I've been living on the mountains for a few years, at 1100 meters hight and I wouldn't trade this life for anything in the world!
Learn to build a shelter with everything you can find in the forest. There are always enough materials to build a shelter and without cutting down live trees!
You can also find nature accommodations for overnight stays such as a cliff shelter or small caves are always to be found in the mountains!
My biggest passion is having outdoor adventures on the mountain in the forest!! I always love to visit stunning places!

Don’t know where you are but here in the mountains of New Mexico it’s hard digging and trees are not that dang straight, well some are but not on this side of the mountains! Good work though and great skill set

Concur. Kostas - when will you attempt to notch the logs to reduce your use of rope / cord to secure the logs in place? I know it takes longer to build but the results are probably worth it in the long run. Stay safe on Mount Olympus and closer to the Gods.

when was your last rain? that is the absolute driest ive ever seen you deal with. we went to ireland in 2018, and let me tell you, it was NOT the emerald isle they promise. they were having a record heat wave (80 every day) and hadnt had rain in so long, the dairymen were getting worried about their cows. i slept w/ a wet towel on me every night to stay cool.
