He was spitting this whole interview. That comment “If I saw why me to this, I have to say why me to that”. To have accomplished that much and be so grounded is amazing.
Prime is such a "real" dude. He speaks from the heart and it touches you, that is a talent. I'm taking his words to heart in this moment while I'm going through it. "Why me?" was something I would always say to myself whenever things go wrong for me, which seems to be all the time. But hearing Deion talk about what he went through and never saying those words, that hits hard in "here"
Deion doesn’t do things the way I’d do them, but there’s no denying he 1) cares about his kids, 2) is obsessed with winning, 3) is an exceptional communicator, & 4) teaching his kids to be good men.
I love to see deion Sanders help these kids. When he talks, they listened to his every word. All races and walks of life. We need more big names being examples for young men and women. Human excellence.
Deion has made this Colorado program do a complete 180 from last year so quickly to the point that they were able to have ESPN come do First Take on their campus by their THIRD GAME! I’m so excited to see how much Colorado does this season 🔥

I’m a longtime FSU fan, and growing up Deion was my favorite player. I’ve always known Deion was a real one, and I think he is going to change how college football coaches view their position. Going forward, coaches will need to be able to relate to their players more, and that’s going to have a lot do with Deion’s style of coaching.
I was there when Deion started coaching back in 2007 and 2008 when our sons played in the Frisco, TX football league. Our team’s practice on the same fields in Frisco.
Yep... My dad was a coach for 27+ years and folks often wondered how he was always able to have the most discipline team that loved and respected him as if he was their dad...without ever cursing at them!
I also want to add. I never watched college football in my 55 years of living but I have been watching Deion and Colorado Buffs from the beginning wayyyy before the spring game. Lets go Buffs.

When they bring up 1 of his kids he ALWAYS mentions ALL of his kids 💙💪🏾
Just the boys
he mentioned his daughter @@r0ku4
Sanders is a National Treasure, we need more of him on TV. Everyone on set wearing shades supporting prime is iconic .
Coach Prime is an authentic, flawed (as we all are), and sincere human being. It's quite refreshing to see someone talk so candidly and not mince his words in his position. Much respect.
Authentic?😂😂😂😂
He needs to grow up
@@robr7200 and what is grown up? That's y'all problem, you are so insecure, you are triggered by a confident person. Good luck with that.
He's the Master P of College football
If you are a coach prime fan or not, you can’t deny he’s a football, entertainer, and marketing genius in one.
Yep, he definitely showed up for his Marketing 101 class😊
Marketing genius for sure
The only people denying that are people with hate in their heart. Something else going on in their lives to hate on him
He is The Best Coach in all of sports Right Now!
You forgot the most important one…leader.
Deion is a standup guy. I wish him and his team the best.
What is it exactly that makes you so irrate about how this Indigenous Man communicates with these ball players from all walks of life I"d bet that there's something you're great at, but this ain't it.
Coach Prime makes me want to suit up and go out there on the football field....and I'm a woman who graduated from college in the 1990s. What an inspirational coach!
MEEEE TOOOO
Same!!!!
1990s is funny.. you still got it though momma
Crazy thing is, a few days before Norvell said what he said, Coach Sanders praised him. That’s wild
Norvell praised him minutes before that clip. It was an all time dumb move to add that bit on the end.
Prime is a man on a mission and a man with a purpose. Coaching is truly his calling, the way he inspires the youth is incredible. Not just a X’s and O’s football coach, a life coach too. That man has many gems to give ✅
Coach Prime is a marketing genius.. And so many network host love him... They will have him and the team on all season long.. He will have to turn away many kids next year...
It’s been like that since he was at jsu 😂
He'll leave if his kid goes to the NFL
He is going to get a lot of transfers. He knows what he's doing.
@carsonwentz8301 not leaving because he will have too many recruits coming, and he want's to prove he can get to a D1 championship.
Coach Prime also puts more eyes on his players and the players know that too.Loving it
Man so many people forget Prime is a talker but this man always backs up what he says as a player and a coach. This is who he is and it’s great for the sport of college football
I as, with a mind of "Family nurtured admonition, of Coach Jay's mother, for instilling in him..."THAT SPECIFIC ADMONISHMENT , for when speaking to other, such as..(Take off you hat, and glasses, if wearing any). Yet, that's a trait of honor/respect, etc, that HIS MOTHER TAUGHT HIM, which doesn't PERCIPATE disrespect, that he MAY FEEL, Deion is giving, and or promoting. One has to measure one's statement's, with moral, religious, or SELF BELIEF standards, not what one feels is an, "earthly, religious, moralistic, etc..measure of a standard.. UNTO OTHERS.
