Leviticus 21:1-24:23
Emor begins with commandments related to the priestly service and also the duties of the high priest. It details the things that will make those of the priesthood impure, ritually unclean or defiled and discusses the restrictions of service on the descendants of Aaron who have physical defects (they may not come near to the presence of Yah to make offerings, however they may still eat of the holy and most-holy food offerings).
Emor also gives the commandment that a new-born animal, of those ‘clean’ animals that can be offered (cow, sheep and goat), must remain with its mother for seven days, only becoming appropriate for offering following this period of time. Also included with this is the statute that an animal and its young cannot be offered on the same day.
Following this are the details of the ‘Appointed Times’, the Moedim, the holy feasts of YHVH. The statutes of each feast and when it should be celebrated are given, summarising the festivals that El Shaddai has appointed for His people: Passover (Pesach) and Unleavened Bread (Chag Matzot), First Fruits (of the barley harvest, offered during Chag Matzot), the counting of the Omer on each of the forty-nine days leading up to the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot,), the Day of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippor), Tabernacles (Sukkot) and finally the most-holy assembly of the ‘Eighth Day’, which immediately follows the seven days of Tabernacles (Shemini Atzeret).
The portion concludes with ordinances for lighting the menorah and the showbread in the Tabernacle (and later the temple). The portion then details the example of a man who was executed for blasphemy, following which are the details of punishment for murder (execution), injury or damage to property (financial compensation).

Amen, the weekly sabbath is an appointed time and such an important one... a sign between us and our Creator. The sabbath cannot be ignored- its already appointed and perpetual so we either attend or profane!🙌 As our Messiah taught, the sabbath was made for man, because when we worship God we feel drawn closer to Him, when we fellowship we are edified, and when we read His Word on a set apart day we learn more about His character and what we should imitate. It is a gift for us to bring us closer to God. Love that Ezekiel 20:12... "Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them." This shows the sabbath is for the redeemed! The sabbath and other high days speak to us about our redemption.
Really enjoyed this discussion on the weightier matters today... attending to the weightier matters when being "Torah observant" is necessary for us to fulfill God's intentions in the law. Praise Yah💜Thank you Jakkie for a great delivery on some beautiful topics.

Of course He has my heart , bonded to Him by His Spirit , each day of my life , I cannot separate days in or days out now that I AM kept by Him , by His Spirit , All of me belongs to Him , and all of Him belongs to me . How can I keep from singing, and living as UNTO HIM. Ps 23 , so I walk in Him . ❤

Luke 1:5. Zechariah was a priest and Elizabeth was a Levite. They would have had a higher standard than others. Priests were set apart (as you mentioned at the beginning of your teaching). Though they may have had unintentional sins, they likely made regular offerings for forgiveness and sanctification.

Ferrar Fenton's Translation from the 1800's.
Leviticus 23:15-16 "You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath that you bring the Wave-sheaf, seven Sabbaths. They must be complete. Then after the seventh Sabbath, you shall count fifty days, when you shall present a new offering to the EVERLIVING".

Leviticus mentions both the ninth day and tenth day. It had to give instructions to celebrate the evening of the ninth through to the evening of the 10th, otherwise people would have celebrated it beginning at sunrise on the 10th, which is when a day begins.
Shalom, what version of the Bible do you read from? I like some of the interpretations better.
Matthew 21:23. And when He was come into the Temple (early in the morning) the chief priests and the elders of the people ( religious leaders) came unto Him as He was teaching and said, by what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority?

Can someone please give me a Bible scripture in the New Testament where the apostles keeping the sabbath not we’re Paul is going in the Senegal debating with Judaism. That’s not keeping the sabbath that’s a debate.
I wish someone would answer my question. I can NOT find a job that pays me for my basic needs that doesn't require me to work at least every other sat.
Should I just live in my car so I can follow the sabbath?? This breaks my heart. I don't know what to do.... I HAVE to work on Sat. I'm a single mom. Seriously... So God is not excepting of me bc I have no choice? I have prayed for years to find a job that will provide and not uv me work on Sat..... whatever, I don't get it.

As mentioned in the video there is the "weightier matter" of the Law. If you have someone to care for and they wouldn't be as to be provided for if you left your job, we believe you have a greater responsibility to provide.
You have not found a job YET** that is not on the Sabbath. God sees your heart. Keep persevering and seeking Him 🙏

Thank you for answering. Please keep me and my daughter in prayer. I'm very frustrated with trying to understand what and HOW I'm supposed to be doing things. Especially bc every time I've learned something, down the road I learn it's something different than what I thought to be true. I've really fallen away,it eats at me every day. I pray God will put understanding,wisdom, and desire back in my mind and heart. I'm fed up with trying to figure this all out....and do it.

Yahuah created the 2 great lights on the 4th day. Scripture is written in chronological order, and He created the greater light to rule the day first, then the lesser light to rule the night. If evening was the start of the day, why was the sun created 1st?
Yahuah separated day from night. So night and day is not day. Night is night and day is day resulting in day being from morning to evening. So Day of Atonement starts in the evening of the 9th and goes till evening of 10th. This proves a day starts in the morning as there 2 dates given.
the darkness always was, until YAH created the light and called it day. The darkness He called evening. Messiah says 12 hours in a day, meaning, sunrise to sunset is a day, the evening separates the days, why, because a holy thing cannon touch an unclean thing, including the holy days from the unclean days, the separation is needed!
With study, and not relying on tradition, the scriptures show the biblical day begins in the morning. Disappointing that in this matter Brother Jack you decided to throw an insult out to those who have done the study and come to a different conclusion.
