- Review of the P-Bandai Exclusive MG Gundam F90 (Mars Zeon Type). Background wise the unit is a stolen gundam f90 unit 2 by the mars zeon forces and been modified. Performance does technically out perform the regular F90 but is no longer capable of using the mission packs. Overall build structure is similar to the previous mg gundam f90 but does have some internal and outer changes as well. Design wise there has been some zeon style design such as the spike shoulder and the cables on the neck areas.

I'm liking 'Late Universal Century' mobile suit Gunpla model kits even more than the mainstream OYW(One Year War) U.C. era model kits.
the reason why Mars Zeon captured this Gundam is because the leaders of Mars Zeon were veterans that survived the OYW, Delaz Conflict, Gryps Conflict and Neo Zeon Wars who helped/witnessed Nu Gundam push Axis in UC0093
in original manga, Bosch literally captured it because he thought that F90 unit 2 has psychoframe .
If i had played that game id be thrilled to have this model of it. Lining and some pointy hard hobby qtips would probably bring out the scale more. thanks for reviewing.
I'll get this soon enough. The vanilla F90 is cool and probably my favorite F90 but this one isn't far behind, plus in my eyes a Zeon Gundam doesn't come around often so this would hold more value, especially a Zeke Gundam in UC 120! lucky for us a couple Zabi factions fled to Mars because of the OYW and the other wars, so the only Zeons around are them and they're not in earth sphere. Dope kit. The rifle is awesome too. Touching on the lore, I am pretty sure this Gundam has Char Aznable's A.I. personality matrix downloaded into the computer. The Federation recovers this Gundam eventually after a hard won fight to get it in the Mars sphere.
you know, it's a shame that bandai put ak47 beam rifle on regz custom instead of this f90 mars zeon

Funny you mentioned the pilot was seen in CCA. When I first saw the announcement of this kit I immediately thought about a Nu gundam F-90 variant. I personally got two off P-B and am planning to kit bash them with my regular F-90s and F-90IIs(will be shipped in a few months). I think what I will do is to have one kit to have the same style of shoulder armor ( I prefer the left one without the spike). I am even thinking about modding the head of this to look more like Nu. Personally I much prefer the head sculpt of this version and the F-90II compared to the F-90's. But in terms of the overall aesthetic I think F-90 is the best among all 3. That's exactly why I have multiple copies of each variants.
PS: It is a bummer to know that the front skirt has very limited movement due to its shapes.. I still haven't built mine. But thanks for the info.
The F90II has a particular face sculpt, I feel between the F90 and F91 unmasked. It's either hit or miss. I personally really like it but I remember a time where I found it weird
@@gundamfacts Honestly the F90II head has grown on me in the last few years. Back in the 90s I remember getting really turned off by the concept art ( that was the time when I had my no grade F90). I don't recall not liking the head sculpt of that old F90 at the time. When comparing the new MG version to the old it is clearly that the new one is superior in terms of details and balance. But the overall shape of the head is a lot fatter than the old one. The mouth piece together with the thicker head makes it looks kind of 'piggish' in my eye, which is not a good thing. The wide angle v-fin also is quite unappealing in my opinion. F90II's head just look more wholesome and properly menacing.
If the Mars version's head doesn't have that tall mohawk I would like it even than the F90II's.

Love me some F90 too, but I still can't fine some momentums to build this kit. Yet another box reserved to rot for a decade.
Same (mostly because I find sanding boring... it's a really really boring process). But I do want to get these kits because they are hard to find sometimes.
Hey I'm getting one of these I'm very curious is there any leftover parts of the original f90 in there that will let me use the other packs for it

@@marasai426 because if the spare parts can make the packs compatible at least to an extent I'll go ahead and grab myself a pack as well to throw on to it at the same time since eBay will ship them together
Is this compatible with the mission packs?
@otakusage123 its been a while since I touched this, but technically speaking the ms itself is not supposed to be.
A lot of mission packs have shoulder parts and as you can see there are some major changes. So some customization is required.
Mind if I ask how come you don't panel line your gunpla? It will pop out more especially if your doing reviews on it

was really planning on getting this from a store nearby me but the looks are ok but the price was stupid 120$ plus tax stupid P Bandai
Why didn't you order this when it was available on P-B website for 50 bucks? P-B US is very accessible these days I just don't get why people still complain other than those super sought after kits being sold out in a few seconds on their site. Unless you do not live in the US nor anywhere that has P-B official coverage.
