Don't be depressed, be strong against evilness! We feel you! History shows that evil never lasts for ever! 🍉♥! That hardship we all live in can be overcome but I don't know if the revolution word really means something tangible!

Much love from occupied Dharug country (sydney)
I'm totally in for ending all murder and having realist discussions about difficult topics.
I liked that you identified the topic of abortion as one which is dominated by reaction rather than deep consideration (at least in the public forums)

Your definition of revolution makes no mention of violence. Most revolutions and liberation movements involved violence, though. Algeria, Vietnam etc, not to mention Palestine. The historical record indicates that morality itself is actually the biggest justification for violence. I have the impression that striving for moral purity is dangerous in itself and can easily lead to the dictatorship of virtue, like in the later stages of the French revolution, for example. Modernity itself, which demands of people to become moral agents, rather than just subjects, has unleashed a horrific amount of violence. I'm not sure I fully understand your position, but it sounds like an updated version of the modern dream of creating heaven of earth. The implementation doesn't have a great track record.

You have missed the point entirely.
      Israel is a terrorist state.

"The truth of what your saying, as you sit there sipping beer, is pain and death and suffering but of course you wouldn't care" crass - bloody revolution

There are a few instances of peaceful revolutions:
      1. Glorious revolution
      2. American Civil rights movement
      3. People power revolution
      Etc.
But of course, this only happens if the people in power are sane. It's too idealistic to expect every revolution to be achieved peacefully. Palestinians tried, it failed.

All our political positions correspond but I gave up being as passionate as you are because it made me hate everyone around me and I couldn’t function in society, I became a recluse, always depressed and altogether led a worse life. Didn’t compromise on veganism etc. but stopped talking about it to anyone and tried my best to not be passionate.

@@michellenorris8471 Yes but its not just individualised limits, its circumstantial too. I would say the socio-political circumstances i live in make the effects a bit more pronounced than someone living in ‘the West’. Im not simply weaker than you are

We must continue to email or write to our government representative to request an urgent humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza in line with international humanitarian law.
This takes 2 minutes, thank you.

The veganism bit is very judgmental, though, without considering the socio-economic situation of different places. For an example, a few archipelagic countries rely on seafoods and farm animals because they simply have limited access to plant-based foods. I will give you an example that vegan products in Indonesia is more expensive than animal products and only the privileged are able to consistently go on a vegan diet.
