do not use QW to harass enemies in the wave it's 25%ap ratio with no bonus if hit inside a wave with no cc for 100-120 mana not worth ever. instead you can QE the wave and EE the enemy inside of it to get 2-3abilites + passive +comet while also wave clearing.
Especially as support QE is my bread and butter, helps prevent being shoved to keep bush control + very often ends up hitting enemy champs since they underestimate the range (similar to Morgana circle ability) then follow it up with EE.
Tried running first strike and lategame it feels monstrous, but early I often just max E for mana sustain and keeping lane neutral as long as possible to absorb exp
I was wondering if Hwei ADC + yuumi sup would work since yuumi E restores a small bit of mana
Yes you can use it, just play EZ + QZ agaisn't champs trying to ourtange you
@@2tryfree i'm assuming you mean W and if EW hits an enemy that outranges u in lane they must be iron or bronze, not trying to be mean but the ability is just not supposed to hit champions that move even pre boots.
Some critique:
Only use QW to kill low enemys or stop backs, not to poke. Saying the passive isn't important is just wrong, you allways want to combo spells to trigger it if possible (easier with cc spells second) else you miss out on alot of dmg. Tear isn't nessesary if you can manage your WE. QE can be dodged after a certain range if you don't have ping issues 😂
At the end of the day, you gotta play him to get better at using him and comboing the abilites along with build pathing. I did find electrocute to be really nice as well as comet when trying all the different rune pathings possible.
Comet with QE is just way too strong to pass up on imo

This felt like the K'Sante video where he beat everyone under tower as they dove him over and over... HW was getting help from everyone... he is not flashy what so ever it seems...
Personally I like running ghost and tenacity ruins with merc treads. Build first laundries and cosmic drive. You go absolutely crazy in team fights can throw qqs for days uncontested dancing right outside everyone’s ranges with your movement speed and using your wq

The E jaws are so useful for arena mode I find i can use it to pull the two enemies gogether and gurantee I hit the ultimate with both enemies in the centre. If you wait till they run through a pinch point on the map so they cant move then pull them together and combo them it is insane and they have nowhere to run the fight is over in a few seconds if you do it fast ebough they can't react, works even better if you have a partner with additional cc to lock down the ones with flashes and dashes. It probably works in rift situationally too maybe if you catch two or three people out at a choke point
I like using qe/ee in lane to force the opponent into the fire and proc passive

i think ppl are underestimating how op qe ee is in the laning phase. cos you can clear the wave while pulling them into the qe area of effect which damages them procs the passive and slows them setting up for an ult when thyre low
Compared to other mage his QE EE is just average if he has some kind of lockdown ability that keep the enemy stay on his QE then it will be strong but he doesn't have any

Thanks i really needed this video as a future otp hwei because i was playing him and felt like i did no dmg and didnt what spell to use for everysituation
I played him on pbe and some on league when he came out. I prefer starting with e and using his aoe root, it’s kinda short on the range so you have to walk up. Then ult the target since they can’t move, then you use q empowered fire ball or the trail or even one that drops a strike. This combo procs your passive and keeps the target still which allows you Space to play

Because it does max hp% dmg? QW deal dmg based on the lost hp of the opponent, while QQ do max hp% dmg, that's mean the most burst is from QQ
Other reply was kinda dumb, QQ will do the most damage because of its max health % damage. But after and enemy is under 50% (more like 35%tbh) then QW will do more damage though is a little harder to hit. Though you're right, it's not current health % damage so either will suffice. Just QW is more of an execute than QQ

How is Q-W high risk high reward? It has by far the biggest range of all his abilities. He can literally throw it with no repercussions whatsoever. All he loses is mana and with W-E he can get it back very easily. If anything it's a no risk- low reward because it's delay makes it hard to land.
Missed opportunity to title this "How to SLAY as Hwei."

I find max E first better since it's almost half the mana, EE is easy to hit and its almost the same damage as the q spells. And your best trade imo is WE->EE->QW/QQ and maxing E first brings your cd to about the same as Q.
hwei is weak early game he can only trade if the enemy play aggressive so max q and focus on pushing is still a better option
@@minhminh-wp5lg This was before the q buffs and reduced mana costs. I agree now that q max is better.
his passive should have been to lower the CD of the spells when he combos

This champion is broken with presence of mind and WW. Impossible to trqde against with summon aery procs and mana sustain. Also go tenacity and rush rylais first item since its 2600 gold and it makes every ability slow.

this champ does no dmg.... compared to 80% of others .... guess we wait for new season items for him to be playable or something
He struggles to secure kills, but his damage isn't lacking by any means. I've been consistently top damage or near top ever since I started playing him. His utility, CC and peel more than makes up for his lack of kill secure, though, as you can make sure your teammates or yourself can get out of a bad spot, chase down, or snipe low health enemies, and his teamfight and zoning capabilities are incredible.
@@gebdemedici he have damage but it not consistent. He can only deal dame when the enemy play into you which kinda bad

EW does not proc on minions. You can throw it into the middle of a minion wave and it will still root the first CHAMPION that enters the circle.
It doesnt proc on minions but itll root them if they stand between the eye and the enemy champion
