I watched this video about 8 months ago while I was working as a customer service associate at a Home Depot. I was so miserable, it got to the point where I would rather not wake up at all than to have to wake up and go to that job. This video inspired me to quit my job and pursue my dream of working with animals. Not even 2 weeks after quitting my job I got hired at a kennel/pet resort. I loved it and I gained so much experience! Now, 7 months later, I am an ACT at a Vet's Office and I look forward to getting up every morning and getting to work at the Animal Hospital. I may have never been brave/inspired enough, or it would have at least taken me a whole lot longer, to chase my dream if it was not for you and this video. Thank you so so so so much!
Dear Jun, Through you, how privileged we are to witness such conviction, integrity, and joy; and be shown such humility, graciousness, and strength. Thank you for such great inspiration.
I'm so incredibly humbled by your kindness. Thank you so much, E Bou!! I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to watch this video, and even more for taking the time to encourage me. Namaste :-)
Wow. Thank you. The first 10mins, I nearly turned off. But you are on my screen now, speaking to me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have had a love, a deep desire to go back to try my hand at bathing in a salon. I made a decision in the last few days that grooming has been spiritually, coming back to my mind. Last night I realized what I’m meant to be doing the next stage of my career&life... I became excited but quickly overwhelmed & scared. So your beautiful words just touched me & told me, it’s ok to be scared. But my heart has been telling me to go back, & see what more I can do to help my dog walking clients& their pets.
omg!!! I bought your book today and didn't even know you wrote it until right now when I started watching your video!!.... I'm pursing a career in grooming and this has motivated me even more!! Thank you!!
Wow!! Thank you so much for sharing this with me!! Sooooo encouraging!! I really appreciate that, and I wish you the BEST in your future career as a groomer! :-D
I have felt so lost in life these last few years. I had to drop out of hs, I went from feeling like I was going somewhere to where I am now. I've always loved animals and knew I wanted to work with them, I had just never really considered dog grooming. Yesterday I saw a video about some dog groomers and I thought it seemed awesome. I feel like this is something I'd love and I can actually do. That got me interested but you're video inspired me. Thank u so much
Jun, it is always a great joy to listen to a kindred soul speak of our profession with such passion and joy. I found myself smiling and nodding through your "birthing" story as I'm sure all that have had a similar beginning did. I have been grooming for 34yrs and still feel that happy heart flutter daily. Namaste' young man. Please keep sharing....
Jun, It was fascinating watching you work with dogs. I have a very sick pup that has lymphoma and my research has taught me about how our touch means so much to our dogs and yours is obviously magical. The way we interact with our pets says so much about us and watching you interact with pets that don’t even belong to you is amazing! Keep doing what you love cuz you’re good at it. Thank you and keep doing videos they are a wonder!
Lorraine, that's so incredibly kind of you to take the time to say that. :-) You're exactly who I made these videos for - I knew what kind of people I wanted to help and to touch, and you are exactly my kind of person :-) Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our videos and to share such an encouraging comment with us. I'm so grateful!!
I love your attitude. I believe you can be ethical and responsible and prosper as well. You are living proof of that. Thank you for posting this video.
I normally don't write comments on youtube videos, but wanted to let you know to keep doing what you're doing! I'm not even a dog groomer, just someone who cares for dogs. i've learned a lot from your videos about how to take care of dogs, and it really shows that you care. 👏👏👏
***** Thank you so much! I really appreciate the time you took to give me such a nice compliment! You recognize in me qualities you possess yourself. You wouldn't be able to see it in me if you did not have it yourself. So that being said, I'm honored that someone as kind and handsome - oh wait - LOL! Seriously though, I really appreciate your kindness. :-)
Wow Jun, I'm not sure that I have words, how touching, how humble. You are truly an amazing person and an asset to this industry thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing. 🙏 Each video I watch of yours teaches me something and I learned a big lesson from this one. I did not know that you wrote a book I will definitely have to get my copy.
You are so awesome!! I am struggling with how to get started as a pet groomer....I know I will take that plunge soon, or begin a new adventure...i'm just older than most at 54 i'm so scared...but I know that's what I was meant to do! Thank you sweet Jun for sharing, and you will be a part of my learning and my beginning. God bless you and your family! Our furries are so gratefull too!!
You made me laugh and cry! You have a great attitude and care about the right stuff. You were humble to admit you knew it all and realized you didn't know it all. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am currently a bather apprentice and am struggling to keep up with the pace and it discourages me but this helped me remind myself of the end goal.
HI Jun! My name is Letanya Lambert and two or more years ago when I started working at Pet Paradise AZ I started fallowing you and subscribed because you made the most sense when it came to grooming, a lot of your videos looked right and the information you provided looked trust worthy. Today I found out at my new job at " Feilds of Fur Cage Free Grooming" that you used to work there, Small World! I was very happy to here your story and wanted to let you know that you will be part of the change for BETTER in the grooming industry. I do feel that it is extremely important for the pets to feel better and get better "Behavior wise and health wise" with each and every groom. Thank You!
