I have to hand it to you - very well produced. I see I even made a cameo appearance....that was my I-16 early in the video - flat on it's back after an 'interesting' landing.
I'm sure this video was made for entertainment purposes only. It even says in the description "...teaching nothing." In which case; thumbs up. Great intro, develops nicely (although rather over-long in the development stage), very good editing in the dog-fights although the story may have flowed better with fewer double-takes, and ultimately inconclusive story, but overall, a very good bit of amateur filmmaking, I thought.
Unfortunately, the United States Air Force didn't exist when the P-40 was put into production. The Army Air Corps was a branch of the Army with ground pounder fossilized Generals in charge. The original design for the P-40 was with the radiator underneath and midship, like this craft and the P-51. But the Generals (probably from horse cavalry days) decided that the plane "looked more aggressive" with the chin radiator. And that's how they screwed that up. Still, the P-40 was a strong, serviceable aircraft and served in theaters around the world successfully.

MiG-3 was designed before WW2 as high altitude interceptor. But the reality of Blitzkrieg pushed Soviet air force use MiG-3 as a ground attack plane and low altitude fighter. In this video, you can see MiG-3 Series 24 with radio and wing slats. All series before had no radio and wing slats. Pilots often lose the fight because they cannot even warn each other of a threat. The absence of wing slats turns the low altitude fight with Bf 109E to the hopeless task, MiG-3 falls into the stalling unexpectedly. One of the most known Soviet aces Aleksandr Pokryshkin called MiG-3 "stubborn horse" in his memories. Also, MiG-3 has a too weak weapon to shoot down his main target - Ju 88. Pokryshkin said, the one set of ammunition shot into well armored Ju 88 is not enough even to seriously damage it. In addition, MiG-3 was very hard in the landing. So only very experienced Soviet pilots managed to survive that period. That is why Soviet propaganda tried not mentioning MiG-3. Too many heavy looses associate with this plane.

Excellent job. I don't have much to add, other than: 1. I expect to see a fourth red star on #5 the next time I see it, and 2. (Already answered in the credits) Where did you get AI that could fly like that? Shout out to the other talented (non-AI) pilots that participated.
It took a special kind of courage to fly out over German lines with 109s,110s and 190s swarming through out the skys, and to do so as a single aircraft…but the MiG 3 was more than enough for the job…
The MiG 3 is my favourite fighter of WW2. Beautiful lines very shapely amazing plane...who knew at the time MiG and Sukhoi the second rans would one day be the leaders of Russian Fighter and Ground Attack design.
Actually, the Mig-3 required more training to fly well. For a variety of reasons, including a scramble to make enough high octane fuel, the pilots lacked flight hours in all aircraft.
What a great episode! If you take requests, could I ask for one of these using a Ju-88? I really like that plane. Thank you, and thank you for making these war film-like episodes! John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart would have slotted right in!
UA-cam hits me with 2 unstoppable ads in a row and then 3rd ad derezzes my lo-end PC to 240... Aaah, what I go through (!) to watch a ZETEXY movie... (;-p) (Thanx, BTW)

@@zxc111yt - also no cellphone or iphone or assphone as I am allergic (as are many organic life forms) to microwaves. Ah to be young and immune to microwave fields. I will never lie to you and that smells like victory AND team spirit. Nothing personal > cellular devices.
Two minutes into the video and already I have to give you a thumbs up, Zetexy. You are that good, brother.
In the spirit of the video, the MiG-3 is my favourite Marxist pursuit aircraft in the Judeo-Bolshevik Air Force ( what that Bohemian corporal would have called it )...
Beautifully shot and made.
Really well done. Thank you for sharing.
Great camera angles and story-telling! IL-2 BoS seems like an ideal foundation for this type of content too.
Ah yes thanks youtube for recommending this to me 2 years later....... well apart from that loved every bit of this short movie

just sit back and enjoy the graphics, I did
Your amazing story telling completely hides the non-cinematic level of graphics available. It just reminds us what is really important in video making.
Thank you! But I see on your channel you are a fan of Dirt Rally too. See my tries to show this great simulator using some kind of cinematic. Only three videos fo the moment, about Audi Quattro, Lancia Stratos, and Citroën DS 2. Here is playlist ua-cam.com/video/k7sVYG6LQn0/v-deo.html
@@zxc111yt I noticed and enjoyed those videos as well ! Well done.
Excellent job. I don't have much to add, other than:
1. I expect to see a fourth red star on #5 the next time I see it, and
2. (Already answered in the credits) Where did you get AI that could fly like that? Shout out to the other talented (non-AI) pilots that participated.
Thanks for the good show.
very well done
Excellent Job! Versatile pilot to switch jobs and not just for vengeance.
It took a special kind of courage to fly out over German lines with 109s,110s and 190s swarming through out the skys, and to do so as a single aircraft…but the MiG 3 was more than enough for the job…
Awesome video, very realistic!
The MiG 3 is my favourite fighter of WW2. Beautiful lines very shapely amazing plane...who knew at the time MiG and Sukhoi the second rans would one day be the leaders of Russian Fighter and Ground Attack design.
Excellent - High Quality
Excellent!!! Very compelling... your editing is outstanding. More more more
Beautiful airplane, always wanted one.
And that little Polikarpov was years ahead when it was first introduced.
Check on ebay, one might turn up..!!
I bet anyone who can drive a farm tractor can fly one of these. Technically that's a
All it is. A flying farm tractor.
Actually, the Mig-3 required more training to fly well. For a variety of reasons, including a scramble to make enough high octane fuel, the pilots lacked flight hours in all aircraft.
Und täglich grüßt der Himmel die Todgeweihten !
Hervorragende Arbeit, Zetexy.
What a great episode! If you take requests, could I ask for one of these using a Ju-88? I really like that plane. Thank you, and thank you for making these war film-like episodes! John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart would have slotted right in!
That Would Be Nice, Very Interesting Aircraft
magnífic video i magnífics pilots. Molt real.
CHEERs..It Was GREAt, So Real ...wonderful!!!!!
I love the little human touches you add to these vids ^w^
The pilot was a real rabbit killer. Low and on the tree line. 109 lost sight of him. Pop !!!
Your videos are awsome man!
Zetexy, your vids are very special! How do you make troops/people walking around?
Froggy Frog 9000 They are not meant to be controlled by Zexety, they are controlled by AI
Well!...VERY WELL DONE! Big thanks for uploading.
Seriously, why all the hate comments? This is just art.....
Gorgeous, great!!!.., indeed awesome!!!, one of my favorite fighters, realy nice details and very detailed ordenance of Russian planes on WWII
Awsome material !!! I just subd.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Great editing and voice work as well. What kind of computer and video card are you using?
11:24 the men walks like having a turd 💩 up coming . 😂 it must have been an officer.
UA-cam hits me with 2 unstoppable ads in a row and then 3rd ad derezzes my lo-end PC to 240... Aaah, what I go through (!) to watch a ZETEXY movie... (;-p)
(Thanx, BTW)
Excellent video. Keep them coming.
Could you help someone getting back into the SIM flying? I used to "fly" in Warbirds. Looking for budget ideas for a PC, controls, etc.
Thank you! good job!
clip was piece of history
Very good!
Very creative
Magnifico trabajo. Greal work!!! Congratulations.
