I'm going on a trip deep in the mountains to a chestnut forest and staying the night in a 50 year old stone cottage with my dog Bonny!
The hut was in excellent condition after my last visit 2 years ago.
I just had to clean the hut, free it from dust and clear the front garden of leaves so that there was no risk of fire!
For dinner I made steaks for us with boiled potatoes and vegetables on the fire!
I really enjoyed that trip

I've been living on the mountains for a few years, at 1100 meters hight and I wouldn't trade this life for anything in the world!
My biggest passion is having outdoor adventures on the mountain in the forest!
I always love to visit stunning places!

I like this house 🏡 quite and natural real life to live forever. listening to all the birds sounds. It making feel like I living in village in my own home 🏡 country side in the farm. No car 🚗 no TV . One old bicycle 🚲 in family every day going to farm to work.

i had a girl dog named Bonny as a young boy more than 70 years ago... love your Bonny, such a sweetheart, and love what you do... my Bonny was an Afghan Hound, much bigger than me at that point in time ;)... have had a dog partner most of my life since then... currently sharing space on the Big Island of Hawaii with two beautiful White Swiss Shepherd brothers, Singh and Tiger...

we had 2 chestnut trees in our backyard at our old house. american chestnuts were almost extinct until recently. my husband is 65 and he remembers one WAY out in the country when he was in his late teens. they have since been re-instated through genetics. i hope we can have one again someday. we do have a tree native to north america called the pawpaw. its like a cross between a banana and a tropical fruit called a mango (or maybe papaya. cant remember). it is its own plant/tree and makes the best ice cream. largest ive ever see was about as big as my fist. sort of kidney shaped, and a nice shade of yellow green. good to see you on again. bonnie too. big girl now. have a good'un.
that was lamb, wasnt it. i miss lamb. way to expensive here in the states. whats the elevation at this camp? it was chilly here today. very sunny but not warm.

It was considerate of the last person to use the place to leave those cameras in there to film your entrance. :)
I noticed that you poured the water out after you boiled your potatoes. Could you have used that water for something else like instant soup or something similar? For a fifty year abandon cabin it look in good shape.
Something to thing about is a hanging bed frame not hammock. You are off the cold ground. Lifted up for more space. With four ropes it doesn't swing as easily as two ropes
