As an OEF combat veteran I was struggling with life and I'd cut everyone off throwing walls up mentally except my wife. When we dated we'd come back to her place and she'd put on music and we'd slow dance. She came to me one evening while I was isolating and in my head. She'd lite candles in the living room and she put this song on. She looked me in the eyes and said"ease come back home to me, I need you here!" We danced the night away and whenever this comes on we stop what we are doing and slow dance. She saved my life along with this young lady's words in this song. Cheers!

i had an emotional connection to this song because it was practically keeping me alive through all the tough times going on in my life during 2021. id play it through my earbuds when my family was fighting really bad and it would block out the noise and calm me down. i fell in love with a boy who i thought would be my forever and he, out of just an act of kindness, learned how to play guitar just so he could play this song for me himself when i was upset. i loved him with everything in me. he was the reason i was still alive. i had extremely bad health back then, and was dealing with a lot mentally because i was constantly in the hospital. he ended up cheating on me while i was in surgery and never spoke to me again. i still wonder how hes doing sometimes, because what people say is a lie. you never fully get over someone, you just learn to cope with their absence. i can’t listen to this song anymore, so i had to choose another song to replace it with. moral of the story: don’t trust anyone no matter what, live for yourself and not others, and most importantly, DONT SHARE YOUR FAVORITE SONGS WITH PEOPLE.
