I am planning to learn arabic to understand the people who work in the kitchen a little bit (i work in a restaurant). i know the complete language is a little too much, but its cool to scare them with some words and them thinking i secretly know arabic and understand what they say (because i know sometimes they talk about me)

Do you know how amazing it is to be able to understand written quran and able to recite it when ever you needed to call your Lord? Do you know how beautiful it is to be able to hear how God actually spoke to us and be able to understand him without a translator?. I am truly enjoying learning from you, from here...in Morocco. I've lived here since 9 years but I hear mainly 'derisia' which is the Moroccan Arabic dialect. But I continue to get back to the basics of classical Arabic...thank you Maha!
Very interesting , I just started learning Arabic and I couldn't help but notice the similarity with Maltese language. Which is very influenced by Arabic. For instance: We say Sliema Ghalikhom .. I'm so looking forward to learn this beautiful language Thanks. :)

I think that the Arabic language, at least spoken by this chic, is probably one of the top 3 prettiest languages of the world. Don't ask me what the other two are as I would have to think about it for awhile.

@@abidali78617 please, accept my apologies for asking question here and now..but I noticed that you reminded a commentator to edit a letter "a" into capital "A" (Latinic alphabet). But..are there capital letters in Arabic alphabet? So far I haven't noticed that and it seems to me that not even names of people/towns/countries begin with recognizable capital letter. Is there exception to.that? Thank you for your time

Actually, most Italians are pretty good at adapting the h sound. My stepbrother is Italian and he articulates it well despite his short knowledge of English.
@Hamppzah "al-salam" becomes "as-salam" in speech - the L in the "al" sometimes changes into the letter that comes after it (depending on which letter it is), but is still written the same way ("al")
