Great vid, love Plas Johnson. Gosh, how he blows the subtones ... this is the classic tenor sound, just amazing. As a kid I really loved the pink panther theme. I believe that's why I wanted to learn playing the saxophone. Thanks Jamie. Cheers!
hi, thank you so much for the time you take to teach the world what you know. Pink Panther is my favourite ever sax tune. I think the song was just made for it. if you have time could you pls do Winelight Groover Washington. not the repetitive part. can manage that but he solos after. that i get confused with. thanks .
Thanks a lot for this great learning video to learn pink panther on saxophone. Can you please also make similar videos on: 1. Shape of you (by Ed Sheran) song cover, 2. Thank you (by Dido) song cover.
Hey Jamie, this theme sounds like coming from such a cool and relax world. I would enjoy to learn how to play it, but how to do with an alto ? I tried to find it myself but somehow I just found a few notes...... for sure you'll have the answer !
Thanks Trev. Strangers on the Shore is clarinet and I only cover sax, however, I found this great lesson from Nigel McGill for that tune, try this out. ua-cam.com/video/Dd75c7jKack/v-deo.html

I was just wondering : I started The Alto Sax 2 weeks ago, started by learning Pink Panther with fingering videos. Now I'm starting to read music sheets, and as I download your sheet for Pink Panther I realize I Learned a different way to play it. Not a matter of octave, it's even different notes. How can this be possible? It still sounds familiar to me the way I used to play it. How I Learned it : G# A B C Your sheet : C C# D E Is it that I can't already read music and I made a mistake somewhere ? I'm a little bite frustrated I want to play it the right way ! If there's a right way... Thank's !
You haven’t made a mistake my friend. You just learned it in a key that isn’t the same as the original. If you play along with the original you’ll soon see. You see, the original was played on tenor and it sounds better in a lower key on that instrument. Because alto is a higher instrument that song sounds quite low in the original key so most people transpose it to make it sound better on alto. I always do everything in the original key on get your sax together. 😊
@@GetYourSaxTogether Wow thank's so much for your quick answer ! Ok I get it, I realize now that I should not try to perform Tenor pieces on my Alto Sax, and should just buy a Tenor Sax :D A huge thank Man, You're doing a great job, definitely the best Sax channel for me. A very good teacher ! Still have a lot to learn you might see me in the comment section again :D Cheers.
Yeh, it’s quite hard to get a good sax sound my friend. Make sure you’re on my mailing list because later this year I’ve got a whole course coming out to help you get a great sound. It’s called total tone mastery.
