funfact: timo bernhard, driver of the 919 on the nordschleife, said the car would have been up to 8 second quicker but the tyres wouldnt allow that.... if the car wouldve used 100% of its potential the tyres would only last 2/3 of a lap...
so that means, without any kind of limitations, like tyres or "selfmade restrictions" of the car, it wouldve been the fastest car of all time. i mean, the spa record got broken two times after the 919 record....
Honestly, it's predecessor, the Oreca 05, probably would've if DP-era IMSA didn't exist; the 05 was stupidly fast, especially with KCMG and Thiriet by TDS.
Good video. Slight correction though, the V6 version of the Escudo was single engine. Suzuki did run twin engine Pikes Peak cars before that (also with a Cultus/Swift/Geo Metro-body), but those were powered by 1.6L turbo four cylinders.
I thoroughly enjoyed your video! Here are some car suggestions in case you will continue this series: 1998 Team Taisan Toyota mr2, Toyota TS010 (Sydney Motorsports Park), Lancia Delta S4 (Was shown in the intro but still), Chaparral 2J and 2F, Auto Union Type C Streamliner, Outlaw Sprint Cars, and Junior Johnson’s 1966 Ford Galaxie
Junior Johnson deserves a standalone video. He is a legend in NASCAR culture, not just for his 1966 Galaxie, but for his ability to bend the regulations to the extreme, as well as the number of technical innovations he brought to the sport. As S1apShoes eloquently said in one of his videos, it's often joked about that "Junior wrote half of the NASCAR rulebook".
Some of my favorites are the Nissan delta wing and the Tyrell p34. Also any cars chaparral ever made with those huge-ass wings that nobody else used Lol
I loved this video and i get not saying it for the sake of making the video better but the Current Spa-Francorchamp Overall Lap Record is held by the W11 also this is a series id love to watch keep it up!
Nice video! You definitely covered some great racing machines. Also it’s nice to see a video that’s simple but still well edited. 👍 One thing that I wanted to point out is that while the 2020 was a Mercedes-dominated F1 season, it’s wasn’t entirely a boring one. Mostly because of many dramatic moments that has happened during that season. Like Pierre Gasly’s win and Roman’s fiery crash.
I missed the 2020 Italian Grand Prix because I stayed up late that Saturday and the season was so boring up to that point that I decided it wasn't worth getting up early to watch. I got up after sleeping in and was shocked to see "Gasly, first time winner" headlines plastered everywhere. That was one of those races where dumb penalties for Hamilton gave the rest of the field a shot in an otherwise dominant season for him.
4:40 the Widest thing about the Evo is that Neel claims that the car could’ve gone faster. But the most limiting factor was himself, the car was pulling an Avg. of 4.5G’s over the lap. And his body wound have not been able to cope with the G’s for enough time for a lap, at 100%
Just gonna leave my comment here, in case this channel becomes popular (which it probably will), imma be one of the very first subscribers in the good olden days of 2024.
3:48 i'm sorry, is he going through eu rouge and raidillon flat with the drs open?! how the hell did i nver notice that, the downforce levels of this thing trully must be mind bogling
I'm not sure if obnoxious is the right word for this series. Legendary, Mythical, Incredible, Bewildering or something similar would be better fits. "Obnoxious" just means annoying or unpleasant 😂
What if Porsche decided to push 919 evo beyond boundaries with gas high compression and high revving 2 stroke engine that's basically an on off switch of power I wonder who tf wanted to ride such monster

Porsche's simulated best time was under 5 minutes too!
And also he even said the limitations of the car was himself, since he need to train even more if he wanna go faster with 919 evo
so that means, without any kind of limitations, like tyres or "selfmade restrictions" of the car, it wouldve been the fastest car of all time. i mean, the spa record got broken two times after the 919 record....
Wasn’t it also held back at Spa due to the G-Forces it could pull?
Remarkable that it still was almost a minute faster than Bellof's lap regardless, it is certainly something to not scoff at fs
I think that fact that the Oreca 007 broke the LMP2 class makes it worthy of a section in a future episode

Was just about to say the same
The question now is... did they use the g13b or original g16 cylinder heads on those engines. (I like stirring the pot) 😂

Those who played PlayStation and Gran Turismo know why the Escudo is on the list too

My thoughts exactly.

The delta wing should go on your next video

I wonder who tf wanted to ride such monster
👇Real mf's who knows the F2004>W11
I would say the mercedes from 2014 and the red bull from Last year was better, plus f1 still faster than 911, pluuus. Who tf even are you.