Should someone because of ME in THIER PRESCENCE, take of their hat and shades..AT THE BEACH, when Im speaking with him/her/them. What about, when I'm in my car at a traffic stop, talking across to them, from my car., and so on and son and so on? Jay failed to bring about the what is the failure to observe standards or show due honesty or modesty; improper language, behavior, or character, while having GLASSES AND A HAT ON, inclusively?
Deion you're so blessed! I thank God for you! You are brought to the kingdom for such a time as this! Blessings my brother!
Love how you can hear some fan in the back at the 0:11 mark yell out; "HEY F*CK THAT GUY!"🤣😂😭
😂😂
😂😂😂
The passion he said it with had me rolling😂😂😂
😂😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Prime is making money for the school, money for the players, but most of all, he's making memories for all the students on that campus and the fans who've been thru the dark days, and I personally think that's one of his his most important contributions in all of this.
What kinds of memories would those be? Beating TCU and Nebraska, two down teams? Let's see what they do against Oregon, SC, UCLA, and Oregon St before we rush to conclusions.
@@RobbieStacks90lol they doubled their win total and they are on the national stage now. It’s nothing to wait and see 😂😂😂😂🤷🏿♂️
@@RobbieStacks90You gotta be some scared pissy white boy behind a keyboard. You and your race never been straight up people. Pretty sure neither one of you will be any race fair and square at anything honestly..so all y'all can do is "speak down on others" steal and destroy/kill
He making money for the city too
@@RobbieStacks90 Look at the coverage Colorado is getting right now. A program that had ONE win just last season. College Gameday is going to the campus for the first time since 1996. MEMORIES ARE BEING MADE THATS A FACT.
I am not a college football fanatic but I have never been more hyped about a college football team and what they are doing! Go Univ Colorado and Coach Prime! Loving this!😊
Same here..
Last time I was hyped up for a college football team was way back in the 80’s for the Miami Hurricanes! For some reason this team has me so hyped up and I would love to see coach prime winning the national championship!
@@jorgevaladez9692 UM is my alma mater and I never attended a homecoming or any football game during my college years but I will be watching this game tonight! This is crazy! 😂
I just want infinite success for Deion and the rest of the Sanders family!
Sanders is a National Treasure, we need more of him on TV
Deion is truly one of a kind. I hang onto every word. WE BELIEVE !
They are so fun to watch. Coach Prime's energy is contagious.
Love hearing coach prime speak! What he says "resonates" with me
This was fun to watch. We were at Saturday's game against Nebraska. The energy and excitement was amazing and 100% positive on Colorado. The fans are all in for Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffs
I love Deion Sanders and how he’s shaking college football world up. Let’s go!!!!!!
He was spitting this whole interview. That comment “If I saw why me to this, I have to say why me to that”. To have accomplished that much and be so grounded is amazing.
How can you not love this man and appreciate what he's doing bringing all races together thru fanfare and football
Love that Deion always respects how hard it is to hit that ball man.
Prime is such a "real" dude. He speaks from the heart and it touches you, that is a talent. I'm taking his words to heart in this moment while I'm going through it. "Why me?" was something I would always say to myself whenever things go wrong for me, which seems to be all the time. But hearing Deion talk about what he went through and never saying those words, that hits hard in "here"
Start thinking positively about yourself. Stop professing negative thoughts. Say, nothing else will go wrong in Jesus' name, Amen.
Also make sure you empty your mind of all thinking. This is being conscious. Stay completely and totally empty of thought just for this moment.
Whatever your it is, keep God first and remain positive!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
"Im in my purpose!" Talk that talk Prime 👏🏾🙌🏾
We’re witnessing once in a lifetime Greatness right now. Decades and decades later we will still be talking about Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders
Deion and Shannon have great chemistry, hope they both get a show together one day. Would be a hit
They did. They were on nfl network Sunday recap show for awhile
@@fireblood4699 I've been sleeping it seems
@@i60s it was gold. Shannon, prime, LT(21), and somebody else. They were amazing
Deion doesn’t do things the way I’d do them, but there’s no denying he 1) cares about his kids, 2) is obsessed with winning, 3) is an exceptional communicator, & 4) teaching his kids to be good men.
