He was so good. I grew up watching him and he helped lead my niners to Super Bowl 5. Never seen anything like him at corner. Shut down?!!! Qb’s wouldn’t throw in his direction. He also had the best recovery speed I’ve ever seen. He goated qb’s into thinking receivers were open by playing 5 yards back and then he would accelerate and pick the ball literally every time. Only person he had trouble covering was his teammate jerry ride another GOAT and he said they were made of the same DNA and Jerry got him one of his rings along the playmaker Michael Irvin another HOF’r. Neon Deon! People forget that nickname…..
I've often used Deion to teach people about confidence. People would say he was cocky so I taught them the difference. A cocky corner would get burned and act like they're elite whereas Deion was elite because he shut down everybody. So he was confident in the abilities he truly had.
@@zlinedavid I would agree he toed the line then. Now he's just a cocky coach. His confidence created a Dunning-Kruger effect as a coach. Where in one aspect of the game he is an elites confident athlete & in another area of that same game, he is cocky. He all9wed his confidence in a small aspect of the game disrupt his overall abilities within the game. He thinks he knows it all because he can do one small thing within a broader concept. His once confident posture has kept him back as a coach. The kids he coaches are suffering because of his own inability to lead because he won't properly prepare himself to coach.
you can see Payton is really a real lover of the game and a student of the game. He was genuinely soaking up everything PrimeTime was teaching him. Legenda
In 1994 during the off season there were rumors of Dean Sanders being courted by the Denver Broncos. I was a Broncos season ticket holder and I called and left a message for then owner Pat Bowlen that I was willing to renegotiate my ticket prices up by an extra $200 per year IF they were to sign him. I really felt he was that much of an impact player!
Deion Sanders in space with the football, no matter where he was on the field, was always a touchdown just waiting to happen. This segment also gave me a little insight into Peyton. He was not just a quarterback, but he was also an athlete, as well. He took Dion coaching, and executed it pretty well without a lot of repetition.
Other then Jordan, Deion Sanders is my fav athlete of all time and it’s closer then ya would think. I love that dude. I am a panthers fan, Tar Heel fan and braves fan. And I do the Deion shuffle when I truly get excited. When he pulled it out at the end in slow mo this video was complete for me. Deion, never change, good luck in Colorado and thanks for all the memories. It was a pleasure.
@@scottb3034 Right. Deion is the best CB of all time. But Ed Reed is the best DB of all-time. Ed Reed had no weakness to his game. He could hit hard, he had rare, God-given instincts to force turnovers, he was fast (check me, but I think the 2 longest interception returns in NFL history are both by Ed Reed), and he was a leader. Go watch the video of Tom Brady and Bill Belicek talking about Ed Reed.
@@believer7280 Yes that is correct and barring a return on a hail mary type throw they aren't likely to be beaten. While you aren't wrong to say Ed, personally I would put Rod Woodson (who if you can believe it was arguably more dynamic taking the ball away than Ed and as good taking them back for scores AND he was pro bowl caliber at CB and FS) and Lott ahead of him. Ed is clearly the best pure Safety though....only Sharper was ever as dynamic but he wasn't the tackler Reed was nor leader.
For the love of God make more of this type of content! I was lucky and watched Deion live at Florida State- that man was not just fast, not just hype, he was electric. Athletic IQ off the charts. And maybe, just maybe, the best FSU alum ever. Nobody just 'liked' Prime Time, (some hated him) we LOVED him. He talked the talk to a hall of fame level, and backed up 99% of that. Name another player that did that, on THAT level, in multiple sports. Bring the hate if you can.
I remember when he went through the combine and his college career and honestly I enjoy his new role of coach and how he’s teaching these kids to be men
Prime played multiple sports, hit a homerun and scored a touch down in the same 24 hour window, retired, returned, won multiple titles with multiple teams, ran a 4.2 40 and 10 100, ran track, played defense, offense, and special team. -Winning two Super Bowl titles (XXIX and XXX)1. -Being named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 19941. -Earning eight Pro Bowl selections and six first-team All-Pro honors12. -Recording 53 interceptions throughout his career2. -Making consecutive Super Bowl appearances with the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys Often known as the GOAT of CB.
not really, his father was an NFL QB and probably had enough clout to force his son into the starting QB spot on every team...typically the starting QB only plays that position on the team.
