Society wouldn't exist without organisation and whether we like it or not voting is an integral part of that. Of course politicians exploit it but there has to be participation otherwise anything could happen like a dictator etc. Doing nothing equals nothing happening

It does effect you ... if you see things you don't like then get in touch with your politicians .. if enough people say "not happy with X" that can change the dial ...
