I love this game. The only thing I would add to this review is that the expansions for this game make it even better, especially the fire and player power expansions, almost a must buy. Great video as always.
@@BoardGameHangover Absolutely. IMO Choppe Shoppe (mad asymmetry) > Carnage at Devil's Run (Fire and jumps) > Big Rig & final 5 (very asymmetric extra player). I reckon the new carnival of chaos might slot in around Carnage, as it adds an extra player, plus another style of play.
Have you guys considered drafting games in the following categories: 1) gateway worker-placement, 2) gateway card/tile/dice drafting, 3) gateway tile placement, 4) gateway engine building, 5) gateway engine building and 6) gateway deck building? I know that in many cases, games might overlap, but I would still like to see what you come up with.
Been eyeing this game for a while now, so, there were go, added to the wishlist! And I wonder how easy it'd be to paint those minis... Because I feel like that'd add to the immersion.
oh you wont regret it - i was like 'i dont need another car game' and by the 2nd turn i was looking for a copy. this and heat will be my cornerstone drivers lol
@@kwirl to me, this looks very similar to another game in my collection: Titan Race. Franctic destruction of other players on a racetrack. It's good fun as well.
I love this game! But the care bears in my game group don't like the meanness. But even they have a blast when they relent and let me set it up for a race. And it's sooo quick! As soon as the first player is eliminated you bring out the finish line and it's over.
Probably the game that most gets me to remove the competitive spirit. Faced with a choice of safe & sensible positioning, or slamming into an opponent with potentially chaotic consequences... it's an easy choice.
I did not like this game at all. I wanted to like it too but it was just sooooo random and the expansion didn’t help either. Still a random mess and I love dice placement

Will need to try the expansions!

@@iansutton7416 Where can I get the expansions? I have only seen Carnival of chaos.
You all have the best board game channel... It's just the best. Keep it up, you'll be at 100k+ in no time.
I was gifted this game and haven’t played, I’m going to try and play it now!
How long is the Honeymoon?
Best board game UA-cam video introduction ever!
I think I have to try this one. Thanks for another great video!
You should!
@2.37 "Its super exciting the roll those dice" rolls 1,1,1,3.......proceeds to eat the cardboard lid
Have had a great time with this game.
Ooooooh this is on my want list!!!!

Love this game. Must have
Ooooh I was so torn on whether to get this game. It looks so cool but unfortunately I was too broke at the time the PM closed. I will cry now.
We have just the retail version and it is more than enough. It is much cheaper investment.
I think it is a must have game....😛
This feels bad for my group that is not competitive (They hated Survive: Escape from Atlantis)

How long does it take to play this ?
We completed a 5 player game with all expansions, and full rules teach in about 3 hours. Less players and less content will reduce that time.
The basic game without any expansions will take you less than an hour to play.
My mate and I were both seriously underwhelmed by this game. For a game that so many seem to find exciting I was pretty bored
