Sir, suppose I have a survey questionnaire of 40 questions. And I want to know regarding the conditions of my study area where population is around 2.5 lakh. Can I use this formula to determine sample size?
What I don't get here is the FINAL SAMPLE SIZE... should be 383 minus 19... WHY? because of the Cochran's Sample Size Estimate, the result was 383... For instance, you disseminated the survey to 383 and you estimated that non-response from 383 is at 5%... Your final sample size should be 364... ua-cam.com/video/GW_Wh-iBZsk/v-deo.html&lc=UgzkgJlFvm-i4WwR27d4AaABAg.9m0qP0DZuQ59mJSnJdRQUw
@@DrJayantaDas I beg to disagree sir because formula Z Squared is the cochran’s sample size estimation formula already. That’s the minimum sample size. The other formula is what we called CORRECTION formula, where we already have knowledge about the population
Very good explanation... Thank you...
Greatly expanded Sir
Do u hv make video for how to calculate the infinite population by cochran?
Chochrans formula only apply for infinity population?
If total population is 5 lakh 78 thousand than what should be the sample size?
Sir my population is only 800 plus. Can I apply this formula?
Hello sir, may I know the purpose of adding the size of non-responded sample? Hopefully you see my query here in your comment section. Thank you
Wonderful and thanks for sharing
Sir can you share what should be the sample size for a pilot study
E is margin of error not 0.05?

Yes, if your population is known, then you can follow this method.
Thank you. But the first formula is not Chochrans'*formula. It is Yemanes'
are you from Bangladesh? Your accent is very similar to the south east region of Bangladesh.
I am from West Bengal
Very helpful
Thank you very much

Thank you for your question. But it is the minimum sample size, we can't take less than it. So we can consider 5% non responded samples.

Sir, I got 1.97 upon solving (1-0.025). Is it okay to just use 1.96?
You should consider only 90, 95 and 99 CL
@@DrJayantaDas alright, sir. thanks for the reply.