I was glued to my screen for every second of this video. You are amazing Jun and really inspired me. I saw so much of myself in your words.. the passion for what we are doing and the dogs we are helping... the insecurities and looking for courage to move forward. You make me want to be a better me. Thank you.
Jun, you are so special, and I just discovered you not to long ago, I enrolled in a grooming school a couple of weeks ago, and after watching this video, my goal is to be a groomer just like you. Thank you for sharing your story, if it wasn't for your video I probably would have become any other groomer without purpose. Your such an inspiration :)
You had me tearing up after your story about the ISCC course. You genuinely care about the proper process of caring for animals. Thank you for sharing. :) I do not subscribe to channels often, but TODAY I just hit the subscribe button. Thank You....Thank You. You and your wife are an inspiration.
Hiya Jun, I like how you wear your heart on your sleeve, very touching and very honest. I am presently looking into dog grooming as a career after spending the last 30 years working in the welfare homelessness sector in Melbourne, Australia. I left in 2013 and have attempted many small business ideas in the last three years without any success. I need a passion to sink my teeth into and working with dogs would be rewarding, I love animals that much that I choose not to eat them as I am a vegan. Your video teaches me not to be afraid or make mistakes, thanks for that because if you have been out of the workforce for a while your confidence disappears very fast. At 63 I am looking for that career change as I am not prepared to put myself out to pasture just yet and I wanna bop till I drop. Cheers and good luck on your future.
Jun..my name is Kon Hiro Fumi..you really inspired me so much!!!!I'm a groomer/trainer for canines in Malaysia,Kuala Lumpur..I'm gonna be operating my own place but had some doubts..but now..watching your video..I'll do it!!!Thanks again bro!!
Thank you so much for sharing not only your story, but all the videos you do. I worked as an assistant groomer for about a year, and now I have moved on to starting my own business and it can be rough at times as you know. Seeing your video really made me feel good, encouraged, inspired, and so much more, so thank you. Grooming is my life. My calling. I love the animals so much and I truly want to do what is right for them, their families, and to help other potential groomers and anyone who wants to be involved, and I have found it is so hard to find people these days who truly care about not only what they do but who it involves (animals, people, products, etc). It is so good to be reminded that there are so many others out there that really care. In a world full of people who don't give a shit (sorry haha), we are out here and striving for greatness! Thank you! I bought your book, I can't wait to read it, and I am looking into the ISCC as we speak. Thank you and keep up the amazing work my friend. I will be referencing your videos from now until who knows. Thank you.
WOAH!¡!! YOU JUST SPOKE EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE INSIDE THIS HEAD OF MINE! Thank u !! This has been a life changing video for me seriously 😊🐕🐶👌😚 My mom died 11 months ago and i had no purpose in life and had been hospitaized for being suicidal. My dogs and family, hubby kept me going and funny i go outside too at night with bowie my peke and always look up at the stars . You just made me want to show everyone, even with depression ptsd and anxiety( that can be debilitating at times ) as soon as you find purpose and something you're proud of at the end of the day ots a life changer. So glad I found you're videos ...you're real, Patient, have a sense of humour about situations and do what most won't ...take the time and care about the dog and make his experience a pawsitive one 😊 Thanks again ! Btw i never leave comments but i just had to let you know 😊😊😊
Jun.. I just have to say... You are an inspiration. You say you want to make a difference and I can assure you that you are. I have had my dog grooming certificate for 6 years now and have been grooming dogs on the side (very casually) while I raise my family. I watch all your videos. I learn so much from them. I admire you so much for caring about the dogs you groom. I aspire to be like you. Being who I am and trying to be confident in my own abilities. Thank you making me feel that way. Regards
Jun, I've only come across your videos recently, having only just started on a Pet Grooming course. You are my Guru! Love your philosophy, your ethics, your outlook on Life, your approach to pet grooming! I too believe in Total Immersion, and have thrown myself into reading any and all dog grooming books, magazines, watching UA-cam videos, reading other groomers' blogs and websites, etc. I've joined several Facebook Pet Groomers Groups. And I'm asking questions all the time, in my quest to learn more about this beautiful art. Thank you, Jun! You're an inspiration!
This testimony makes me cry. We have similar testimony. I'm crazy dog lover. Thank you sharing your thoughts. You are amaazing groomer. I've been watching your grooming videos and it's help me alot.. Thank you Again. Bless your heart for what your intension for all doggies! Yes, Grooming is serious!
