"C'est dans le grand rêve de 1900 que j’aimerais vous emmener à présent avec Wagner et ses rêves - Träume - tirés des Wesendonck Lieder. En 1900 Paris reçoit l'exposition universelle et la ville lumière se transforme pour continuer d’éblouir le monde. Ces créations extraordinaires, gigantesques comme la Tour Eiffel ou le Grand Palais, sont aujourd'hui encore les témoins du génie de l'homme et de sa capacité à se dépasser. Du Grand Palais, il n'y a pour moi presque que deux mots à retenir : immensité et subtilité. Et l'art d'allier ces deux choses en apparence opposées fait la magie de cet endroit unique.
Sous le ciel de Paris, ces verrières nous emmènent dans un rêve éveillé jusqu'à ce que l'horloge nous rappelle à la réalité et nous fasse revenir de cette échappée hors du temps.

This is just sublime! It sounds as if this piece were written specifically for Camille Thomas to play; her heartfelt style captures the spirit of this music in a way that I have never heard before. No other musician has ever god such access to massive Paris locations - Congratulations to Camille for her amazing networking skills !! A true influencer. As with other videos, an excessive amount of attention is put, at video editing time, not on the instrument playing, but on the face expressions. Let us remind to the editing team that Camille is a Cello player ! Also, these videos lack some artistic direction regarding the time of the day they are filmed, and lighting. They seem to have been filmed with low dynamic range sensors, with uneven contrat / brightness tunings. And due to the massive history associated with the amazing locations where the filming takes place, music (Deutsche Grammaophon's first area of interest) goes second, and locations first.
