Wow this is so awesome! The realistic size of planets and the solar system, the terrain slowly coming into view the closer you get, and the heat coming off the space ship as you break the atmosphere. Y’all are doing a great job, I can’t wait to play!
It's crazy how much this game has changed and evolved since I found it when you were just testing splitscreen lol, when this is done, I legitimately think this is worth publishing!

wow - simple but procedural planets (ah its Voxel Plugin) - smooth animation and actions good music - nice interface - pleasent render - and overall feel is "Solid" This can be awesome - if gameplay won't be bad My deep Respect to developers team!
it's insane how you just fly around with no loading screens etc. and you can fly in the space, approach planet and just land on it. I love that way. Wow plus i cant believe it that this game is being made since 2016

A tutorial on how you got directional gravity and seamless space to planet working in UE4 would be amazing. Been sorta keeping up on these updates and the more and more I watch them it makes me wanna learn it myself! Keep up the good work as always :D

Wow, clicked on unreal engine on twitter on a whim, then I see this game and then I had to deep dive to see your journey! This game looks incredible!! Really liking the art direction and gameplay so far! Some questions, 1. Now that next gen consoles are releasing soon with new technology, do you plan to wait for Unreal Engine 5 so you can create even larger scale worlds than you are already, taking advantage of the SSD loading times, lighting and whatever else was in that demo? 2. Do you plan on having all of the Gas Giant moons landable eventually or just the famous ones such as The Gallieans, Titan and maybe just a few others? 3. Will Subsurface Oceans feature in the game on the moons that have them? Alongside Submarines, and alien aquatic life? 4. Can you walk around your ship and freighter and customize the interior? 5. Will Pluto, and the Oort cloud be in the game along with other dwarf planets like Ceres? 6. Is there going to be a survival or permadeath mode? 7. You already shown Dust storms on Mars, which I'm guessing can coat your ship and equipment but can it damage it too, Say if you're out delivering a package from the city, a storm kicks up, and your engines get clogged causing them to malfunction and crash? 8. I seen space stations throughout the videos I watched, and love the variety from really big ones, to space diners. Sure will try ue5 but atm. ue4 is just fine for what we need - the way we've built the world it's 1 level and there's no loading screens except initial load up of the game. 2. All moons are landable, gas giants are the only celestial objects that are not landable in the solar system. 3. We'll be doing water and underwater stuff, yes, but we're not quite there yet. 4. Yes. 5. Oort cloud maybe, Pluto and Kepler belt and Ceres and the Main asteroid belt is already in the game. 6. It's not really a survival game, so probably not. 7. That's a cool idea, maybe! 8. Maybe! 9. Yes 10. Would love to have that in the game, but it's going to be very hard to render, but we will look into it. Glad you're excited about the game, and totally agree, the solar system is awesome! Olympus Mons is one of my favorite places as well :D

I figure the constant storms while cool, will always be going on and may make the game unplayable, but honestly 8 Planets, the amount of moons we have now, asteroids and space station gives so much variety already, leaving the Gas Giants to just be orbit friendly would be fine, and maybe something for the future. It is very cool! What is the area and radius of this planet? Is it done procedurally in the engine itself or manually in a 3d editor? I'm just also interested in the topic of creating planets. Therefore, I would be interested to know about your experience.
Just an advice, man. Titan has continuous layer of thick brown clouds, neither Saturn nor the sun is seen through it, nothing at all. Also temperature there is −179 °C and you shown it as a warm desert.
There's some lore reasons why it's greenish, has to do with aliens 😄 did change it a bit since the video though to be more yellowish green. Appreciate the feedback!
@@MoonmenGames there is a serious problem about all those Saturn's and Jupiter's moons. All of them consist 50% of ice. If some aliens warm them up, they would all melt and become sea-planets which evaporate into space fast. The ONLY non-ice large satellites are the Moon and Io. They are rocky. All others are ice, they can't exist other way rather being frozen.

@@MoonmenGames I looked there, it's a forum with 100 voices where I get lost. I hate crowds. Hate being in a scrapheap looking places, chats. Quited right away. "Titans surface look pretty rocky from the pics" - that is why science exists. To understand and distinguish things. You may think these are rocks but on practice they would probably melt on -100 °C because it's ammonia or something. That is why you can't trust picks. Space is a thing of rough knowledge, you must learn it, read about it and never trust your own guesses, they will always be wrong because space is not something we have personal experience at. Just take wiki and read: "Titan is primarily composed of ice and rocky material, which is likely differentiated into a rocky core surrounded by various layers of ice, including a crust of ice and a subsurface layer of ammonia-rich liquid water." I may say I don't like that fact too. I would also prefer to see moons rocky and colonizeable. But they are not.
This is actually incredible. I think the only thing that may need a bit of tweaking are the astronaut animations, I feel like they could be smoother. That’s about all I can say may need work to be honest, everything else is brilliantly well done. You should be really proud of yourself for creating this masterpiece. I really don’t know much about animation at all so I’m not one to give good advice about it. For the walking animation, I feel like it doesn’t really match with the speed he is going if that makes sense, maybe add more frames to the animation? However, now that I rewatch it all the other animations seem good, I don’t know if you’re planning on implementing this but I think an animation of him climbing out the ship would be great. I know you’re a team of professionals and my skillset does not even come close to yours, so my apologies if what I say doesn’t make sense. I recommend posting this video on the official UE4 subreddit, often times there are many people with great ideas and advice from the likes of professionals. I wouldn’t worry about anything else in the game though, everything else is perfectly done.

Very cool. I think its better you focus on small solar system like ours rather than something like no man sky where there many solar systems but not best as there is no hand crafted element.

It's 1:5 the scale of the real life moon of Titan. I used the voxel plugin in ue4 to generate the planet from a heightmap of Titan 🙂

I know you’re a team of professionals and my skillset does not even come close to yours, so my apologies if what I say doesn’t make sense. I recommend posting this video on the official UE4 subreddit, often times there are many people with great ideas and advice from the likes of professionals. I wouldn’t worry about anything else in the game though, everything else is perfectly done.

Very cool. I think its better you focus on small solar system like ours rather than something like no man sky where there many solar systems but not best as there is no hand crafted element.
How big are your planets? Earth is around 636000000 Unreal units (Distance) for reference.

Amazing work! Subbed and following this. I have two questions, 1.does the planets are handcrafted or procedurally generated? There's a road map with planned features, story or anything that we could learn more about the game?
Thanks! The planets are semi procedurally generated, but using a heightmap - they're generated with help from the voxel plugin for UE4. And there's no road map atm. but you can check out our website for little more info on the game: moonmengames.com/

Question, How did u get the specific green/ bright glow? it's like there is volumetric fog or something, it looks awesome and I would really love to know how to do so.