I just finished watching this and I'm so glad I did! I am currently in the medical field and I'm breaking into the grooming business and it has been a hard journey trying to decide to quit my job and pursue this but I'm going for it!! Everyone was being incredibly supportive but I kept hesitating but this was just the lil push I needed. I'm so sooooo passionate about animals and I knew it was my calling but I just wasn't sure in exactly what manner but I've discovered it and I'm so excited to get going!! I love that you mention God and how you are so honest and lead with your compassion. That is a rare and beautiful quality..keep doing what you do and God bless! Maybe I'll see you at the ISCC convention one day!
Your my inspiration, my gift to watch you every opportunity I have. You have a mature soul and the spirit of a wholesome master. I'm a 57 year old retired nurse and I must say most I worked with didn't have the wisdom you have.i'm proud of you. With respect.
You've given me a lot to think about! I admire your character, ethical stance, and care for the animals you care for. I'm looking forward to learning more from you and others. Your passion and positivity is inspiring.
Oh Jun.... I have been watching your videos since I first started grooming.....Love your outlook. I am all about Mistakes . As long I learn from them I do not consider it a Mistake or Failure....It is experience( I have been told that since childhood). I have been grooming for about 1 1/3 years now.No groomer grooms the same . We can try to match another groomer but only to a certain point. We all have our own style. The biggest part of grooming for me is the welfare, safety, and comfort of the animal. If explained right the pet parent usually has no problem..Communication is the key. Almost similar to your story. I Love my job now....I do not even care about the money ...it is about educating myself and pet parents....
Your commitment and passion are amazing. When you truly want something, you almost always, have to give up a lot to reach that goal. And you certainly did that. Your story is moving, honest and again, inspiring.
Thank you for such an inspiring video. Glad these furry babies have someone who really and truly care about them. May God continue to bless you and your family!
Hello Jun, When I saw the length of the video I though oh boy I hope he has some good information to give. You are definitely a cry baby and very emotional it is quite refreshing. It shows that you are very humble and passionate about your career. This video was excellent. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your journey up to this point. I'm currently a Dog walker and a pet sitter and I'm looking into adding grooming to my skills. I absolutely love dogs they are God's true gift to human beings. I can't even imaging the world without dogs. I have a Minature Dachshund myself and he's my heart. Last night I received my Amazon Order "Notes from the Grooming Table" I'm so excited you wrote a book that will be my next purchase. I'm so Happy that I found your video it just confirms that I'm making rhe right choice. You are very funny and keep being so positive and passionate about Grooming. I'm looking forward to watching your other videos and reading your book. Thank you so much for sharing your story once again. Stay Blessed. And Blessings to everyone else out there who you have inspired and who you will inspire. 🙏🏿
Wow! Thank you so much! This means so much to me! I wish you all the success and happiness in your business and your life. 🙏🏼 You’re going to have a huge advantage over other newer groomers because you’re starting with a solid foundation because you understand dog behavior and psychology. I’m sure you’ve had to deal with stubborn and/or aggressive dogs in your line of work. This will help you tremendously when grooming a dog that is nervous or uncooperative. Thanks again for your time and for such an encouraging comment! Best wishes!!! 🥰
@@JunTheGroomer1A Million Thank you's again. Your are most welcome. Yes, I have delt with all sorts of dogs from shy, aggressive, extreme anxiety, rescues you name it. And it does boil down to knowing dog Psychology and how to read them. I'm hoping that all I know about dogs will help me in this other chapter of my career. And as you said I don't know everything but I do know somethings. And I'm always open and willing to learn from others. Please continue to be the guiding light that others and myself may follow. Stay Blessed Always! 🙏🏿 Happy Sunday 😁
Oooo my gosh ! I just can not stopping listen to you! your words and face are so inspire for me. Thank you for all shearing experience. I have just searched one word "grooming" and now I am happy to find your video. It will helps me for my goals to become groomer. Really good groomer. Thank you again for those words " Do I want make just money or make difference ?" Good luck
Hey Jun, I'm 47 but have been grooming since I was 18. I'm listening to your video while painting a new sign for my shop. I'm glad you are sharing your thoughts. People need to hear them. At the root of what we do we help people with the heart of their homes. I too, way back when, thought that dog grooming was beneath me..thought it was a silly career. Boy was I an uneducated idiot back then. It has been the most rewarding purpose in my life, other than raising a daughter. We learn patience, we learn to communicate with unspoken gestures, we learn what honesty and pure love and trust looks and feels like with this career. I'm on my 3rd salon. I enjoy going to work every day because not only do I get to help people, I help make an animal feel better and in return the home is a much better place because my heart and hands move with care and kindness. That, my friend, makes hitting the pillow each night feel purposeful. Jun, you get why people stay in the industry. This video is just as relevant today as it was 6 years ago when you posted it. Oh~and you couldn't have hit the nail on the head harder if you tried. What we do?......it's Art....in all it's various forms. God Bless, Honey. I hope my words reach you and you are still doing well.
