- Somebody once told me this task would be quite tricky!! But they ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.
This is the newest edition of the 3rd life series where we are basically playing ultra hardcore, hearts don't regenerate. But we have a secret task to complete each session which can give us up to 10 hearts! L

Yeah, i feel like they're not entirely random. They seem to be getting harder over time too. But imo it's fine if the mods are just finding interesting pairings. Makes the content better than some truly wild randomization.

@@imperfectimpmy theory is that since the book is marked “(name)’s Secret Task”, they have a pool of thematically fitting tasks for each player, and randomly pick from that pool.
Yeah, seems like the tasks are tailor suited for people (seriously, Mumbo not allowing Scar to take 3 hearts damage?). Hopefully there's multiple tasks that each person could have and the game chooses a random one from that suite of tasks.

I think being away from Grian has helped Joel calm down. First two episodes were more hinged than I ever remember Joel acting in Life Series, then week 3 was more of the old chaos--while Grian was with him.

I can just imagine Joel looking at Lizzie and going "You know, you're the second best wife I've ever had" and Lizzie just be like "But I'm the only wife you've had" followed by just a small moment of awkward silence.
Task idea: You can't speak to "random username" for 30 minutes of the session, but you have to be around them sometimes under the 30 minutes
You could start the timer whenever you hear them speak.
Like, you have to communicate to them in anyway that is NOT talking or speaking to them in any way at all? If so, that sounds funny & hard! Like, you'd have to do something like flip a trapdoor or point (or try to point in MC) or something just to communicate, but you have to be muted the whole time? Literally muted or just not talk at all while being unmuted.
Task Idea: “Act like you think you’re muted and do or reveal something embarrassing. Another player must hear but awkwardly ignore it. If addressed, does not count.”
This would be fun. I'd be screaming at my mom like I'm the devil child lol No one would stick around and they would even decide to cut that out of their videos

Task idea 1: Throw a party for a past life series team (BEST, flower husbands, Ranchers, bad boys etc.)
Task idea 2: Get all Secret life members to throw you an item. Any item.
Task idea 3: Get 5 people in a row NOT to give you a heart when you ask them. If someone gives it to you, you need to restart

Task idea: Stalker
Be (player’s) secret stalker. Leave hints and messages that they’re being watched. If you get caught, you fail.
Task idea: tell Bigb, "Where's Bdubs?" everytime you meet him, you must at least do this 5 times during the session. If Bigb asks if this is your task, you fail.
Task idea: Use the wrong series name in at least 5 conversations. Only rule is that it has to be a life series. If someone calls you out on the task or corrects you, that conversation does not count.
Example: Accidentally call secret life Last Life

maybe to make it a bit harder have it be 4 times but u have to do each season, like you have to accidentally say 3rd life, last life, double life, and limited life, the latter 2 would prob be much harder

as lisa says, reds can't damage ppl whenever like in the past. Instead their tasks involve damaging people, and they can only damage ppl via their task. However they once they complete a task they get another one lol

Considering you are married, I think it would be a good task to go around and propose to each other in front of at least 4 people. And it has to seem like a random coincidence, like one of you was there and the other just happened to come along.
Task idea: be Jimmy’s bodyguard. You can let him in on the secret and he can NOT tell anyone. (Jimmy you heard me)

I remember watching other people's episodes and hearing "so much to do, so much to see" without even considering that it might be a task.
task ideas:
1st: get a group of at least three other people to do a cult style chant around someone’s base without being called out by the person who owns the base. the chant must include something that rhymes. it must also be either made up on the spot, or related to the base/ person who’s base it is.
2nd: go around the server and change all the signs you can find ever so slightly
3rd: be a vegan/ vegetarian for the WHOLE session.

A MUCH better episode for Joel this week! NOICE job with the lyrics sprinkled in (as well as the Annoyed expressions & giggles!) throughout an episode 😁. @24:10 Scar & his Exasperated "Sheeesh he's back again for God's sake!" just slayed me! He's sooo worried about following his task rules, plus constantly & INSTANTLY getting told by Joel to take it off is PRICELESS. 😆
Was literally looking for something to watch thinking “could really go for a secret life video” AND HERE WE ARE!
Task/Secret Suggestion: "Come out" to someone by telling them a big (made up) secret about yourself. If three people think it's weird then you succeed.

You see a lot of comments about how when someone uploads it makes your day, but nothing genuinely makes my day like seeing a new Secret Life episode in my recommended

I've been enjoying watching the different perspectives, but the best thing in this episode was how sweet the interactions were between Joel and Lizzy at 5:50. The other nice touch was the crickets when Joel found Grian, and Joel stumbling onto Etho riding in a land boat at 22:05. That whole Mumbo horse interaction was hilarious.

Task Idea: Congratulation, you have passed your task! But... You can't press success until end of session, and unless at least 8 people make an guess or assumption of what your task is, then next week you need to change to a hard task immediately.
Task idea: be the counsellor of the server for the entire session
Task Idea: Make people believe you are on less hearts than you actually are, you win if someone gifts you a heart without asking for one
what a relaxing episode after all the chaos and struggles last episode! Next session it is gonna be great to see Joel back up to 30 hearts hopefully!

avoid a player for an entire session, if they come within 5 blocks of you, you fail.
convince any player to change for a harder task.
pretend to be a physic and read 3 players futures.
say furthermore twice to at-least 5 players without being commented on.
speak with an Australian accent the entire session.
convince someone to go to the nether and get them lost.
switch every players bed to another’s without directly being accused.

