Did you know that the background song sang by my cousin, Carol Rodriguez. She is a native of Zamboanga City. She is the lead singer of her band and called her the Chantress queen.
An old video about Zamboanga city. Zamboanga totay are different for the past 20 Years. Today lots of shopping malls and restaurants to eats and dine. Zamboanga is growing
I visited my brother and his family in Zamboanga in 2017. I went back for Christmas 2018 and celebrated the New Year 2019. Now I'm back in Ohio preparing to sell my house and move there. I love Zamboanga, the people are so friendly, the food is great, and the scenery is beautiful. I can't wait to call Zamboanga home.
Your narration is so soothing and effortless... It adds beauty to the city tour... I shall visit this place just because the way you have presented it... Keep up the amazing work dear!! 🥰
zamboanga ,,famous as the city of flowers as i remember it,,to me is the most peaceful place on earth,,,My father genaro angeles, from the zamboanga pilot office just next to the city hall ,that office that controls the whole pier area and the city hall are the two most important place in the city,,,,as a guide during world war 2,,,
If the local government will be able to help educate local generation now a days the by simply sharing videos like this in high schools, grade schools and colleges even at least twice a year so that they would learn to treasure and keep it rich. And even to spread this teaching to urban.
+DSScorpion13 it is still safe to go in Zamboanga City. I have relatives that are foreigners and they are always visiting Zamboanga City during Christmas season. I would recommend you to try and visit my hometown because people are nice, food is great, culture is rich and the places are very beautiful.
Why English? The video just show you that Zamboanga city is the only remaining island that kept 70% of Spanish language. Philippines independent now but still recognize the influence and culture brought by Spain/Mexico and USA. Viva Filipinas Viva Espanya, Viva Zamboanga.
I have to be honest, its been more than 14 years now since i left the city and i didnt really miss it. Yes what made the city unique is its diverse language, culture, people, cuisine but that was just it. There's really nothing much to see. The sta cruz island boasting its pink sand it was nice but it wasnt really that amazing to see there are far better places u can visit. The central business district or the "pueblo" called by the local which supposedly the face of the city rather looks neglected, most buildings looks damp, old, and unmentained. Its sad but its giving off the vibe that it kinda forgotten. There are heritege structures located around city hall but it looks dilapidated and unrestored. It was sort of left alone to rot away. There are few developments scattered around the city though but it was not enough to make the city a good travellers destination. There are beautiful beaches around that somehow secluded but its still not safe to go around even by locals. I am from this city and i was born there but everytime i go back and visit the city it made me felt disappointed everytime. I was really hoping that someday this city can be a better destination but for now stick to destination in visayas or northern mindanao those areas are still gonna be worth your buck. I hope the local government will further exert its effort to beautify the city, improve its infrastructure, and further keep it safer for everyone. I dont want to see this city deteriorate but it kinda heading to that direction.
Diversity is the last thing a society that celebrates a unique culture should be raving about as if being diverse is even unusual. Obviously, this is a mediocre production with nothing original to say. Not that I bother to listen for more than 2 minutes. So the comment holds no water. Zamboanga makes a great topic for documentaries or vlog, but talking about how it is made beautiful by it’s so called diversity is just sounding very uninspired, naive, and ignorant of the sentiments of what truly matters in a town, it’s local people.