You are such an inspiration! I’ve always been a dog lover and have looked into doing dog grooming a few times over the years but never went for it. I’d signed up for a class at a local votec that had a dog grooming glass that got canceled because the groomer decided not to go on with it an after that I kinda just forgot about it. I’m 25 years old an I have my own family now an am wanting to set myself up for success, better myself and get to help dogs in the process so I’m quitting my full time job as a store manager with hours I love to go to school and learn how to groom! I’m renting a building in my town and giving it my all praying this is the right thing to do. I’m glad I found this video you’ve told of your success with the ups and downs. Thank you!
I wish I could work for you haha. All the groomers I met are the complete opposite of you. While you are exactly the kind of groomer I am and want to be. You give me so much hope. Thank you
you made my day. My family is having some serious difficulties today and I had been watching your early videos before I found out. I returned to them for comfort and to take my mind off something that I couldn't effect a change in today and you really helped with this video. I have read some of the comments and I too would place you up there with Caesar in your compassion for making the world a better place for everyone, one dog at a time. And I do mean the world! You help the dog which helps the owner and everyone that dog or the owner meets which in turn helps all they meet and so on. I know everyone I interact with today is going to benefit from the fact that I watched this video ( and others of yours ). and not only today! There is just one comment that I hope to make that may help you. When you correct a dog, you draw out the sound rather than a quick 'tsh' as Ceasar does. I don't think I need say more as you are likely more knowledgeable about dogs than I am. Thank you for your videos and today they made a great difference in my life!
+George Goertzen Thank you so much for sharing this with me!! I'm so touched by this, and I really do appreciate you taking the time to encourage me :-) I will definitely keep that in mind about drawing out the sound rather than making it quick. I may know a little more about grooming than you do, but I'm sure there's so much I could learn from you about other things like behavior and psychology. We are all here to help each other, and learn from each other. I know that I am going to have a great day after reading this, and everyone I interact with today will benefit as well :-) It's karma, and we are creating a better world together! I'm so grateful that we met here on UA-cam! Thank you so much for watching our videos :-)
This was perfectly timed for me. I hear your heart. It has given me courage to pursue my passion for dog grooming/ skin healing for the less loved dogs. I have no idea about the business side but it will unfold I am sure. Bless you So much. You really are an inspiration.
I have watched several of your videos and am so inspired. I live in a remote town in Northern PA and have decided to start a grooming business. Thank you so much for your videos!
Very inspiring. Thanks so much. I currently work in Financial services and although I love my job, it is not very fulfilling. I obtained my grooming certificate after starting to groom my own dog 2 years ago, but when working in a grooming salon, I saw the challenges. I stopped grooming (except for my own dog) as I felt grooming in a salon would not make me happy. Glad you made me see there is a different way too. And if I get really courageous, I might pick grooming up again as an in-home groomer as I know I would be passionate about that. Thank you, thank you!
Thank you for sharing your story! It's so inspiring especially since it was a challenging path! But the fact that you kept true to yourself the whole time and now you stand out because of that!
Thank you so very much Jun, I am new to grooming, I have a little mobile grooming business in Ireland, I am grooming just one year, but I have to say I am really good with all animals, All of the clients and owners are happy, stress free and cute and clean :). I was trying to copy other groomers styles and get it perfect , but your right , we are artists and as long as the dogs are happy and the owners, (I ask what they would like done and listen, only once have i refused to clip a old 17 years old dog, with a lot of growths, with a 7 blade) he was way too stressed, I used a clip on comb and he looked like a little teddy bear , the owner was delighted , the dog was happy and so was I. just wanted to say your my rock and inspiration. THANK YOU. :)
+Jackiepoodle1 Thank you so much! I'm happy to share my experiences, and it makes me feel so good that you liked this video. Thank you for the encouragement!
This is awesome. I just went and bought your book. I am currently studying to become a groomer. This is exactly the approach I want to take. Thank you.
Jun I so wish I could meet you and learn from you. Everything you said spoke to me on an amazing level. I have not been grooming long and share your beliefs. Where I work now it’s all about getting dogs in and out as much as fast as possible. I get yelled at a lot because I’m slower. I’m slower because I want to build a relationship with the dog. I believe if you build respect with the dog instead of fear you’ll get so much further. I think quality over quantity is so important. I’m sure others will disagree but that’s how I feel.
