I really enjoyed watching this video. I am a massage therapist and interested in learning more techniques on assisted stretches for the body. You make it look so easy with your fluency!!! Thank you!
Hey, thank you so much Kristy! I’m working on an online course for massage therapists.! Please reach out if you are interested in the course when it gets released: holistretch@gmail.com
@@Holistretch NASM CPT/CES, LMT with a focus on Traditional Thai Massage and I completed my 200 Hour Teacher training. For Thai I was taught to have the client be completely passive, no PNF or contract relax techniques, but I’m taking notes from your routine.
@@markmirabella4066 Ahh that is so awesome!! I just completed my 200hr in Thai massage, Yoga & Ayurveda, so you will likely be seeing more passive, energetic/lymphatic flow work in my videos. I love to include all of the modalities I’ve learned. Keep in touch!
I am thinking of trying this. I am not very flexible and that brings a question to mind. While this would be my first time doing this, I am confused on whether I should have a male or female therapist. It does not matter to me but since I am not very flexible , I would think that I would need greater force applied in the normal and the angular positions. Also, being very tight I do not want to get hurt, which leads me to ask this question. Thanks for your time in advance.
Great! I am excited for you to try assisted stretching work! In my experience, it doesn't matter whether you have a male or a female practitioner - just choose whomever you feel most comfortable with. You would actually likely want to have much less force (rather than more) as your muscles get accustomed to the contraction and the stretch. You never ever want to force anything your body isn't ready for, and always communicate with your practitioner. The stretch should feel like a "5 or 6" with "1" being no stretch and "10" being inappropriately painful!
amazing stretch video, my 5’0” friend helped did this for me (I’m a 5’11” teenager) and he had a hard time doing it. But i felt very relaxed. Thank you. By the way what is the sound used in this video?
Hi, that is so wonderful to hear!!! I’m so glad you were able to practice using the video. Keep in touch about anything you would like to see. I don’t think I have the music saved- but you can try using Shazam or asking Google? 🤷🏽♀️
Here in the UK there is a company in London called Stretchlab that do this. I use this when I can and it’s bliss. V important to keep loose and supple as I have tight muscles and lower back pain.
I heard the Egyptians used to do something Similar to get to euphoric state .. to communicate with their gods .. idk I could be wrong it’s what I heard but all I know is when I stretch it feels good I can only imagine how good it must feel with a professional that knows her job and what to do .. and a Egyptian lol
Hmm.. I love this lol. I def like to channel Cleopatra and Isis vibes when I practice my healing work and my cat is always nearby sharing her healing energy, too! Our body is absolutely miraculous, and I definitely believe that a good massage, stretch or energy healing session connects us deeper to God.
@@Holistretch well I actually live on the other side of the country in Alabama but we are taking a road trip up the west coast this summer I would love to book an appointment when it gets closer what are your rates is this something insurance would cover ?
I had got kind of into stretching and was experimenting with yoga and Pilates and I had this lady at the gym who was working with me showing me how and I liked working with her because she was tall and and idk I’m like 5’8” she wa probly like 5’11 atleast and idk I liked her tall frame and she had like a relaxing voice idk I liked the feeling when she would help me stretch cuz I think she had a calm aura. Because even if it’s a pretty girl I’m sketchy most of the time about strangers touching my body usually I have to go slow but you seem like you have that same relaxing vibe going on
Surprised you got any traction using those sockets, also Mr Fish looks very bendy and relaxed from the get go (good for him), would be good to have more videos like this, but with patients in a less ideal state, so that you can show how they are/move/stand before and after the session.
@@DKPOWA Thank you for the feedback! He does have good hip flexibility, but injured shoulders with lack of mobility there. I could do a better job of showing that, definitely 🙌🏼💫

How would you describe this type of therapy??
In general it is called bodywork, but what I do is a blend of massage and assisted stretching. Mainly what you see is resistance stretching.:)
