Had 2 long haired and 4 short haired German Shepherd Dogs. Loved them all the 2 long haired ones were not a pair together. The female was gorgeous with soft silky fur that matted in the usual places about 2 hours after brushing. She adored being brushed, would bring you her brush every night so a part got done every night. The other long haired was a male and hated grooming... He had lived with another family before we got him and something must have happened re grooming and his all round care. He eventually learned the brush and the bath etc were safe and most of all he was safe with us, took us nearly 2 years to help him become a fantastic affectionate goofball. The 4 short haired ones were fine re grooming, loved a bath and a swim and in great weather hosed down with the garden hose and bathed outside..... As we all know GSDs shred things and also shed hair constantly plus the 2 big blow out of fur twice a year. We would pluck them and leave the hair out for nesting birds. Currently we have a beagle x pug belonging to my daughter who never seems to shed but loves a good old scrub in the shower and a bristle brush for grooming.. (yes we get in there with a comb or slicker). So all dogs are welcome here (farm life... Also had border collies and Jack Russells. They worked. 4 out of the 6 GSDs worked as shepherding dogs, with Cattle. The remaining 2 preferred the couch or their bed but excellent Gaurd dogs for the house and would be out with our children to keep them safe. I love pekinese dogs they are so cute... but I do prefer big dogs...
Hey, thanks! :D We appreciate you subscription for 8 months! :D That's great motivation for our work. Tell me, which type of videos do you like the most? Neglected dogs or nice haircuts?
I wonder if the owner rents herself out for breeding also? If it's good enough for the dog it sould be good enough for her. These dogs have feelings and should be treated with kindness and love not as money machines. Shame on these people
No good breeder would ever leave a Pekingese outside very long. They cannot protect themselves since they have very short legs and a small mouth. They cannot protect their eyes either. One shake from a medium size dog would break his neck. One bite in the face would mangle his nose, eyes, muzzle and throat. They have massive double coats and cannot take the heat, and the sunlight destroys their hair. Brachycephalic breeds cannot breathe well in extreme cold or extreme heat. This dog is owned by a backyard puppy mill. Awful way to treat a sweet gentle breed. As far as the grooming, Pekingese's double coat should never be shaved. It protects their body from sunburn. A 1" puppy cut should be as short as the groomer cuts. Mats on a Pekingese do not require shaving. The mats can be pulled apart with your fingers, but it is a time comsuming process and expensive. When brushing a Pekingese, you should always use a spray bottle with coat conditioner or water mixed with a little bit of conditioner. Never brush or comb a wet Peke or a dry Peke.
They are not outside all day long... They are just big part of the day outside. This is much more heltier for dogs, then holding them locked in some box or something...
I still do not understand that. This kind of dog should be inside unless they have to potty!!!!! Maybe, i am different, my entire family keeps their fur babies inside unless they have to potty!!!
Poor dog having to go through a painful treatment like dematting once a month. Breeders need to go through this process themselves, they'd soon look after the dogs better.
She's a cute dog but still needed to be trimmed up. She has too much hair for her size. I would have trimmed up her face as wel. Her face doesn't look clean enough for my liking. I would of used a tearless shampoo on the face and a flea comb to remove the dirty below her eyes. I would have shampooed her face twice followed by a conditioner.
This breed has documention that is at least 2,500 years old in ancient Chinese scrolls. Because the breed has not changed in over 2,500 years, it is in the top 10 list of dogs most closely related to wolves. Scientists completed DNA testing on all breeds a few years ago. It is one of the oldest prebred breeds in the world which was stolen from the Imperial Palace in Peking (Beijing). Many breeds are less than 100 years old or even 50. They may not be for everyone, especially for people who want a "wash and wear" dog, but toy dogs have their place too.

I evaluate dogs by their temperament not the length of their coat. This one is a wonderful dog, very sweet and obedient.
Love long hair dogs!!!
I prefer short hair with recessed eyes. I really enjoy watching you work and the way the dogs appear after you finishing grooming them

😊
Great
Why would a Breeder keep dogs outside intentionally?? Am I missing something or is that complete nonsense?? Anyone??

@@BranislavMandic ok, thanks...
I didn’t believe it either, but people can be heartless, mean and stupid

Pekingese have too much hair. I like small dogs with not so much hair. You do a great job . I am glad that you are saving your lungs.
🙏
They will bite you without any concern. Snappy little dogs.
Not all of them are snappy.
Wonderful little dogs.

I'll never understand how people can have pets just to leave them outside,it's wrong and cruel 😢
She is not a pet and she is not always outside. Just during a day 🙂
@@GroomHouse she's not a pet? That's sad but u did say she lives outside!!

I have had Pugs, Boxers, Huskies, Malamutes, Schnauser, Labs, Beagles and Mutts. My 2 Pekingese are my favorite all time and are wonderful!
I am sad they live outside 😢 and they are used for breeding 😢
Hey guys, I love watching your work but please, please get rid of the porn music!!! How about some classical, classy music once in a while, yes?
