams crap about other brands (especially SPEED) but they dont say much when polaris or can am break on the first day.
I can see those front wheels when turning corners are going to coat the driver & passenger & inside the car with mud & dirt & be impossible to control the muck thrown up by the wheels being so far out from the front fenders.
Probably no cotter pin from the factory and the nut backed out. Otherwise the car was sure rippin when it broke. Surprised to see the wheels had balancing weights from the factory when you pulled it off
I had the same thing on my then new 2015 Polaris RZR1000XP with a finger tight nyloc nut on the front pivot bolt of the rear trailing arm & a generally poor finish on my new 2021 Can-am Maverick X3 Turbo RR with plenty of missing washers & panel bolts on one side. Quality control on assembly in the factory is highly suspect & pre-delivery preparation consists of cut the tie down straps off & pump the tyres up & take the customers money. I check all the nuts and bolts for tightness before I ride anything from new.
Has the reason ever been said why you left sxs blog? Are y’all still friends? Speaking terms I for sure thought I would see a get together every once in awhile
With my words... I own and handle here in germany a brandnew MAVERICK XRS MAX TURBO RR and every time I found any issue's and quality problems.... But in fact the "R" - Version costs here in germany 60k!!!! 60k's for problems and poor quality check and so on, that's not acceptable!
That is definitely a poor mark against the dealer. Someone got paid to PDI the machine, and more time should always be spent when it is a newly released model.
Its like it never went through a Quality Control check and I bet the nut wasnt even tight...or maybe it was never even on there because it should've had a cotter pin through it...
If you want more steering feel and feedback run a wheel that sticks out a little more. Just remember that doing this reverses the benefits from their suspension/steering design.
I still have no idea why they split and I need to know. They don’t even talk to each other or feature in videos together snd I just need to know what happened that was so bad it warrants that behavior
The dealership that you got it from or Wayland speed got it from I should say needs to warranty that s*** and call the dealership on it be like what the fuc

"Never fix the things that isn't broken".. They should have stick with the same design and added the 7 gear transmission would have been golden... Stupid.
Who is surprised? Lol
That must have gotten missed in QC, would have happend to anyone driving it.
Rich rules baby!!!
Not at all lol. Not ypyr fault dude . Factory fk'up
Must be a Friday or Monday build car. Or then again it could just be a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday build Can-Am.
Not one person

for 50 grand you think they would tighten everything. I have never tight anything on my 20 grand yxz everything is tight.
loose bolt is bad enough but missing cotter pin ? glad it was a rear fail and not a steering fail

That’s a really bad sign. Radius rod looked mighty thin. Sad. Didn’t beat on it at alll not even a real world test. 😒

Nice to see a $40+ machine just falls apart on its own lol
There is no worse feeling than breaking someone else’s machine even if it’s your fault or not… trust me I’ve been there before
Completely agree with you on that. Horrible feeling
See that's exactly why i am a Whalen speed customer for life 👍😁

Rich rules finally representing Whalen speed !!!
Newbie here. Is this typical for canam?
quality build Can am.. lol some one forgot the locktite
Can't believe it's a single sheer radius rod end.. didn't can am learned from the 2017 can am X3... FML.

QC was on break when that unit came off the line!
Why aren’t you with the SXSBLOG guys anymore?
You wasn't even beating on it what the heck!?
What a hunk of junk. Rocks and logs are going to be a nightmare for this suspension front and rear!
I can see those front wheels when turning corners are going to coat the driver & passenger & inside the car with mud & dirt & be impossible to control the muck thrown up by the wheels being so far out from the front fenders.

Top notch build quality
You weren't even being hard on it thats crazy it broke that easy ....
I saw pics of one with a broken front A-Arm. But I'm not sure if it was broke out in the wild. Think it was at the sand show.
Rich rules lookin jacked. And as usual ripping way harder then the the sxs boys.
That thing looked fast!
Dealer will probably have to open their mail in order to get part numbers! 😄
That front suspension looks so Funny im really surprised they went with that.
Rich rules the land the sea and the racetrack baby !
Happy I found your channel. Can Am owes you a test unit.
You said the steering was so much better. But through the corners without a berm you were turned quite a bit before it would start to turn.
The way the new front end is designed it feels like it's floating when you're driving it you almost forget to steer
LOL Rich breaks it again. Rich Rules - the first Rule is if it can break - Rich will
Can't see it being your fault. It looks like the bolt wasn't tighten or cotter pin installed at the factory.
The hood won't stay on right??
When do the 4 seaters come out dammit!!!
Factory recall? 🤔
Who ever designed this
Is a genius😎
Nothing wrong with the design, anything breaks if the factory don't tighten bolts 😂
That says a lot about their Quality Control, there is no way if it was assembly right. That should happen.
id say warranty claim for sure lol. No bolt or cotter pin XD
Very fitting. Lol is it the DCT that clunks the whole time? Yes before it broke, on decel especially.
Can ams fault. You didnt even beat on it! My 22 outlander had missing grease zerks and loose drive shaft bolts from factory!! Come on can am grow up!!
With my words...

60k's for problems and poor quality check and so on, that's not acceptable!
I'm very satisfied with my entry level '23 X3 DS for half the price of the R model.
First one to find a weak point,Rich rules!!!
That is definitely a poor mark against the dealer. Someone got paid to PDI the machine, and more time should always be spent when it is a newly released model.
You are know to push machines to the limit. I'd call that a good trial
Its like it never went through a Quality Control check and I bet the nut wasnt even tight...or maybe it was never even on there because it should've had a cotter pin through it...
See I didn't like the way the front end makes it feel it makes you feel like it's floating and steering itself what do you think Rick
If you want more steering feel and feedback run a wheel that sticks out a little more. Just remember that doing this reverses the benefits from their suspension/steering design.
My saying if your hand never touched it, don't trust it. Always check them little nuts and bolts even if it's factory
Thing holds up good needs a better driver tho to really put this thing to the test
Learning experience obviously any owner of a new or used machine should go nuts to bolt and not trust that quality control was 100%.
Still wish we knew why you and the sxsblog guys parted ways, the channel isnt the same without you
At lease it wasn't an axle
Rich rules has entered legendary status. Hopefully that’s just a poor PDI by the dealer.
100% not on you. Love the X3’s, but you do have to put a wrench on everything before anything else. Sucks for the cost.
Richrules baby!
Car looks ugly in the front. Control arms look like crap.
It's obvious it was assembly problems at the dealer
Flashback to donuts on the razor
Bolt check before every ride
we'll you really wern't driving it hard so i would say it's the dealers falt or the factory's falt the bolt came off.
I'd buy some rr stickers
Definitely not any driver’s fault. The dealer or factory is likely to blame.
Definitely not your bad outside of the break nice rig you need to add one to your fleet.
I still have no idea why they split and I need to know. They don’t even talk to each other or feature in videos together snd I just need to know what happened that was so bad it warrants that behavior
Dude, your lucky 😂
Can-Am Q.C. strikes again.
Those arms need to be matte black/dark grey
Weak radius rods on a Can Am ?Never heard of it .

Latest news, assembly employee fired from can am Monday morning.😊
Looks and acts like a boat anchor
Then why pay 45k for this quality
Hmm, weird…. Wouldn’t be like can am to not tighten the hardware properly….
Someone that actually knows to keep his thumbs out of the steering wheel spokes, good on ya!
