I have driven Harrier and XUV700 both and I can confirm clutch and steering of Harrier is hard and XUV700 is so quick to get speed.
I too drove XUV 700 and it didn't gave the feel that I was driving a big car. Things were quick and smooth.

The best thing which i liked is that even after the 7 seats are raised the boot space is 200 litre

Thanks for the informative video on XUV700. I have an unique question on the petrol engine fuel types. I have recently come to know that Jeep Compass and even Volkswagen Taigun/T-Roc have limitations in the ethanol based fuel type only supporting till E10 and anything over 10% mix of Ethanol would damage the engine and not compatible with the engine. This is written in their technical manual. Would XUV700 have this same problem or is their petrol engine compatible with flex fuels?

Pros are good but you should have pointed out few flaws as well instead of hiding or not exposing.

I want a pure cons based video on this, because lets be honest there are some.. if you can make a video then great
Only real cons will be lack of ventilated seats, auto dimming IRVM, non-sliding second row seats, powered tailgate and long-term durability of the high technology involved. Other than these missing features (which anyway are not deal breakers) and realiability of high-tech (which is just a doubt as of now and not a certainty), there are really no cons that one should worry too much about.🤷
There are no such cons in the car tbh, (this is the first time im saying this about a Mahindra car and never thought i'd say)..rather there are some missing features such as absence of Auto dimming IRVM, ventilated seats (although it might be added in the facelift), paddle shifters( not as such needed as the gearshifts in automatic too are pretty fast), no sliding second row seats. Mahindra has thrown everything they had and could in this car.
The manual versions have a very light clutch (which is a good thing ig) , the gearbox is a bit notchy and you have to complete the throws.

Major comparisons required is with Safari and the most awaited one.
There's no comparison with Safari. XUV is either superior or equal in almost all aspects. In comparison to Safari, Xuv has more powerful engines, petrol option, AWD, ADAS, huge touchscreen, 5* safety, FSD, DSC and a lot more technology. In reality Safari is overpriced and under specced compared to XUV. If you have the budget, you can buy XUV eyes closed.

I've Xuv700 AX7 Automatic Petrol. I got tank to tank average exactly 12.1kmpl in highway. Now Trying to go beyond that too. 😊

One of the biggest disadvantage of XUV 700 is that Mahindra doesnt povide Electronic stability programme in MX and AX3 variants while Tata provides it as a standard safety feature even in basic variants of Harrier and safari. ESP starts in AX5 variant but it comes with a Sunroof which may affect the stuctural strength and safety of the vehicle. Mahindra should have provided the ESP atleast in the AX3 variant.
Esc is provided from base model itself, esp = esc. Go and study before commenting. 🤭

U can go for the sunroof Variant as well bcz the one tested for side impact in GNCAP is with Sunroof and there is no problem in the B and C pillars which r the most affected parts bcz the ring structure what Mahindra calls is compromised to accomodate the sunroof but the cars structure integrity is not compromised

Rachit, In my test drive I observed the substantial vibration of engine on steering and on body. This vibration was practically nil in Kia Seltos. Can you throw somw light on it or a deep dive....
That may gradually lead to rattling sounds in interior plastic.

I've got 2 issues with my xuv700
1. Whenever I turn the steering wheel while the car is stationary, it makes some squeaking noises. Note this issue doesn't occur when the car is moving.
2. Rear wiper makes weird noise when enabled.
Other than that car works amazingly fine.
The AT petrol engine is refined and picks up speed effortlessly. Haven't encountered any software niggles or glitches for now

My family has booked XUV700 AX7L diesel version and we are waiting for the delivery date.
My question: How far it is safe during the rainy days to have the exhaust pipe facing the ground. I am concerned about it 😟 and no one in the review has so far clarified. Pl clarify Rachit.
Doesn't matter where your exhaust pipe faces..in fact if it faces towards the ground its gonna be helpful as the water won't be going as well towards the engine. Companies do alot of reasearch and development before launching a vehicle they won't do such silly mistakes.Just go and buy the car its fabulous.
