    That gesture at 08:48 always makes me chuckle.
    Thank you for your videos, they helped me to do a feature wall with some drop-match paper and it doesn't look too bad at all. First time ever doing any wallpapering and, although there are some lines, it looks far, far better than I expected. The wife said it looks "awesome". Purely down to these videos so thanks again 👍

    Buy a Wall wizz tool £3 orso amazon amazing product use in place of the caulking board to hold against paper , can also smooth down wallpaper a bit if your careful, also decent OLFA stanley blades they will make cuts neater, less rips. measure wall width and centre the wallpaer if feature wall to centre fireplace etc and work both sides out to corner

    Would it be wrong to put the paste on the wall first, instead of on the paper? I don't have a huge portable table like that; seems like putting it on the wall first would be easier.

    • @bennette4648
      @bennette4648 5 років тому +3

      There are some types of paper where you can paste the wall. But if you try it that way with a woven paper the paper will expand on the wall after you hang it and you will have all kind of problems as a result. Woven papers need to be pasted and left to soak, they will then take in the water and expand before you hang them and this soaking time is essential.

    • @Lloyd1885
      @Lloyd1885 5 років тому +1

      Yep...always follow the instructions, you should only paste the wall if the instructions say so

    A really great job. You didn’t show how you cut the vertices edges at each end. Did you use the caulking board and knife as you did along the top and bottom? As you won’t have put soft filler into the vertices corners, is there more chance of snagging the paper when cutting it?

    • @helenaville5939
      @helenaville5939 4 роки тому

      You just cut the end strips to size on the table, avoding any messy vertical cutting on the wall.

    • @mattychapatti7342
      @mattychapatti7342 2 роки тому +2

      @@helenaville5939 no you trim it to slightly larger than hou need then finish with the knife and board as shown here.. you'd never cut it to fit the corner profile from the table.

    Is the sponge dry or damp?

    • @bennette4648
      @bennette4648 5 років тому +1

      Damp. And clean. Rinse it regularly in clean water to make sure you're not simply smearing paste back on the wall - it will show when it's dry.