Peyton and Eli Manning were trained by their dad to be a QBs since they were both kids. And neither one had the athleticism and speed to play defense. Their dad Archie was a pretty quick QB though.
Deion Sanders! Smart, funny, confident, talented, motivational. Contrary to many of my friends, I have always considered Deion to be the best. I am glad to see he is still competing as a coach in Colorado.
If there’s ever been a better shutdown corner than Deion, I’ve never seen him. Sure Revis, Cromartie and Ramsey are up there, but Deion was the first corner in league history that literally took away half the field. I’m a huge Deion fan from way back when, but even I’ll admit, Hester took the KR crown.

Prime was that thin line between cocky and confident.
Peyton Manning..A True Legend 4 Humanity☝🏼♥️
you can see Payton is really a real lover of the game and a student of the game. He was genuinely soaking up everything PrimeTime was teaching him. Legenda
This had me laughing more than I expected. Thank you for sharing!
Two way player? Hell he played TWO sports really well
Deion Sanders in space with the football, no matter where he was on the field, was always a touchdown just waiting to happen.
This segment also gave me a little insight into Peyton. He was not just a quarterback, but he was also an athlete, as well. He took Dion coaching, and executed it pretty well without a lot of repetition.
Oh man! I've been inside that stadium. I love "Peyton's Places"--such a fun show.
They both were great, this son's throws are good
I've been watching Shedeur at CU. He's consistently accurate with his throws.
Greatest DB of all time and the greatest QB of all time!
Greatest CB* (the DB positions have different roles) and a great QB*. Joe Montana is the greatest QB.
@@scottb3034 Yeah, my secondary would be Reed, Lott, Deion, Rod Woodson. Woodson has a lot of picks.
@@believer7280 Lots of picks, house calls and forced fumbles.
Anyway, that secondary can't be beat. Cheers.
1:05 😂 Peyton likes that 😂
I love how confident Deion was. Wayne says confidence is stain they can’t wipe off. It’s true with him
Great video! Peyton had trouble even getting in the stance! 😂😂😂 Makes Coach Prime look young despite him being around 12 years older!
Nah xD "Nomaha! Nomaha!" had me dead 8:15
Good stuff...two legends✊🏾
For the love of God make more of this type of content!
I was lucky and watched Deion live at Florida State- that man was not just fast, not just hype, he was electric. Athletic IQ off the charts. And maybe, just maybe, the best FSU alum ever. Nobody just 'liked' Prime Time, (some hated him) we LOVED him. He talked the talk to a hall of fame level, and backed up 99% of that. Name another player that did that, on THAT level, in multiple sports. Bring the hate if you can.
Bo Jackson. Huge fan of both though, so not really hating. Just saying. 💯
I remember when he went through the combine and his college career and honestly I enjoy his new role of coach and how he’s teaching these kids to be men
This was worth the watch. Two legends in an epic venue. Prime and Peyton looking good.😎🤘
Crazy to see Deion in cleats and running around. Sucks he got blood clots love to see him moving like that.
I was kinda sad when Peyton said he's going to retire, but it was worth it for this.
Deion the GOAT 🐐
With 1 1/2 feet.
this is amazing. prime time is gold. nice concept of getting peyton with some of the all time greats in this format mixing humor and interviews
-Making consecutive Super Bowl appearances with the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys
Often known as the GOAT of CB.
It's actually crazy Peyton never played any defensive position in his LIFE
is it actually crazy tho??😂😂
Crazy?? 😂😂
not really, his father was an NFL QB and probably had enough clout to force his son into the starting QB spot on every team...typically the starting QB only plays that position on the team.
Peyton and Eli Manning were trained by their dad to be a QBs since they were both kids. And neither one had the athleticism and speed to play defense. Their dad Archie was a pretty quick QB though.
7:02 Deion's touchdown dance will always be better than the griddy.
Deion is my all time favorite DB…Just fun to watch when he is on defense and offense! Are we going to see another Primetime in the NFL someday..?!
i got to listen to you guys (Manning fam) on super bowl sunday at the morning verizon event and I’ve just got to say, I could listen to you guys and your dad talk all day really glad to have you all around