And also he broke 0 rules. Let’s not forget that.
I respect people who are able to acknowledge there are different styles of leadership that are effective.
@@Hello-816this!!! This is important.
Deion is a blessing on earth! Long live Coach Prime!
I love to see deion Sanders help these kids. When he talks, they listened to his every word. All races and walks of life. We need more big names being examples for young men and women. Human excellence.
“You don’t have to be the best, you only need to give me your best” Inspiration from Prime Time,,,
This man single handedly changed the whole culture. I didn’t even know they were called the buffaloes until this year😊
Buffalo Soldiers tamed the West. Colorado, desperate; went out and got some Buffalo Soldiers to turn it around
He sure did change the culture. It will go away just as easy when he leaves for a bigger program in 2 seasons
@@kybelianlol😂 me must smile at comment..never heard of them until now or interested
I didn't know they existed. Period.
@@johannesjordaan3697y’all ignorant idiots love sayin that
Deion has made this Colorado program do a complete 180 from last year so quickly to the point that they were able to have ESPN come do First Take on their campus by their THIRD GAME! I’m so excited to see how much Colorado does this season 🔥
9 months is crazy turn around
Prime is so inspirational! This man is walking in his purpose and god is speaking through him 🙌🏾 This is bigger than sports, he is building our future leaders of men
Shannon on these platforms is amazing to see! I love have a HOF being a host
It's not a black crowd... it's not a white crowd... it's a buffalo crowd. I love this man.
Loved that part 💯
Funny how only Black folks make unifying statements even though we don’t control the institutions that cement generational institutionalized racism.
Out of the abundyof the heart, the mouth speaks
Couldn't be a better move by first take. I love it
I have always loved Deion Sanders since I was little. He has always been magnificent to me. After 30 years; nothing has changed ❤❤❤❤.
Haters will hate. This man is a blessing from God. The story about the 7 buses of kids touched my heart. Amazing! Absolutely amazing.
Did you see the comment upthread from a former player who was on one of those buses? He confirmed that CP is exactly who he says he is. 😊❤
@@smy250 yes I did. I'm not surprised about the goodness of Coach Prime. I met him when he played for the Cincinnati Reds.
Imagine watching this, and hearing Mad Dog talk about he hopes he loses because he's tired of him. Tired of this positivity?
This is probably one of the most comfortable interviews that I have seen Stephen A and Shannon in, period. Good times talking with your friend and getting paid for what you enjoy!
1994 was the best year of football I’ve ever seen & it was surely all because of Deion Sanders 🔥🔥 “Must Be The Money”
3:31 the way he started grinning when he started to get asked about Shad. Made me smile from cheek to cheek too seeing that
Coach prime is very inspirational. Everything he says is motivating.
Man, this whole segment was so entertaining and funny to watch! Could listen to these 3 all day
Lol I love the slight diss
Always been a fan of Coach Prime, he embodies the phrase, 'Carpe Diem' the way he exudes self belief and determination is inspiring, I'm not surprised at all that young men want to play for him.
This right interview or what ever u call it was wayyyyyy better than any press conference, they asked all the right questions ❤ blessings to Deion, his family and this CU squad
RIGHT!!!!!
This guy is a living iconic legend
This man has proved everyone that he can entertain anyone without using derogatory words ❤️
And they are about to get whooped by Colorado
I just can’t say enough Prime: “It’s a WE thing!” How refreshing to hear. Love seeing him keep it fun, make it about bringing your best and welcoming all willing to have faith and be inclusive. I’m a 🐊 who is an unabashed fan of Buff nation and Coach Prime.
Man Deon motivates your personal life.
Just BELIEVE!
Gotta give it to Deion. He is THE MOST CHARISMATIC COACH in football 🏈
Inspiring. Not just about football. You can apply this on all levels. Thanks Prime!
Coach is a special person.
I was there when Deion started coaching back in 2007 and 2008 when our sons played in the Frisco, TX football league. Our team’s practice on the same fields in Frisco.
I,also, love that Coach Prime isn’t ashamed to profess his faith and doesn’t use profanity.
Yep... My dad was a coach for 27+ years and folks often wondered how he was always able to have the most discipline team that loved and respected him as if he was their dad...without ever cursing at them!
@@islandehawaii I wish that more coaches would be like Coach Prime and your dad.