Cierra Medina I think you’re absolutely right about slowing down and building a relationship with the dogs. Once the rapport is established over time, the grooming will become much faster. Once trust is earned, the dogs are much more willing to cooperate. But trust is earned, not demanded. You’re 100% right, in my opinion 🤗👍🙏
Hello Jun! Thank you so much for this video. It truly is so inspiring. I have been following your videos since before I started grooming and still do now. You are the reason I even decided to go to grooming school! I held so much admiration for you and your work. I've been going through a lot right now starting up as a new groomer... From loosing my first job to being in debt, things are pretty hard at the moment. I did plan to go to college, but I began to second guess myself and talk down about my work. What is most interesting to think of is how much I put myself down, but in actuality I was never a bad groomer. I wasn't even fired for doing bad grooms. I'm just new and need to keep learning and growing in the art. Hearing how much you went through has also shown me that it is okay. More importantly, I will be okay. Thank you so much again for what you are doing and for all that you have shared! I will most definitely keep moving forward and I hope you continue to share your work!
you have a heart of gold your are a good person! thanks for sharing your story it is very touching , and i honestly couldn't do it without your advise .you have really inspired me in life and to becoming a great dog grooming! so many people that are around me laugh at what i want to study for and im even sometimes ashamed to say what i want to be, But thanks to your words i am no longer ashamed to say that i want to study to become a dog groomer and to follow my dream on becoming a great dog groomer! I thank you!!!!!!
+Kio love : H8ters going to hate! don't ever let people shame your dreams! if a person cant be supportive dont share your dreams with them. if they cant be supportive then they dont get to know. good luck!
I just loved hearing your story Jun! I wish you lived closer so that we could have you and your family for dinner! You are such a gentle soul which is needed to take care of our precious animals. Also, you videos are so helpful to us in the industry. Keep up the great work❤
Really enjoyed watching this. Your honesty and true words really scream out. Having over 12 years of grooming experience behind me and looking forward too. I can totally relate to all your heartfelt words of encouragement. I too have questioned myself. I am also into the dog training industry and have grown so much in myself through grooming & training dogs. Its a beautiful career and one that deserves more praise. We are artists, we are changers to dogs lives and also people (owners) too. My friend is embarking on a grooming career. She brought you to my attention and said she'd been watching videos of you. I said, if he is good and you like his style, go for it and continue to follow. I decided to check you out myself and i have to say, she was right to follow you and ive copied the link to her to watch this. It totally sums up all the things i have been saying to her, regarding her new adventure and business. Im so excited for her and Im glad i have watched this too. Even after 12 years, you never stop learning. Its called passion. And that my friend you have bundles of!!
Jun, I was laughing & had tears in my eyes through the video then you started. Lol! I had a scripture that I was thinking the whole way through. Jeremiah 29:11 Brother you have so much compassion & character. I'm so thankful for you. You are awesome to share your knowledge & your life experiences with us! I'm just a former hairstylist who tries to take care of my own babies because they are my CHILDREN. I have told others about you including my vet about what I've learned. God bless you man! And may your days on this earth be filled with happiness for you & your family! We may not be rich in money but we are rich right? And that's what matters! I would love to know where I could email you. I have a couple of things to tell you about my furboy & some pics so you all can see him! Thanks again so much! 😄😎🙏👼👏🐕🐶🐾🐾🌴🌹
Jules F I'm so grateful that I started making these videos several years ago. Even if only to meet someone as encouraging and kind as you. Thank you so much! :-)
thedoggroomer2012 Ditto! I'm adopting you & your family ok??😀🙏🙌🙆👍🎉✂🐕🐶🐾🐾🌴🌷🌹🌻🌼 I don't have any siblings so I will call you my brother & your wife my sister! It's really weird, I have felt like I've always known you! God works in mysterious ways huh?? Have a great night! 😃😊😎✌✊
I’m over here ugly crying. You are an inspiration. I’m trying to create my @priskypaws dog blog into a grooming business. Dogs are my life. Thank you for sharing. You just catapulted me into a motivation I needed today. You’re an inspiration.
I know this is an old video but it moved me so much. I'm learning to groom and I want to groom in a way thats good for the dog and myself...it's not about the money. I keep getting pushed at the shop to do more, charge more, don't spend so much time, wash, cut and go. Your way speaks to the groom I'm fighting to be....THANK YOU...so show me it's ok to be different.
Wow! what an inspiring talk! you are mature and humble ( I know you will say that you used to be otherwise, but not everyone grows as a person like you have.)The fact that you put your vulnerability out there by telling us about your personal struggles is what allows us to see what the foundation is for your empathetic grooming practice. You are wise beyond your years. I expect you're an equally awesome parent. All the best 😃
Jennifer L Wow, thank you so much for such an encouraging comment! :-) I really do try to do my best with parenting, but I also realize that there is no perfect way to raise a child - other than with love and acceptance. I'm learning that it is our mistakes and failures that help us grow and become a better person. "More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." Harold J. Smith
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. My daughter is going to be a dog groomer, she will be able to train for it when she is 18. She will be 17 in April. Please consider making more videos about the business aspects of running a dog grooming business. I like your philosophy about grooming dogs.
Kenneth Jagmin Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I'm so happy that you liked this video - 28 minutes is a lot to ask from someone, you know? Especially these days! So from someone who appreciates the value of time, I really am very grateful for your time. :-)
Love your story. You've motivated me to read those books you've mentioned and to become more involved in my furry babies grooming. Thanks for your honesty.
