I was in Fame studio in 1975 with some songs me and Anthony Sazera had written, when they played us two songs by Travis Womack,Shotgun Woman and Have My Cake and Eat It Too which was a top ten at the time.
Thank you so much for hosting, recording and posting this for the global public. Those men are a national treasure. I could sit and listen to their stories all night, and you made it possible for me to do that from Ohio.
@@kenperk9854 Jimmy Johnson is gone now too and not only did he play on some legendary songs but he engineered some of the all time greats as well. He's also one of the coolest dudes ever.
@@SimpleManGuitars1973 yeah, he died back in 2019. Kinda at the end of a terrible run where we Lost Aretha, Percy Sledge, Ed King, Rick Hall, Donnie Frits, Russell Smith, Gregg Allmn and Roger Clark in fairly rapid succession. Father time is terrible and plays no favorites.
Travis Wamack 's history is nothing short of historic since he was 11 years old! Read About him and say, How did he do that and he's Still kicking it all these years later!
Pete Carr had a great resume with his works with Bob Seger, Barry Gib,Barbra Streisand, Paul Simon, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm section, Rod Stewart and the guys in the Eagles more! And the guys in the Eagles!

These guys are just Magic. Never knew they played on all those wonderful records but I'm glad I know today.

The Muscle Shoals sound beats the Philly Sound, Motown Sound, and even the Stax sound (tho just by a tinch). Muscle Shoals wins.
