- Today I'm showing how I'm fixing Bloodborne's various rendering oversights that are present in the current version of the game. Many mappieces will render in and out at the wrong times. But mainly, it's low quality versions that are used for distant detail, and then higher quality versions load in when you're closer. I'm making it so we always have the highest quality. At least when it's noticeable to the player. #bloodborne #bloodbornepc #shadps4

I know about FPS Boost, Baked Lighting Removal and Reduced pointlights mod, but any other you can suggest or even make🤗
What about Cut content ? Is that something you wanna look into for you Remaster Project ?

The game indeed have some fog, but the emulator doesn't render any of it yet.
It needs a real pea-souper!
PS4 version is very foggy with enemies hidden in it so it will come, i'll give it a year and no doubt there will be picture perfect emulation by then on AMD gpu
Have you seen what the pre-release demo looks like? The fog it has is fantastic imo, I'd love to see that around the whole game where it makes sense

P.S. Let me remind you that Sony chose to invest $200-400 millions in Concord instead of Bloodborne remaster.
Just the fact they did a remake of until Dawn instead of anything BB related is stupid, now we have rumors of Horizon and Days gone remaster, if that's true, I don't even know what to call sony

interesting so thats the reason why that one lamp yahar'gul just pops into existence.
i wonder if a lot of these LOD models just stand out so much because the lighting isnt fully there yet. i bet they matched them up quite a bit to the real geometry for the final product but now they stick out like a sore thumb because they are lit completely different

The fact that Sony has yet to release an official remaster of Bloodborne speaks volumes about how out of touch they are with their community. They have no problem re-releasing The Last of Us, Horizon, and God of War for the 20th time, but the one game that everyone actually wants and that would be a massive hit in sales, they simply ignore. Whoever is in charge at Sony should be booted out of the company.
just found your channel, love looking at bb from a modding perspective and am fascinated at your knowledge/skills. i can't believe the progress this ps4 emulator made with bb (they should rename it to chadps4 lol). question, can bb support resolutions higher than 1080p? someone told me (regarding the ps4/ps5 patches) that there's an engine limitation and 1440p/2160p is not possible...but does this make sense for a game developed in 2014/2015 on the same engine that runs their other games? i need to dl this emulator sometime and mess around with it.
This is such an awesome passion project worked on by talented people with an eye for detail! AND it is now much more impressive than anything a AAA publisher can shit out with their half ass console to pc ports! Thanks man, im loving the progress!
It would be nice if you'll track bugs outside of any of your mods, dynamic shadows for instance is a controversial mod since it changes how locations looks vs original intend quite a bit
after they fixed emulator ı would download all your mods and experience this masterpiece once again

I wonder if the framerate patch will allow us to eventually push 120fps without game breaking bugs, since 60 is already possible.
Really exciting to see it take shape. I cannot play it on my PS4 anymore, the horrendous performance gives me headaches.
Do you plan on making a more in-depth compatibility patch for Age of Sunlight for DSR with your Reremastered mod? I know there is one that does exist, but it's missing some of the stuff from the mod, such as the custom items that mod brings. They talk about it a bit in the description of the mod.

Is there a way to increase the resolution of the boss healthbar? It looks fine but its way too easy to see the individual pixels on it and could use an upscale. Looking forward to the Bloodborne remaster project!
UI mods were popular with Souls, even DeS so it will happen for sure if not happened already.

There's also the "issue" (unless it's intended?) with the amygdala eyes not showing up, but I think if you look at one of them from some angle (don't remember from where, but it's at a larger distance) you can see the eyes.
Just waiting for the death bed smalls mod to drop. If you know, you know.

The work you doing is really impressive! Have you thought about trying to add some of the deleted or cut content, just to see what's possible? Curious just how far we can go with modding in it's current state.
You can already fight Alternate Moon Presence in the retail version of the game via hacked chalices, and there's a mod on Nexus that reworks Great One Beast into a functional fight. It's probably a matter of when not if that stuff gets working with the emulated game, but seems like a waste of resources to be doing that now.

Are you still having vertex explosions on a regular basis? I ask because I have them constantly with my AMD system, but it seems to work fine on yours.

Question: How much would this tank performance? I believe the main reason they do the low LOD on backgrounds is to save on resources.
Depends on what it is. On an actual PS4 there's not much wiggle room. I would hope the emulator is targeting PS4 Pro performance? In which case this stuff is likely fine.
Also depends on how the emulator works, typically they replicate the performance limitations of the actual console but apparently the PS4 is far closer to a conventional PC than most older consoles so maybe there's a way around that.
Regardless, pretty sure Fromsoftserve is at this stage just doing this for fun and performance isn't a massive concern yet.
i'm enjoying your content abit too much that I'm loading map and try to mess with them myself. quick question when you select map pieces they are highlighted in orange and you can mess with them individually but when I select them, a big chunk is selected with no highlight, how do u do this can you please explain, and we are here for the ride not the destination, a more elaborate approach would be highly appreciated.

Lighting is still not rendering correctly in the emulator
Do you really need to quit the game to reload map changes? I'm not editing draw and display groups but duplicating and rearranging map pieces and lights and all I need to do to refresh is quit to main menu and reload. It's super fast.
i hate these old LOD mechanics. UE5 got them figured out properly
what about enable the backtrack for the twitch lives?
The game runs really poorly for me as is haha. If I set the resolution above 720p it crashes within 20 seconds of gameplay
how complicated would it be to export a mesh and reimport?