Cheryl Abrazado You're welcome, and thank you so much for leaving such an nice comment! It is so rewarding for me to know that I've helped inspire someone to think about grooming their dogs differently. :-) Thank you so much!
I can so clearly see that you have found your passion. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. You certainly are an inspiration!
You're so inspirational!!! I want to be a dog groomer, I'm a junior in high school, but I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to do. This video is so awesome! (:
+Marlee Hicks Yes, give it shot! If you try it and find it's really not for you, at least you'll know for sure - and you'll know early. There's no shame in it, really. I taught my wife how to groom, and she can do it, but it's just not her thing. She had a really hard time admitting it, but she realized that not wanting to groom dogs doesn't mean she loves them any less. Just like I love my children, but I wouldn't want to be a preschool teacher :-) I'm not trying to discourage you - but rather take the pressure off of you so you can do it for the enjoyment of helping dogs and their families rather than trying to prove a point. I have a feeling you're going to be an amazing groomer - you have the passion for it or you wouldn't have watched this video or taken the time to write me such an excited comment! LOL! You can call around to the different grooming shops in your area and see if they'll let you come in on a voluntary basis to help out. That way you can see how different shops operate, bc they all run a little differently, and you'll get to see the real world experience of what it's like to be a dog groomer on a day-to-day basis. Email me if you have any questions or want my feedback on anything. I'm happy and eager to help! It's junthegroomer@gmail.com. I'm so glad you commented!
I just watched your new upload here, and I cannot tell you enough, how very inspiring and heartfelt it came across. From the very first video of yours, that I watched, I found myself hooked! I have not been grooming long, but your philosophy and passion are so in line with my way of thinking....really! I find you to be so very genuine and endearing, and you make your viewers feel a sense of familiarity with you. I don't know why I am telling you that, but I guess that is just how comfortable you make me feel. It is not surprising at all, to see how well you relate to the furry ones you service. I thank you for all that you do, and for being so genuine and sharing of your thoughts and knowledge. Bless you and your family, Jun. :) ~Ramona
CrystalTurquoise05 Thank you so much! I really appreciate you being so kind and genuine in your comment here. Wow, I'm blown away! I love that you liked this video, and I'm so happy to meet you, Ramona :-) Thank you for being genuine, and thank you for being so kind. Thank you for the blessings. They are well received, and I send blessings to you and your family as well. I know that they are as well received by you as your blessings are received by me. :-) Hope that didn't confuse you, bc I had to reread that just to make sure I didn't EFF it up! LOL! But really… thank you so much. I really thank God for you.
love this video. I'm in grooming school right now and I found a link to your videos on reddit. thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experiences.
Thank you for sharing your story, it's a great one! You are such a blessing to the world!! The timing of this video is amazing. I can't wait to get the book
Corinne Deanne Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment on this video :-) I'm so grateful for you buying my book - I really, really appreciate the support! I hope you find the information in the book both clear, helpful and practical.
i have not had the best attitudes about me becoming a groomer. some people think it is gross and why would i want to do THAT for a living! there hasn't been much support behind me. i don't understand these thoughts..... so i gave up this thought of a career for a while. but it came back around again to me to become a groomer, this time it just fell in my lap. which i think means that it is meant to be. i am doing it now. i am a student and i am training. we learn from our mistakes! you have inspired me. you have reassured me that i am doing what i am meant to be!!! i was a graphic artist and now i am a dog grooming artist in training!!! thank you
+Sherway Petservices "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." Steve Jobs I'm so happy to hear that this video inspires you. You inspire me, and I'm so impressed with your story. Please keep in touch and let me know how things are progressing for you!
I'm trying to get in to grooming and you had me in tears about half way into this video. I was starting to feel overwhelmed and thinking of giving up.. Thank you for reminding me why I started this journey, and giving me more information on how I can't become a better educated groomer. Much respect to you sir. Any other advice you can give to someone who is trying to just get a start in the industry?
Jun, I would be so honored to actually meet you one day! You have a wonderful HEART. Your family & daughters must be so proud of you. Thank you for the inspiration and advice!! I totally "get" you.
horsetoy Thank you so much for such a nice compliment! I would be so excited to meet YOU one day - LOL! Do you have any idea how happy I would be that someone actually recognizes me?? LOL! During a lecture at SuperZoo, a lady turned around to let me know that she watches my UA-cam videos and I almost jumped the seats to tackle her! :-p I was so happy, but I had to try to act cool… but I did tap her on the shoulder to let her know, "It's so nice to meet you!" I hope I didn't creep her out LOL! Thank you so much for the encouragement, and I'm so happy you liked this video :-)
so inspiring I love watching people succeed in a such a positive way ! ill pray for you and your business to keep going and be successful may god bless !
+shilohii Wow, thank you for such a high compliment!! I hope to achieve his level of understanding with dogs one day, but I really appreciate you saying that :-) Totally made my day!
