This law on political parties coalition was hastily rushed through Parliament to make sure that mps could not hop from one party to the other by Amos Kimunya. Now it has returned to haunt Azimio and I don't see the coalition surviving beyond 6 months from now.
I think the law should be made clear on this issue. I thought one is not suppose to belong to two political parties, and that you can only join a coalition. How can one belong to ODM party and Azimio party?
When Azimio want something within the coalition for example nominations, it goes as ODM , when they are over powered by Kenya Kwanza in cases like Parliament Speaker they want to go as a coalition and the candidate is an ODM member, what a fallacy??? The Judiciary One can't be a member of an arm of the Govt without being a part of the Govt! Do you understand up to that point? Azimio-OKA coalition party is a conglomeration of two different coalitions: Azimio la Umoja (comprising of Jubilee, ODM, PNU etc) and One Kenya Alliance (comprising of Narc Kenya, Wiper, etc). I think it's obvious that Kenya Kwanza is the majority coalition in parliament. Azimio la Umoja is the second largest and should claim all leadership positions on the minority side. One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is the third largest coalition. This is common knowledge.
