You guys did a great job removing those carriage Bolts, but one thing, I have found that works for me in this same situation with that grinder.Simply cut a fairly deep slit in it and find yourself the largest flathead screwdriver you can to hold it
God if u made a day long video i will watch it . And veeey glad to have you back man. Love the builed . U guys work like my two years old girl walks , she doesn't have an idea where is she going but she walks with so much confidence . Best of luck
Hahaha! What a sweet and funny compliment. We definitely don’t know quite what we’re doing but we’ll figure it out one way or another. Thank you for your support!
You should cover all the naked wood with Red Guard. It a paint on membrane to save your wood. Could have saved some money and had insulation on the floor if you would have sandwiched the plywood around high density foam and it would have been stronger.
OBSERVATION...somehow, i think Steve got the best deal. I knew after seeing that man cave, he counts every penny. He will thrift stuff cheap, but wont sell it cheap. Nice guy. Great vids.
This is a good learning experience for anyone. I just stumbled onto your video and I think you are going to have a lot of fun this summer enjoying being on the water. Yes I think it's an ambitious project but it's already looking like you are working through the plan. Good job so far and good luck.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Guys this is cool. And I have almost the exact same story happening at the same. Right down to the drive up 89 with a 30 foot pontoon boat at 40mph. In a snowstorm! I will watch all your vids and would be glad to connect if there is a way to reach you. Great videos, by the way.
Hope this works for you… I’ll keep on watching (just like I did for the truck build) and watch your “OJT boat building” vids. 😊 Too late now, but FWIW, double 3/4” plywood is way more than you need for the floor if you have those PVC sheets; double a 1/2” & a 3/8” would be more than enough strength. Can also buy “marine grade” plywood that’s a lot better for this application. Hope you frame your walls with pressure treated wood… & not full-on 2x4s (also too much weight for a pontoon boat)… 1x3s will do just fine. PVC sheets will make decent rot-proof wall sheeting (not drywall).
We're fools if we listen to the advice from a fool. We often times don't know people are fools but we hear them give their options and it means something that it shouldn't.
So, these pontoons don’t have the typical multiple sealed chambers? I wouldn’t build on this pontoon chassis if someone paid me to take it away. The best part of owning a pontoon boat, with chambered pontoons, is that they’re more unsinkable than the Titanic. Having said that, I’m going to follow you folks so I can plagiarize ideas for my own houseboat.
Could make 2 hour long videos and I’d watch it all
Same, i love this guy 😂
Literally tho absolutely awesome videography, great editing, amazing narration, it reminds me of old youtube when so many videos had this same spark

Good to know! 😅
Thank you so much! That means the world to me. Glad you enjoyed 🤠 More to come soon