@Deb Bailey, September? Why such a long ways away? Just curious why you couldn't start training any sooner :-) But that's not really important - LOL! What's important is that I wish you the best of luck, and I hope that you really do love the work. Because grooming is a lot of work - I won't sugarcoat it. It sucks sometimes, for real! But it's also the most rewarding work I've ever done because I love the dogs that I know that I'm helping. Grooming is a Labor of Love… let's not forget the "Labor." You're probably already aware of how much work it takes to groom a dog well, so I'm sure you're passionate about it. :-) While you're in training, sometimes it will feel overwhelming. Sometimes it will feel like the other groomers or the person teaching you is talking down to you or being too hard on you. We've all been there, trust me. :-) I've worked with so many groomers who had to go in the back to cry during or after work. Just know that it is worth it in the end. You are just as capable as anyone else, and you have the potential to do some amazing grooms! It just takes hours on the saddle, as they say when you're learning to ride horses. It takes time and repetition, and then around the 2-3 year mark something will click and everything will start to feel easier - everything will start to make sense. No matter how hard it may get, if this is something you love to do and you know you can be great at it - don't ever let anyone or anything discourage you… not even yourself. I'm being completely honest here - I'm really happy for you and excited for you! I hope this wasn't too heavy… this is all just my personal opinion. I have talked to a lot of groomers from all over the world though, and it seems like I'm not alone on this though. It gets tough, and you'll want to quit at times. Just push through those times because grooming dogs is truly a rewarding job. Thank you so much for watching this video!! Good luck!
+Cher M I can't reply directly to your comment so I wrote you a message on your UA-cam page instead. I hope you got it, and sincerely hope that you're feeling better. We need more kindhearted, passionate groomers like you in the industry. "If you get knocked down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up!" Les Brown
I loved your story. Thank you for sharing. You are an inspiration to lots of people including me. You are so honest and funny. I love you. God bless you and your family.
Yankee Poodle Thank you so much for such an encouraging comment! :-) I really appreciate that. God bless you and your family as well, and thank you so much for all your support!
Babydoll Noir Wow this comment. Thanks girl!
Babydoll Noir thats an awesome story to hear!
The CrystalD I’m to that point rn
The CrystalD Wow! I know you wrote this three years ago, but this comment is equally inspiring. Any job updates (if you feel like sharing)?
Happy for you! Way to go!!!
Awwwww, thank you so much Kristy 🙏🤗🥰 I'm so happy you made it past 10 minutes!!! 🙌👍😁
+linda nerney Thank you so much! That means so much to me :-)
I normally don't write comments on youtube videos, but wanted to let you know to keep doing what you're doing!
I just got my first job at petsmart as a bather. I know it's low but you gotta start somewhere. I had my first dog today and I love it!! 💜💜
This is the best video I've ever seen on UA-cam. May God bless you and your family, and keep you in the palm of His hand forever.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am currently a bather apprentice and am struggling to keep up with the pace and it discourages me but this helped me remind myself of the end goal.
Nancy Acosta Thank you for watching, and I can totally relate to how you’re feeling. But just keep that end goal in mind and never give up! 🙌
Barry i am 52 and took up grooming just a year ago, thank you for sharing. Yours is a lovely story, I wish you all the best:)
You radiate happiness and love, you have touched me so much. It makes me sad that so many dogs don't get the kind, loving touch of you.
You are soooooo inspirational!!! I love your story! Thank you for sharing!
+Rocio Mares Thank you so much! It genuinely thrills me to know that my story inspires you - and for that I'm so happy to share it :-D
Jun The Groomer. right
What a beautiful human being. Thank you for changing this world for a better place.
Thank u !! This has been a life changing video for me seriously 😊🐕🐶👌😚
My mom died 11 months ago and i had no purpose in life and had been hospitaized for being suicidal. Btw i never leave comments but i just had to let you know 😊😊😊
stacey newell Wow!!! I'm going to reply properly later. Just wanted to make sure you knew I read this, and it touched my heart. ♡♡♡
Regards
I honor you and your wife! I see your joy and your need to help pets and their people. Thank you!
Jiun, You're a amazingly wonderful person and I'm proud to watch you! Thank you Sir. 😇
Haha hi annabelle! Just scrolling through the comments and found yours 😂 just discovered his channel today!
@@wooventura I love Jun the Groomer! Cool dude!
I enjoy seeing your love and patience with the animals in your care and your delightful laugh at the nervous times. Keep it up.
I looove how honest this video feels. Has honestly helped me realise I'm heading in the right direction 😊.
Thank you for such an inspiring video. Glad these furry babies have someone who really and truly care about them. May God continue to bless you and your family!
Thank you! 🙏🏼 May Good bless you and your family as well this holiday season, and bring you good health in the new year 🙏🏼💯🥰
Hello Jun,
When I saw the length of the video I though oh boy I hope he has some good information to give.