Task idea: you have to make 3 vine references in 3 different conversions and don’t get called out
Hard task: Follow Scott for thirty minutes without him noticing.
Normal task: Use book / movie quotes as many times possible.
Task Idea: You have to start every sentence you say (in front of other people) with a certain letter of the alphabet going in alphabetical order. So the first peron you talk to you have to start your sentence with the letter A then the next sentence with B and so on so forward. You have to get to the end of the alphabet by the end of the session. If you mess up you have to start over.
I immediately left Grian's video to watch Joel's as soon as I guessed his task (heard him say "My world's on fire"... ) best task ever lol!
Secret Task: become Solidarity’s Hunting dog for this session and do whatever violent thing he asks
Task : Convince at least 3 players to guess your task while your task is not what they tought they are
Task idea:
1.Complimemt Etho 3 times and receive 3 compliments from Etho.
2. Get someone to give you a very valuable item for a very un valuable item.
3. Get everyone one the server to come watch you perform a dance/song.

I watched both Jimmy and Grian's videos before this and in both I picked up on the all star "my world's on fire, how about yours" but didn't actually question it to be Joel's secret
Task suggestion: when other players lose hearts, appologize. Do this 3 times without getting called out, if you get called out, you have to restart.
Task idea: have unbroken eye contact with 3 people for 10 seconds then run away, if the other person looks away before time is up find someone else
Task Idea: Convince a player you have a rare item without telling them, if they ask to see this rare item you must show rotten flesh to them
Task idea: Create a survey of 5 questions and get the answers for that survey from everyone before you're called out.
Hard Task idea: get all the yellow to ask what your task is
19:44 Yeah, underwater caving is risky as all hell, even when you have regen, but SO WORTH IT! So much materials but with only a strong risk of drowning damage. Hell, I don't think I've ever seen a Drowned spawn while doing that.
This whole episode was hilarious, but just…. Etho being an absolute gremlin in the background was something else xD
And those references were SEAMLESS, I wouldn’t have picked up on them either if I didn’t know, and I genuinely love smash mouth!
Task idea:
Plan a wedding and become a priest,
Minimum of 6 people need to attend to the wedding.
Task: Someone has to wear a jack-o-lantern and get asked, "wait you can wear jack-o-lanterns."
Idea for a task: Get at least 3 other players to recreate an historical event or battle from another series like the battle of red desert or bdubs pool party
Task idea: You are now BigB. Confuse the living daylights out of people, particularly Grian. If someone guesses that your task is to be as confusing as possible, then you fail.

The "I could use a little fuel myself" was a great mix-in into the conversation though!
Task Idea : Don't mute for the entire session.
Yellow Task Idea : Successfully spy on 5 people and call out atleast one of them of their task correctly.
Red Task Idea : 'Accidentally' push someone off a cliff without punching. They must take atleast 5 hearts of damage.
Task idea: convince people that its your pets birthday and have atleast 3 people say happy birthday (if you dont have a pet also convince them that you do)
Task1: Don’t let the person trying to find you find you
Task2: try find the person you are required to find
Stalk someone for 10 minutes then at the end tell them what they did example :
Lizzy stalks gem and she goes caving or farms then Lizzy goes up to her then says " have a nice time caving / farming "
task idea: speak in only noises to people for 30 minutes, this could be squeaks, grunts etc. if you say one word, you fail
Task idea: You are not allowed to go outside the bounds of a quarter of the map (NW, NE, SW, or SE). You may pick which quarter.
The fairground on the mound is iconic and no one can change my mind ❤️
One thing about shield that everyone should know is that you have to put your shield up BEFORE the mob start its attack. That means BEFORE the skeleton shoots its arrow. If you raise your shield while the arrow is already in the air, it wont work.
Task idea: successfully “sell” another player an entire chest/barrel (shulker box?) of the same mundane block (dirt, stone, etc)
It must be sold for payment, not just freely given.

You're are it in a game of tag. Punch someone else who hasn't completed their task to tag them. Once you tag them, give them this book and it is now their task

Task idea: Throughout the session film 5 reality tv confessionals if you are caught you fail
Task Idea: try singing a song, but get another person to finish the song, without getting called out, if you do you cant do that song or that person again
Task concept:
What If we had a task like this but the song depends on who gets it. For Example, if Lizzie gets it, it could be a song from Empires: The Musical. Or Joel could have another Shrek song. Scott could have Deal with Destiny. You get the idea.
For guessing, the player only has to guess what that they have to mix parts of their song in sentences for it to count (guessing what the book said would be impossible).
It might be too wild of an idea but thought I'd pitch it anyway.
Task idea: gaslight everyone with your task. You succeed once every yellow name on the server has failed at guessing your task

1. Hard task: Repeat everything someone says every time they talk to you, if they tell you to stop, you fail. You can re try this 3 times.
2. Easy task: Follow Etho around everywhere silently. Don’t say anything. If he tells you to go away, you fail.
3. Possibly hard?: Give someone on the sever a trash gift. If they genuinely like it, you completed your task. If they don’t, you fail. One attempt only.
