My favorite cubes are the nite ize runoff. I love that they compress and are fully waterproof so I know I’ll have clean dry clothes regardless of what happens.
Wow! I'm literally looking up videos for one bag travel to go to Japan next week, and your video just popped up at the perfect time! I'm going for 3 weeks, though, and am going to use my CTB35... Hopefully I could somehow make it work. It'll be my first time traveling with one bag...
Depends on how many trips you will be taking. Also many don't realize you can use the JR Pass on other forms of transportation. I used it for the tour bus around Hiroshima and for the ferry to Miyajima Island.
Hey Klint! Any chance you can post a side by side pic of the sun bear and 25l Northseeker? It’s saying that the Northseeker is almost 2” narrower than the sun bear. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
Just wondering-- are there any particular shops or locations in japan of note for bag enthusiasts? Your videos about shopping online for japan bags have been very interesting, so I was curious if you had any recs for in-person shopping
Yes of course! My favorite is Motoyama. But you can google search for "Kaban" in most Japanese cities and find bag stores. Additionally, it's VERY fun and rewarding to go look for bags in second hand stores. Japanese second hand stores are amazing because in general items have been very well cared for and have lots of life left. My favorite thrifting spots (national chains) are Second Street and Book Off.
What do I put in it? I put my ipad, chargers, battery backup, headphones, a few snacks, wallet, etc. In this case it’s a 15 hour flight, so all the things that I’d need w/o pulling my bag out of the overhead bin.
How tourist friendly is japan? Last time I went there, for english speakers it was very difficult to get around and do anything because of the language barrier.
I had no issues. Since the Olympics a lot of signs are in English and google is clutch - google translate for signs and menus and conversations - google maps for transit
I ended up taking the Bounce Design Labs Nexus 30
When is the Nexus 30 review coming out?
Next week
@@ThePerfectBag FIENDING FOR THIS!!!!!!!!
The sun bear is a great looking bag. Nice job designing that!
Just wondering why you decided to switch to the Nexus for this trip?
I just got back a couple of weeks ago. I just saw the video for his favorite bag shop. I'll make it a point to visit next time I go to Tokyo!!!

I watch out for those vids. Because I need a vacation right now myself. Have fun!! 👍
This is a cool set up, thanks for sharing.
Awesome. Safe travels. We returned from Japan last month. We love it. Hello from Spain. Chester
Amazing! I love Spain so much - thanks for watching!!

You got this!
Most travel / Japan vloggers are saying that the JR pass isn't really value for money now as the price has gone up significantly.
I do lots of long haul trips - which makes it a good value

Hey Klint, I was wondering--how do you feel about the evergoods packing cubes versus the peak design compression packing cubes?
I havne’t tried the Peak Design ones to be honest so I can’t tell you that.
Dude it's like you knew I was going to Japan and been shopping bags
Will u be travelling with sling bag and sunbear too? How many days in Japan?
I ended up taking the sling and the Nexus 30L - I was in Japan for 8 days.
Brother any news on restocking of the sun bear?
I don't believe there will be a restock of this bag
it looks like a suitcase :)
Indeed. It works like a suitcase, but you don't have to lug a suitcase around.
What do you fill the tote bag with during the flight?

@@ThePerfectBag Thank you!!
Where did you go in Japan? Did you try and venture further afield than the core tourist centres of Tokyo, Osaka, Nara and Kyoto?
@@TakeTheInitiative This time my trip was: Tokyo, Nagoya, Gero, Gujo-hachimon, Beppu, and Kyoto.
