This an old video now, so not sure whether notifications of my comment will be seen.
I’ve been helping a nearby layout owner to get out some bugs in his track and wiring. He has an NCE dcc system that uses wired NCE throttles. I’d like to have him consider adding wifi capability.
In Steve Todd’s website, he has a note #1 for connecting to NCE that states, “Note 1: for NCE USB autoIdentify, remove all jumpers prior to powering on.” Are there jumpers already set that have to be removed? I’ve searched without being able to find a graphic that shows any jumper connection points, yet. In the RP forums, I’ve only seen text discussions.
Thanks for any assistance. Hope the shoulder is doing well.

I am enjoying your programs. I need some additional help. On my Panel pro when I construct a panel I do not have save when I try and save the panel to panels. Also I do not know how to add names to my panels I construct. Can you give me any help or direct me to somewhere that can?

I'd need to double-check my JRMI instance when I'm down in the basement again, but I think it's "File -> Store table contents and panels" rather than something more common like "File -> Save". Some things in JMRI will prompt if you want to save when you close, but some areas don't.
For adding text / names, I think Panel Editor expects you to use background images, and you overlay the actual turnouts or signals on top of that. I don't think there's a way to directly add text to it. Again, I'd need to double check, but I think Layout Editor lets you add you own text rather than having to first create a background image. Confusing, maybe, but that's how JMRI has decided to split the applications apart.
Hopefully that helps. I'll double check on my layout when I get a chance.