Very inspiring and heartfelt my man....thank you for putting this out there.
Oooo my gosh ! I just can not stopping listen to you! your words and face are so inspire for me. Thank you for all shearing experience. I have just searched one word "grooming" and now I am happy to find your video. It will helps me for my goals to become groomer. Really good groomer.
Thank you again for those words " Do I want make just money or make difference ?"
Good luck
THANK YOU. :)
Love your story, so inspirational, your love and compassion shines through. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for this. Your passion is so palpable! You've taken a road less traveled and the world is better for it.
It's great to see your love for what you do and how you are doing what you love and sharing your journey to empower others is wonderful.
Great video, great speaking and very entertaining. Really good advice. Thanks for sharing your story.
you have a heart of gold your are a good person! thanks for sharing your story it is very touching , and i honestly couldn't do it without your advise .you have really inspired me in life and to becoming a great dog grooming! so many people that are around me laugh at what i want to study for and im even sometimes ashamed to say what i want to be, But thanks to your words i am no longer ashamed to say that i want to study to become a dog groomer and to follow my dream on becoming a great dog groomer!
Keep up the great work❤
Thank you so much for such a kind and encouraging comment, Linda :-) Depending on what's for dinner, I'm willing to make the drive! LOL
That was a very open and honest evaluation of yourself, continue success. I’m a groomer and your story parallels mine.
Jeremiah 29:11
Brother you have so much compassion & character.
I'm adopting you & your family ok??😀🙏🙌🙆👍🎉✂🐕🐶🐾🐾🌴🌷🌹🌻🌼
I don't have any siblings so I will call you my brother & your wife my sister! It's really weird, I have felt like I've always known you! God works in mysterious ways huh?? Have a great night! 😃😊😎✌✊
Jules F You're like me… you have no idea what you're getting into. LOL! But yes! We would love that :-)
thedoggroomer2012 Bahaha! You have NO idea! I have my precious Mama & hubby! The rest are nuts! Lol!!! 😂😨😲👌
From the heart true words you share with others inspire us all. Thanks for taking the time to show us that it's ok to wear your heart on your sleeve
Kenneth Jagmin Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I'm so happy that you liked this video - 28 minutes is a lot to ask from someone, you know? Especially these days! So from someone who appreciates the value of time, I really am very grateful for your time. :-)
This is great and I can hear the passion in your voice that I have inside of me for the love of animals. Thank you.
I hope this goes up to a million views man. Great video.
You are so very welcome, Jun, and no, you did not confuse me at all, haha.
You have a fan for life, in me! :)
love this video. I'm in grooming school right now and I found a link to your videos on reddit. thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experiences.

Corinne Deanne Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment on this video :-) I'm so grateful for you buying my book - I really, really appreciate the support! I hope you find the information in the book both clear, helpful and practical.
i have not had the best attitudes about me becoming a groomer.
some people think it is gross and why would i want to do THAT for a living! there hasn't been much support behind me.
i don't understand these thoughts..... so i gave up this thought of a career for a while. but it came back around again to me to become a groomer, this time it just fell in my lap. which i think means that it is meant to be.
i am doing it now. i am a student and i am training. we learn from our mistakes!
you have inspired me. you have reassured me that i am doing what i am meant to be!!!
i was a graphic artist and now i am a dog grooming artist in training!!!
thank you

I'm so happy to hear that this video inspires you. You inspire me, and I'm so impressed with your story. Please keep in touch and let me know how things are progressing for you!
you're so inspirational Jun!!! let's make a difference 💕
I hope I find my purpose in life too. I feel so inspired with this. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the encouragement, and I'm so happy you liked this video :-)
so inspiring I love watching people succeed in a such a positive way ! ill pray for you and your business to keep going and be successful may god bless !

you are amazing and an inspiration!
Sharon Cooper Thank you so much!!
Excellent point about slowing down and respecting the process. You get better quality that way anyway.
What an inspirational story! Thank you for sharing.
That's EXACTLY how i feel! I'm going to school to get my certifications but you took the words out of my mouth
I seriously enjoy your videos. Your great attitude is infectious. Thank you.

+shilohii Wow, thank you for such a high compliment!! I hope to achieve his level of understanding with dogs one day, but I really appreciate you saying that :-) Totally made my day!
hey..I love your video..I'm starting training in September..can't wait☺
@Deb Bailey, September? Why such a long ways away? Just curious why you couldn't start training any sooner :-) But that's not really important - LOL! What's important is that I wish you the best of luck, and I hope that you really do love the work. Because grooming is a lot of work - I won't sugarcoat it. It sucks sometimes, for real! But it's also the most rewarding work I've ever done because I love the dogs that I know that I'm helping. Grooming is a Labor of Love… let's not forget the "Labor."
You're probably already aware of how much work it takes to groom a dog well, so I'm sure you're passionate about it.
