Thank you for showing the day planner, it is pretty cool, but I don't have that many tasks in a day too. And I like making my planner pretty with stickers too.
We received this planner at Go Wild. I love the idea of washi storage for the box. I will definitely give it a try. 😍
Wow that is a nice bit of swag! I would have love to go to Go Wild one of these years! Have you tried the Day Designer yet?
I had 4 Classic DDs before switching to my HP. The DD pages don't lend themselves to stickers or much decorating which is why I made the change. They are great for a very functional planner and hold up very well.
Thank you for your comment of the quality! I agree this planner is best for functional planning. :-)
I have a similar day designer that I keep at my work desk for my actual work appointments and schedule.
Awesome! I was thinking how it would be a great work planner too.
Great video! Really appreciated the pen test and info on the portability, thanks!
Thank you, I am glad you liked it and found it helpful! :-)
That is definitely a cute box 📦 to repurpose
YESSS, I Love that box so much LOL!
I prefer the daily Day Designers collab with Blue Sky. You can get them at Target (I ordered my new one from Amazon). It’s so helpful when I need to be functional and need to drag it around with me to appointments. I tend to write all my messy stuff in my DD or Moleskine, and then transfer into my EC.
I have seen the line at Target, it is a nice variation of this planner! I like the ability to have something that I don't need to stress about the looks and just use it functionally and then enjoy my sticker decoration in a different Planner. Get the best of both worlds! :-)
I can't seem to find them at Target anymore, but I did get one for $18 at Quill.com, but this time around I'll use a coupon and get one at Office Depot.
I had decided the other day to use a daily as well as my weekly planner, that way I can break down my tasks a bit more without crowding my planner.
Yay! Sounds like what I am looking to do! :-)
I do like that layout....that is all I need is another planner
I purchased the exact same planner that you did for this video and for the same reason as it was such a great sale. I honestly couldn't imagine spending $59 plus $15 shipping for a planner. I was able to get it off Amazon through Prime and avoided the $15 shipping that day designer was charging. I've been using it for the past couple of weeks and I still can't get the Knack of it. I have been using the blue sky day designer collaboration black stripe that has this beautiful pink Coral monthly tabs and each page is full of checklist boxes. I can't stand that the DD planner has the copyright on the bottom of every page. in addition the day designer planner does not seem to have such high quality paper as described. it's so large that it is difficult to open and close. I never had that problem with the blue sky planner. the cover though it is quite a beautiful pattern is glossy and it just reminds me of a cheap binder that one would get for school from Walmart. I have been obsessed with planners since I was a teenager and was really disappointed that the day designer planner was not as advertised. Truthfully with the planner pages that are available at bluesky.com and day designer one could just print out the pages and construct the planner that works best for them.
Michelle Adame the bluesky version is much cheaper than the traditional daydesigner planners and therefore has a lower quality paper, less durable covers and other minor changes to keep the cost low.
True, I got mine for $18 from Quill.com back in December. I'm also contemplating using a coupon and purchasing another at my local Office Depot. I WANT to love these Planners, but the writing is so light, it doesn't really invite you to use it. When they launch the 2019 planners, I know they'll be beautiful and lovely, BUT still $59+$15 shipping, which is just too high of a price point for me. I have fine paper and pens, so I can make a cheaper planner feel luxurious, I suppose.
The way you want to use this planner is exactly how I use mine. I have a weekly planner that I decorate with stickers and then I use my Classic Day Designer as my functional daily to do list. I only started this system at the very beginning of June and I have been absolutely loving it! I have had no problems with any of the pens I use and I am a pen addict so I use ALOT of different pens. I do not use Sharpie obviously. Good luck...I hope you love it as much as I do!!!
Yes the pen test surprised me, I was expecting more shadowing. So I am very excited to start using this planner now. Paring two planners together will probably solve my "planner funk". .lol
Definitely helped mine!!
