I was in Fame studio in 1975 with some songs me and Anthony Sazera had written, when they played us two songs by Travis Womack,Shotgun Woman and Have My Cake and Eat It Too which was a top ten at the time.
Thank you so much for hosting, recording and posting this for the global public. Those men are a national treasure. I could sit and listen to their stories all night, and you made it possible for me to do that from Ohio.
@@kenperk9854 Jimmy Johnson is gone now too and not only did he play on some legendary songs but he engineered some of the all time greats as well. He's also one of the coolest dudes ever.
@@SimpleManGuitars1973 yeah, he died back in 2019. Kinda at the end of a terrible run where we Lost Aretha, Percy Sledge, Ed King, Rick Hall, Donnie Frits, Russell Smith, Gregg Allmn and Roger Clark in fairly rapid succession. Father time is terrible and plays no favorites.
Travis Wamack 's history is nothing short of historic since he was 11 years old! Read About him and say, How did he do that and he's Still kicking it all these years later!
Pete Carr had a great resume with his works with Bob Seger, Barry Gib,Barbra Streisand, Paul Simon, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm section, Rod Stewart and the guys in the Eagles more! And the guys in the Eagles!
These guys are just Magic. Never knew they played on all those wonderful records but I'm glad I know today.

R.I.P. Jimmy Johnson. Always wanted to make it to Muscle Shoals to see the studio.
Its still here. It now is a museum with a working Music. Studio
Thank you guys so much
Shame about the poor audio quality and audible background voices
Oh ya. Andreas is a National Treasure in his work of preserving music history and making fantastic music himself.
Thanks for keeping those wonderful guys in the public eye, they truly deserve more recognition
RIP JIMMY 2019
PETE 2020😢🎸🎸🙏🙏
the introduction music wasn't stereo but it only comes through in the left ear the whole hour
The theme of this entire video should be....here, hold my coffee!!!!!

Such talent assembled in NW Alabama! What they accomplished created a legacy that will live forever with those who love music. Thank you.
Rest in peace, Pete Carr. His guitar on Bob Seger's Main Street and Rod Stewart's Tonight's the Night is legendary.

Lots of talent on that stage
Dang those bar stools look uncomfortable, thanks for enduring fellas🤙
Interview starts at 10:30.
Very very interesting. Thank you
So cool Travis Wammack built his own fuzz. I would love to hear what it sounded like and see the schematic.

Thanks for sharing !!
Someone, give that man a table to set his cup down on, please!
Did Jimmy ever take a sip? I guess the ole retired axman just needed something to occupy that hand.
The Muscle Shoals sound beats the Philly Sound, Motown Sound, and even the Stax sound (tho just by a tinch). Muscle Shoals wins.
Agree. Just a bit muddier - a bit dirtier - a bit countrier (is that even a word???)
Andreas Werner's accent and the left channel only audio sure made this video hard to understand. Besides that is was a great interview.
The audio sucks..
History sitting on that stage
Why don't do you at least introduce the men on stage there before you get into your little stories....
